Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Derwent Valley Council

The Poet's Ode was the perfect base for exploring Hobart and surrounds. It was a wonderful retreat to relax and unwind after days out exploring. Sophie and Ewan were excellent hosts and it was clear that they have put a lot of effort into creating not just a comfortable place to stay but an insightful creative experience. Our other regret is not staying longer!

Our stay at Acacia, Riversong was absolutely magical. Casey is a wonderful and thoughtful host, the personal touches to the space were such a nice surprise. Falling asleep listening to the river and waking up to birdsong was so relaxing. We loved our time in this little haven, it was very hard to leave. Casey provided so many local suggestions, we were spoiled for choice ! Cannot thank you enough for sharing Riversong with us 🏕

This house was very spacious, very warm and with stunning views front and back. Contact with Nicole and Angela was excellent. As well as being a very comfortable house the location provided a great base for many day trips in the beautiful surrounding areas.

Clean, well equipped and homely. Well suited for mounrain bikers with lockable storage and tools. Would definitely stay again. Great having an outer laundry and toilet area...or a "wet" room.

These pods are really fantastic - actually far exceeded my expectations. The pods are by the river, were immaculately clean and beautifully presented plus they stayed very warm without needing heaters even when it was pretty cold outside. Location was right next to the national park so easier to head straight in. The bathroom block was very well maintained but I think they could benefit from doormats as they got pretty muddy when it was raining which them feel unclean even though the toilet, sink and shower were actually very clean. A bit more path lighting between the pods and the bathroom block would be good. Definitely recommend.

We had a lovely stay at Orchard’s nest for my partner’s 40th. It was really relaxing, beautifully furnished, the bed and linen were so comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. Absolutely recommend for a place to relax and reset.

A cosy comfortable retreat with breathtaking views, lovely decor, great beds and lots of thoughtful additions to ensure a relaxing peaceful stay. Perfect location from which to explore the Huon Valley, Bruny Island, the southern reaches of Tasmania in easy day trips and wonderful local dining. Very helpful hosts, well organised, always felt we could reach out with any issues. Highly recommended! Would stay again in a heartbeat 💗

From the moment we arrived we were in awe of the space created by Michelle and Blu x The attention to detail is evident from the beautiful decor to the generous provisions - they have literally thought of everything- ensuring a comfortable experience. Michelle and Blu were the perfect hosts and their love of this property is evident in its presentation - thankfully they are happy to share it with us all 😍 Extremely comfortable beds; linens to die for and squeaky clean 🧼 This is the ONLY air BnB I didn’t feel like I had to wash dishes and utensils in before using!!! Thank you so much for sharing a space around your fireplace 🔥 and creating a memorable experience for us all - including our pet Daisy Doo. This is our new favourite place and top of the list for future visits to the Huon x. Michelle and Blu are truly amazing people and you will not be disappointed- unless you miss out !!!! Exceeded my expectations in every manner. Wonderful cottage with so much character and with plenty to experience. Had absolutely everything you could ever need. I baked an apple and raspberry 🍎 pie for my family with berries from the garden and Huron Valley apples.
