Dongchonjae is located in Seochon Village, close to Gwanghwamun Square and Gyeongbokgung Palace, the center of Seoul. Built about 100 years ago, Dongchonjae is a traditional Hanok officially certified by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Korea Tourism Organization. Dongchonjae has been operated since October 2020 by a retired couple who opened their home. Dongchonjae is on a 380.17m² plot of land It consists of one building, and the space is divided into the main building (Anche/Main House), Sarangchae/Detached House, and Annex. Guests have exclusive use of the main house and the annex. The host lives in the detached house, and will personally assist you with necessary services such as providing breakfast. I hope you can comfortably feel the tranquil beauty and subtle atmosphere of a traditional hanok at Dongchonjae. Mongyu (夢遊), which I visited, is a 100-year-old hanok that reminds me of my childhood home, a house with a pine frame and red clay walls. We created Dream Play as a wellness space in Seochon. Wellness means 'self-actualization by designing a wonderful life based on physical, mental, environmental, and social health'. If the process of being dedicated to something and discovering the value of life is also full of vitality, it can be called wellness. At Mongyu, the walls behind the flower beds with green trees and the gate pillars were made white with white clay, creating a 'space of sacred light' that receives sunlight during the day and, with lighting, shines brightly at night, allowing you to feel a clear energy. Welcome to Mokkaji, an urban lounge! Mokkaji is a hanok guest house located in a residential area in Jongno Hyehwa-dong, the heart of Seoul. It is located in Hyehwa-dong, where there are plenty of things to do, see, and eat. It is a 100-year-old hanok guest house designated as a tourist convenience facility in Seoul, and has been in business for four generations. The host couple lives nearby, completely separated from the space used by guests, and provides breakfast. It is a quiet and cozy resting place, each room has a bathroom, a cafe-style veranda, a 10-minute walk from Hyehwa Station, and a parking space for 2 cars. It is 20 minutes away by public transportation, including Dongdaemun, Namdaemun, Gwangjang Market, Myeongdong Shopping, Changgyeonggung Palace, Gyeongbokgung Palace, Insa-dong, Blue House, and Namsan Tour.

We have spacious Garden with lovely pine trees and seasonal flowers. You can feel healing and relax with our lovely calm garden. We have also small farm growing ingredient fruits. you can pick & enjoy eating for breakfast in summer season. You can take a walk along the riverside path near our house and enjoy water skiing and paragliding. Public transportation is also available. It's a 10 - minute walk from Asin Station on the Gyeongui-Jungang Line. Pick-up from Asin Station is also available.
