Hohenstein is not a transit point and is very quiet at an altitude of about 360 m. The nearest EK stores are 3.5 km away. Hohenstein Castle (over 800 years old, 150 meters away) offers six weeks of castle festivals in summer and is open daily from 10 am to 6 pm. Three beautiful golf courses are about 25 minutes away. The hiking trails "Rheinsteig," "Burgensteig," "Wispertal" and the "Rheingau-Riesling-Route" can be reached quickly. Guests with bicycles get their money's worth. E-bikes would be great.

Our well-equipped self-catering holiday flat is in Langhecke, and looks over the valley which leads down to the Lahn river in Aumenau. The flat is ideal as a basis for trecking trips, canoe trips on the Lahn, (motor)bike tours or trail riding (ask us about keeping your horses nearby!). ICE train station and outlet in Montabaur can be reached in 15 minutes. Cologne and Frankfurt airports can be reached in 45 minutes. Various tourist attractions are available nearby. Despite the good connection, the place is in a rural idyll. The apartment is built barrier-free and senior-friendly.

Very nice apartment with terrace

You will stay centrally located in the Mülheim district. In the immediate vicinity, you will find one of the best restaurants in the region, Restaurant Linde. Just 100 meters away is a small but nice bakery. A few steps further is a nice ice cream shop. In a few minutes by bike you can reach the Rhine with great bike paths towards Koblenz or Andernach.

The property is idyllically located on the outskirts of Rotenhain overlooking forest and meadows in the middle between Hachenburg, Westerburg and Bad Marienberg. The apartment is on the ground floor. I live with my partner on the upper floor. The beautiful garden with terrace can be shared and is great for relaxing, barbecuing or playing for children.
