Magnificent right by the sea - with the city close

Very cool place to stay close to stockholm to experience the quite "postcard sweden" but at the same time you can get to the centre of stockholm in about 30 minutes. We used the row boats all the time - very quick, independent and natural way to get to the island. The cabin is cozy, clean and has all the essentials you need. It was a super relaxing stay and we really enjoyed it.

Cozy accommodation with good connection into the city via boat ferry. Secluded guest house/sauna with great views and a comfortable double bed. Maria went out of her way to make us feel comfortable, available and accommodating. A place we already can't wait to go back.

We spent a lovely week at Johanna‘s Tiny House. The seaside view from the deck in front of the house invited to outdoor meals. The kitchen included all the necessities. A bonus was the bathroom, which is very modern and quite spacious for the size of the home. You should be aware that the sleeping loft is fairly low-ceilinged, so you can‘t sit upright. Taking the ferry to the city was fun and easy but staying on the charming island is a pleasure in itself.

I had a wonderful time at this place and Charlotte is so gentle and nice. If you look for a place where you can enjoy your privacy and if you like to have it calm then this cabin is perfect. The connection to Stockholm city is very easy. This makes it perfect combining sightseeing with relaxing.

Spacious archipelago century dream 15 min from City!

Centrally located on Stockholm's nearest archipelago island! Gather family, family, or friends in our spacious house with generous living spaces both indoors and outdoors. Within the glass veranda there is a large kitchen for communal cooking around the kitchen island in front of the fireplace, space for 12 people around the kitchen table, with lovely sea views. Outside the kitchen and living room stretches decks to catch morning and afternoon/evening sun as well as sea views. In the garden there is a pool and many places to enjoy. 7-10 beds.

Wonderful guesthouse with sea view on Tranholmen

Enjoy the best of two worlds - stay in your own lovely little house by the sea on Stockholm's closest archipelago island, Tranholmen, only 20 min away from the city center. Everyone loves our wonderful and charming guesthouse as well as the tranquil surroundings. You get to Tranholmen by ferry from Ropsten, that is only 5 min by metro from the city. The ferry takes 10 min and there are departures in both directions every 1-2 hours from early morning to late evening.

I had the pleasure of staying with John for 3 months. I had a wonderful summer in Stocksund: John is a very accommodating host who quickly made you feel at home. The accommodation itself is in a great location, with bus and train right around the corner and even a swimming spot just a few hundred meters from the apartment. In short: Thank you so much for a great stay. I'd love to come back, and I highly recommend it to others! :)

Johanna has a fantastic house right on the water. Tranquil and beautiful. There is a lovely sitting room looking out over the water. It was my favorite place to hang out. The commuter boat ride from Ropsten to Tranholmen is short and relaxing. Johanna is very nice and accommodating and replies very promptly. On a nice day, I recommend that you even take the commuter boat further to Storholmen Södra, get off and walk to Storholmen Norra, and pick the same boat up there as it comes around.

Johannas tiny house and the location are just perfect! The house is located directly by the sea and tastefully equipped. The kitchen is also well equipped - we did not cook, but if you would like to, you'll find really everything you need. For two persons there is enough space in the house if weather should not permit to sit outside. Even then the house permits sea view :-). And we loved the loft :-)!!! We stayed in Johannas place during a business trip and really enjoyed coming "home" back to the island after working days in the city center. Anyhow the place is well connected in terms of public transport by commuter ferry and trains/subway. We enjoyed using a pool boat when regular transport was not available according to our schedule. Johanna provided very detailed information about transportation and activities around the place. Communication with Johanna was always very helpful and friendly :-). We really loved our stay and can absolutely recommend the place and Johanna as host.

Unique oasis, irresistible sea view over Stockholm

Johanna’s place on Tranholmen is so peaceful and quiet. It’s a place to relax and unwind....which we did. Getting to/from the island off the regular ferry schedule can present some logistical challenges but Johanna did a great job of arranging this transport for us after our long journey from the US west coast. Once you understand it, access to Stockholm is fairly simple either via the ferry or private boat and makes this a great location if you do not want to stay in the city. We would recommend Johanna’s main house, or either of the two guest houses, to anyone.

We had a wonderful stay at this villa on the beautiful island of Tranholmen. The space itself was perfect for 6 adults with lots of outdoor and BBQ space. We especially enjoyed the private water access for swimming. Communication from the Maria was always very fast and helpful. Would 100% recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing break!
