Vacation rentals in De Kalb

As traveling tournament bass fishing anglers, we are always looking for clean, comfortable and well appointed accommodations that will also easily allow us to park four to six trucks with boat trailers. Wendy’s “barndominium” fit the bill perfectly! The heated and cooled living quarters were comfortable, clean and fully accommodated our needs. In the large garage potion of the house, the pool table, foosball table and corn hole set kept us busy in the evenings. There is even a nice TV lounge area in the garage! The pool and pool area are also very nice. And of course, there was plenty of parking. If we ever travel back to Texarkana, this AirBnB would be at the top of our list and I highly recommend it to anyone traveling with four or more people. Robert J.

I had a great stay! The place was very clean, welcoming, and exactly as described. It is a bit far from town, and depending on your phone, GPS may lead you to a different location. However, Michael provided clear instructions and the correct address, which made finding it much easier. I also really appreciated how simple the checkout process was—no long list of tasks, just an easy and stress-free departure. Overall, a wonderful experience!

Our teams stayed while playing in the regional golf tournament. They had so much fun fishing and relaxing in between rounds! We grilled burgers and enjoyed the peace and quiet.

Kirk’s place is exactly as described. We went during a cold snap and it was very comfortable. The fireplace made it very inviting. The host is very responsive, even before booking. It is good to note that the home is also good if you have any wheelchair guests with you. The kitchen is also very well equipped, we had everything we needed. The view of the lake is peaceful. Perfect for birdwatching during the day and stargazing at night. I can imagine it would be beautiful during spring and summer.

The cottages behind the Glove Factory were easy to find, very clean, and an overall great place to stay! We will be back for sure if we attend another event in the area or just because it was such a great place to stay!

We visited Lake Bob Sandlin in mid March and needed an extra space for the rest of our party to stay while visiting friends nearby. Ronnie's place was perfect - a quiet, peaceful location with modern and new furnishings and bedding that were comfortable and very clean. The place has fast wifi and is stocked with toiletries, coffee, tea, water, dish soap, and laundry detergent. We appreciated the environmentally friendly brands of many of the soaps, the quality washer and dryer, and a clean two car garage. Bonus points for the record player and classic vinyl! The property is set on a large piece of land set apart in a gated community not too far from the lake. Ronnie was a great host and responsive anytime we had any questions. We would definitely recommend Ronnie's place for anyone looking for a peaceful and pristine place to retreat!
