Vacation rentals with lake access in Darling Downs

We had a family group stay at the property. There was plenty of space for 7 adults and 2 young children. Dining areas were great. Beautiful views and access to the river. Walking distance to restaurants and shops. Plenty of off street secure parking. Hosts were very responsive and immediately rectified a small issue when we arrived.

We absolutely loved this place. It was a special weekend celebration with friends ands the house worked so well. Each bedroom had an ensuite so no sharing and lots of privacy. The canal was great for kayaking, fire fishing and for afternoon drinks on the lawn watching the sunset. The kitchen was also so practical. Loved it all.

Loved our stay. Thoughtfully renovated. So central. Clean. And the linen and beds luxurious.

A beautiful place! Perfect for our extended family of 11 with large open spaces and great kitchen and outdoor area to prepare meals and relax. The property was clean, easy to check into and had everything we needed. Great location by the canal, everyone loved the rides in kayaks around sunset. It was easy to visit Noosa and surroundings from the house. We would stay again!

Quiet location Very clean open plan home Beautifully large space in main bedroom incl air con was a godsend! Ample supplies in kitchen and shaded area out the back during the morning and half the afternoon. Close to everything we required! Fishing spots, boat club and loved to see an air bnb with recycling tubs and a compost barrel ( we took advantage of that to minimise landfill) I was very impressed to see no carpet throughout the property and the linen was not white! That’s something I think Gary got spot on! No white linen - I don’t like it as it may look lovely initially but find its too clinical looking in a guest home. We felt Gary and future users of air BnB property would benefit using and maintaining compost barrel and in turn keeping Gary’s herb garden well fed- All the foundations are there and what a great way to utilise an entire home and use herbs from his garden in turn providing green waste to feed them and Gary also having passive maintenance.

Cate's place was marvellous. Spacious, sparkling clean and everything we needed for our short stay. Will stay again if we are back this way.

We had a lovely stay here. It accommodated our two families with 6 adults and 6 teenagers with lots of room and space for everyone to feel like they weren’t on top of each other. Kids loved the media room and the pool. We loved sitting and watching the water - and even saw a dolphin in the canal on our last morning. We highly rate the property and would stay here again!

What a truly magical place for a late summer getaway. Our group of four spent much of our stay lounging on the spacious patio, overlooking the river - the perfect spot to watch the sun rise and set. The decor and furnishings create a dreamy and restful space. The apartment is incredibly well equipped and Rita has thoughtfully included things to make for an extra special stay - like yoga mats, delicates laundry wash bag, steamer, toiletries, Prosecco and chocolates. Whilst we didn’t need to call on our host during our stay, the pre arrival communication was very proactive and helpful. We hope to be back sometime soon.

We had a wonderful stay at Sam’s place, the location is just awesome right across from the water. The space is very homely and comfortable with everything you need and Sam is a great host. Very friendly and accommodating. Would stay again.

It was such a great feeling to walk into beautiful clean accommodation after staying at a questionable resort The beds were comfortable and the premises spotless, everything you need for your stay is provided We always had parking, the amenities were great, all well maintained The location for us was gorgeous and enjoyable as we could walk to Noosaville or go via the waterways We have no issue in recommending a stay at the resort with Paul and Kimberly

Lexi's place at Twin Waters was the perfect place and location for our getaway for a few days of rest. Clear instructions meant check in was a breeze with parking onsite. A beautiful ground floor apartment with comfortable beds, soft fluffy towels, great working showers and aircon. The streamed services for the TV were great for relaxing in the evenings. Ideal spot to see the sunset. The lake setting is tranquil and great to walk around. The landscaped grounds are well established and very well maintained, we saw many kangaroos. There are kayaks available and other activities for kids. The nearby Novotel facilities are an added bonus with pool and restaurant onsite. We tried the buffet breakfast which was very good. The beach is a very short walking distance away. It was patrolled and virtually empty when we visited and stretches for miles. Plenty of choices for restaurants and other activities within a short drive, too. I would happily recommend this listing to everyone!

Gwenda was a beautiful host, very kind and helpful/contactable at all stages. Made my mums surprise weekend away a special one! The stay was gorgeous with amazing views, so many animals to see and peaceful as anything. Would come back in a heartbeat! The only thing I will mention is in summer, there is no aircon, so you have to be okay with the fans and heat but there is a lovely breeze that blows through the house all day long! Thanks Gwenda for being such an amazing host!

We had a wonderful stay! Comfortable and relaxing home for the 7 of us. Awesome big yard, pool and things to do for the kids. Kids loved exploring private pools and also massage pool which was very close by. Will definitely stay here again

Beautiful spot, not far from the city but away from it all. Feels more remote than it is. Space for alot of people. So many activities or just lay about the pool.

The place was so beautiful. David was so kind and welcoming. The house was maintained so well along with the beautiful green areas. The wildlife was perfect for lounging under the sun outdoor. Overall we had a great experience with great weather, food and stay. David was so friendly and informative about the area and what we could do around. We will definitely be visiting for a reset again. Truly lived up to the name. Felt right at home and so comfortable.

Very clean and well stocked self-maintained cottage. Totally beyond our expectations. Thanks Jacqui for the generous supply, we had a really nice brekky, particularly loved the butter, so smooth and tasty. At night you can see stars even the Milky Way, which is why we love farm stay. Great air condition to keep the cottage always comfy. The smart TV which allows guests to watch Netflix and YouTube is also much appreciated! Oh and the BBQ grill is so handy to cook meals with. Overall we’re grateful to have stayed at Jacqui l’s cottage.

A unique and beautiful location lovingly created by host Rosemary and Richard. Spectacular outlook onto the lake and green surroundings. Lovely walks around the property to enjoy. Friendly and caring host. Leave your troubles at the door and enjoy the sounds and interactions with wildlife.

We had a fantastic time with our kids (ages 9 and 6) and 2-year-old Wolfhound mix! The cottage was easy to find and well-signed. Communication with Judy and Gina was great! The kids were delighted by the cattle and sheep that greeted us on our drive into the property. This is a real farm experience with animals right outside the door. The cabin is beautiful, cosy, and clean, with all the modern amenities you need. Just bring a few meals to cook for your stay. Gina was so friendly and informative as she showed us around! We kept our dog on a leash around the cabin as she was a little too interested in the ducks, but there are plenty of areas where she was able to run and play off leash where she wasn't disturbing the farm animals. The kids loved feeding the farm animals, including feeding the cows, ducks, and sheep by hand. They also loved kayaking (kayaks, paddles, and life jackets all available). Plenty to do and perfect for kids and dogs! We will definitely be back!
