Vacation rentals with breakfast in Derwent Valley Council

Great little place to stay. Very cosy. The breakfast provisions were a lovely bonus. Teens loved the outdoor bath. Good selection of Tassie books. I read some of the comments before booking, and I do agree with one commenter who said the cabin was a little close to the host farmhouse, however I can see the hosts have put in screens and trees to add privacy, and the place is angled toward the view and not the farmhouse. Also the hosts were nice and didn't get in our space at all anyway. This place had heaps of quality furnishings and fittings - comfy beds, nice crockery, coffee, bath products etc. All very nicely done.

Wow - this place is peak cozy cabin!! we absolutely loved staying at Poet's Ode and will definitely return. From the moment you get inside you can see all the love that has been put into this place, the little details and the care are just what we would love for all Airbnbs to have. Fresh warm bread in the morning, wine, popcorn for movies, books to browse - this place is a gem. The hosts house is next to the cabin but don't let the deter you, this cabin is super private and there's so much to see.

Our stay at Acacia, Riversong was absolutely magical. Casey is a wonderful and thoughtful host, the personal touches to the space were such a nice surprise. Falling asleep listening to the river and waking up to birdsong was so relaxing. We loved our time in this little haven, it was very hard to leave. Casey provided so many local suggestions, we were spoiled for choice ! Cannot thank you enough for sharing Riversong with us 🏕

Christiane and her husband were very hospitable and friendly. We felt very welcomed and felt blessed to share their beautiful space. Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a wonderful and peaceful experience.

Thank you Pat & family for a wonderful stay at your beautiful cottage. We really appreciate your thoughtfulness & care, especially the wonderful Easter treats, homemade bread, fresh eggs, bacon, milk & juice. The cottage was so welcoming and warm, the perfect location to explore the Huon Valley. The autumn colours were spectacular in the orchard & garden!

If I could rate this place higher I would. The cabin is and surrounds are beautiful, it was so relaxing. Kristy has done an amazing job in styling and setting up the cabin, I didn't want to leave

Had an amazing stay here. Beautiful, clean, modern and felt right at home. Sue was flexible with check in time which made our stay more enjoyable. Fresh eggs when we arrived, and fresh warm bread left for us in the morning, incredible. Plus very close to Mount Field National Park. I have paid more, for much less, in worse locations. Worth every cent!!

Pip’s place was absolutely beautiful. A scenic, peaceful and cosy space where we stayed. We would’ve loved to have stayed another night. Pip was very hospitable and the place was just gorgeous.
