Vacation rentals with lake access in Devon

We had a wonderful stay at Bridesmere over New Year and it was just what we needed. Peaceful, beautiful area, lovely comfortable home from home. We appreciated the enclosed garden for our spaniel, the beautiful and spacious bedrooms and the living area which was large enough for all 7 of us, two families. WiFi was strong upstairs so no issue with all of us connected and the tv had all apps we needed to watch films with no buffering. There is a beautiful walk through the forest along the river just minutes from the house which leads to a very nice pub serving good food. As other reviews mention, the kids room smells a little musty/damp but this was not a huge issue and we opened the bathroom window after showering which helped. Kitchen well stocked but knives are a little blunt! Children loved the games barn and not having to bring bikes with us was really helpful and appreciated. Overall we couldn’t have asked for a nicer stay and we would definitely return. Thank you for having us.

We had a wonderful stay, and really didn’t want to leave! What a wonderful house, and the garden is absolutely stunning. The five children were endlessly entertained by the garden and hide and seek in the house when the rain inevitably came. You are really close to all the great beaches and there is loads to do right at your doorstep. Wendy was very helpful and gave us great local recommendations. Thank you for having us!!

Harriet's house was perfect for our family get together. the house is maintained to a high standard with all kitchen facilities that could possibly be needed. The sofas and all seating was extremely comfortable as we're the beds. the large downstairs kitchen, diner and livingroom meant nobody was left out, playing games, eating etc. We will look forward to visiting again soon.

We enjoyed a short break at The Slipway , a beautifully presented, well located house. It was spotlessly clean and very quiet, yet only a short wander into town. The view from the front windows is wonderful whatever the weather . Thank you for being such responsive hosts , offering an early check in and being very accommodating from booking to check out. We would highly recommend this house.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the cottage is just beautiful, well equipped and in a lovely location, even though it's right on the road there was no noise from passing cars. Louise is a great host and responded to queries quickly. We would love to stay again.

Hannah and Heath’s place was the perfect place to do some of the Tarka trail, we also went off and did some of the south west coastal path. The house was perfect for our needs a well stocked kitchen, clean and tidy, with plenty of wood for the wood burner. Hannah and Heath were alway about to help as well. It was a lovely stay, definitely recommend it.

Me and the family (5 adults plus 2 dogs!) stopped at this property, & it was perfect! The surroundings are beautiful & peaceful, & the wood fired hot tub really is such a luxury! Pollyanna & her family were friendly & extremely helpful. Communicating instructions prior to arrival, along with being there to welcome us, & on hand for anything needed during our stay. The property itself was spacious & had everything we needed, whilst being located a short drive away from points of interest in the area! Can not recommend this place enough, & would love to return myself one day!

We had a wonderful stay in this very comfortable apartment. The bed is one of the best we've slept in. Everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Very close to beautiful walks and amenities. Only slight negative was the noise early in the morning when staff are preparing breakfast for the BandB guests in the main residence but we were not put off by this. We will definitely be returning.

We had a great stay at Zaneta’s place on our way down to Cornwall with 2 children in tow. The space was exactly as described, clean and cosy with beautiful decor. Great communication from Zaneta, I didn’t have to question a thing! This is our 4th stay at Royal William’s Yard, the location has everything you need right on your doorstep and is a stunning upmarket spot. Will definitely return.

Jo and Graham are great hosts. My dog and I felt welcome immediately. Very good amenities and beautiful surroundings. They went above and beyond for me.

We had a fantastic time. The accommodation was clean and tidy, the views were delightful. the children enjoyed playing in the games room, meeting the animals and relaxing in the hot tub. The hosts were kind, friendly and engaging and made our stay a delight.

Great Host, great caravan, close to onsite amenities and around a ten minute walk to beach front, great location to explore the surrounding areas. Will definitely be going again 😊.

The host, Loretta was great - very friendly and super helpful for local recommendations. Small touches like cream tea on arrival were great! A beautiful little property in a lovely quiet area next to the famous Tunnels Beaches.

I can't say enough about how amazing Cherilyn is! She went above and beyond for us. Her property is in an exquisite area, and had everything we needed. The village has lots of quaint, and interesting nooks and crannies to explore. Just the right balance between nature and a lovely, friendly village. Two fresh, local Cornish pasties were waiting for us on arrival, and they were to die for 😋 I would highly recommend staying here! Thanks again for having us in your lovely annex. We will be back!! ❤️

This is a perfect cottage in a perfect spot. We have loved coming here again. Everything was great with the accomodation, well equiped, comfy beds, love the log burner, really appreciate the parking permit. Nothing negative to say, wish I lived here. Thanks for a great stay.

Karen’s and Steve’s place is in a beautiful location. Lots of beautiful scenery and animals walking around in the huge garden The animals are very friendly and extremely quiet. The property is a beautiful cottage with lovely views. Secure rear garden for our little dog to walk around talking to the chickens and ducks and geese etc. Steve and Karen were extremely helpful and made you feel very welcome. Made for a relaxing weekend stay which is exactly what we wanted.

We've stayed with Julie last yeat and we were as happy this time as we were the first. Lovely and friendly and showed me the other accommodations she has which were beautiful and very well thought out with everything you could possibly need. We will definitely be going again. I cannot fault this accommodation at all.

Lovely little cottage in good location with river view from upstairs and parking. Easy access to plymouth centre by ferry and bus, friendly pubs nearby serving food and acces to coastal path for good walks from the doorstep.

Had a fabulous stay at Olivia’s Orchard cottage. Lots to do with farm animals around, Games room, outdoor games and lots of walks to relax and unwind at the property. Property was in proximity to Plymouth and Looe and found it very convenient to explore by car from here.

Glad to have returned we came back to Halamaling for rare in this day solitude and peace and quiet. Liz‘s place has this in abundance spotlessly clean. Recommended. Ian & Julie

This was our second time here and we had a great stay. The house is cosy and is very well equipped. The garden space is beautiful and the animals are a delight. Patrick is very welcoming and helpful. We had some lovely walks down to the lakes. Would highly recommend and we will return again.

We had a fantastic stay. The house was great for our family and dog and the hot tub was a huge hit all round. The cinema room was great to relax in and the house was well stocked. Sophie was extremely helpful with a late check out which was much appreciated and our Grandson loved grooming the horses. We are looking to book again for later in the year. Fabulous Easter break.
