We had a great time with the family at Adi's house. The house is very spacious, and the beds comfortable. An extra double bed, which was not on the listing, is in an open room upstairs, so we were able to sleep 5 people without a problem, without using the ground floor living room as a bedroom. Adi's parents, who live in the neighboring house, are very welcoming and speak French: what a nice surprise, even though we had tried to learn a few words in Romanian! This made the exchanges all the easier and more rewarding. The house is well located for visiting Maramureș (Săpânța, Sighetu Marmatiei, Bârsana, Breb, Borșa, etc.).

Great! Elena is Diana's mother. She's incredibly friendly and accommodating. She takes care of everything, had great tips for the area. The house is excellently located for excursions by bike, hiking boots or car. A huge site with fruit and nut trees. When we were there, everything started to bloom. A dream! The house itself is also huge and more like 2 houses. One part has a separate entrance, which can be very convenient for 2 families, for example. Elena also cooked us a traditional Romanian evening with her other daughter. That's what you should definitely do. There is a small market in the village on Saturdays. Unfortunately, there is no food there, but the whole place meets... a wild confusion. Elena also has a mini-market where you can get everything. There is a very large market with food in Bistrita. There, too, everyone is relaxed and friendly. Thanks again for the lovely stay

Wow, just wow!!! Staying at Cosy Barn was just the retreat we were after. Maria has created two beautiful homes in traditional style, but finished to modern standards. (The kitchen had everything we needed, including a moka coffee maker! And the shower was wonderful!) The gardens are an idyllic respite from the world, peaceful and beautiful. We loved relaxing in the sunshine, with only birdsong and tractors as our soundtrack. Our children (8/10) were in seventh heaven on the trampoline and playing with Maria’s cats, dogs and pony. Maria was the most wonderful host - warm, kind and helpful. She made us feel very welcome and went out of her way to help us get the most out of our stay. Thank you! NB. We travelled in mid-April, out of season. Breb was beautifully quiet and free of tourists. But this also meant there was only one restaurant open in the village.

If you're looking for a serene mountain getaway, this cabin is absolutely perfect! The location is stunning, surrounded by breathtaking views and peaceful nature. The cabin itself was clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. What truly made our experience unforgettable, though, were the incredible hosts. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, even surprising us with delicious homemade donuts and palinca! Also it was nice that the check-in and checkout was flexible. An incredible place, with an incredible host. We were greeted with food platters and drinks on the house, and Ovi quickly accomodated requests for extra bed sheets. The location has an amazing view to the lake and the surroundings. The rooms are modern and beautiful and the kitchen is super well equipped. The jacuzzi works brilliant, and the fire place up the hill is an excellent way to end the days at the lake around the fire. Highly recommend this, will definitely try to come back!

One of the highlights of my stay was the exceptional hospitality. The hosts were incredibly friendly and attentive.

A real find… a special guesthouse off the beaten track, great for our family trip in Maramures! Nice rooms, beautiful views of the mountains from the terrace and delicious home cooked food. We love walking - it was ideal for hiking and we enjoyed visiting the Unesco wooden nearby. Thank you Sylvia for a lovely stay!
