Vacation rentals with a kayak in Dixie County

We absolutely enjoyed our stay while working to restore power to Steinhatchee and Keaton Beach after Hurrican Helene. This would be a great place to come back on vacation and enjoy the town!

This has by and far been our favorite stay! The house is situated so that the views are wonderful from all angles and the house feels comfortable!

Very well done refurbishing on the inside. So nice! We especially loved the huge Florida room with the wet bar/kitchen area! Comfortable seating, huge tv and just so peaceful. The neighbor was also friendly. We had a great time on a short trip on the inlet of the river using the canoe and kayak that were supplied. We also utilized the fire pit. Wish we could have stayed longer and hope to go back again!

This place was better than the pictures. It was like going back to the old Florida charm right on the river, so peaceful and we saw lots of wildlife.Neighbors were quiet and friendly...a must stay!

Great place to stay. Plenty od space to spread out our group and great spaces to gather and enjoy each others company. Safe and secure from check-in to check-out. Very clean and quiet. Didnt hear the other guests or neighbors after we went to bed. There are PLENTY of creature comforts to make tge stay enjoyable. Dual thermostats, one upstairs for the living space and one downstairs for the bedrooms. As the community continues to recover from a bad hurricane, this will only get better and better as a place to enjoy a week or more. THANKS SO MUCH to the great host for providing such a wonderful vacation spot.

We didn’t really have time to do all the stuff around the farm. We wanted to do two events, but the house was super nice and accommodating. We were there for an archery tournament so every day was a run run run and this was a good place to come to at the end of the day and relax. It was quiet and secluded and we had a good time there.

Laura was an excellent host!! Thankfully she had the availability to shift our stay by 1 day. Everything went so smoothly at check-in, no problems there! Don’t worry about carrying everything up those stairs; there is a dumb waiter to help bring up all the many things, you of course, won’t really need. lol Laura’s home was wonderfully decorated and she supplies all the useful items that you will need. Everything was clean and comfortable! Made our sister weekend very enjoyable!!

Perfect spot for the location 20 minutes from anything we wanted to do.

Beautiful house lovely house, responsive, helpful

A perfect place for rest, quiet, sunshine, slower pace of life. My wife and I bicycle, the roads in the area are great for cycling- negligible traffic, respectful drivers. This cottage is close to the road for getting into town, it was perfect for cycling. There really is no ocean beach in Steinhatchee, the closest one is 17 miles up. There is kayaking on the river. Steinhatchee was hit hard by the last hurricane, not many stores/restaurants had fully recovered, but all were trying heroically. It's a fishing village and its main tourist season is in summer for scalloping. We were there in April so it was very quiet. The nearest bigger grocery store is 20-30 min away, so plan accordingly. There are smaller stores in town for quick items. The cottage is clean, it's cozy, and very comfortable. Jessica was excellent with questions, very quick to respond, and had good advice. We enjoyed our stay in the Big Bend area of Florida very much. Thank you for sharing your cottage, Jessica.

This is a great find! It was exactly the escape we were looking for, and I wouldn’t be surprised if we return someday. John was a great host all-around, and we felt right at home. Highly recommended.

Abby was truly a gift from God. We went away last min for Easter and she surprisingly hid Easter eggs for our littles to find which had them excited and surprised to be welcomed in such a beautiful matter. It meant so much to us. We definitely felt at H❤️ME.

Phenomenally beautiful location. Clean river that provided a full day of fun. Some of the deepest sleep I’ve had this year. No loud partying and plenty of friendly local folks.
