Vacation rentals with breakfast in Cumberland County

Beautiful area within easy driving distances we visited Ft Williams/Portland Head Lighthouse, Two Lights State Park (see park website for construction closures), Kennebunkport, & Old Orchard Beach during our 3 day stay. We liked the close by restaurant Pine Point Grill (get there at opening, it’s a small place and seemed to be a draw). People & service were enjoyable. Clambake restaurant close to Pine Point Beach is a huge place that we were told during busy months has music outside. Was not a fan of the food, but dining views of the marsh area were expansive. Old Orchard was like a step back in time. We were there just before the season kicked into gear so we enjoyed a slower pace with less congestion. Renee has equipped the space nicely. Comfy bed and enough space for two people to move around each other especially because of the outdoor space. Parking right at the walkway super convenient as was the circular driveway. Easy 8ish miles to the Jetport ended our stay nicely. Thx Renee

Can’t say enough about the location and for every bedroom to have an ocean view is spectacular. Even packing up to go, while enjoying the view, was not laborious. Will definitely want to return. Kitchen was well-stocked. Gino was a great at communicating.

Absolutely lovely! A very unique space with the perfect balance of quirky retro cottage meets family lake house. We loved spending time outside whether it was on the dock and in the lake or relaxing on the screened in balcony upstairs! Would absolutely do it again!

I had a great stay at the Doll’s House! Perfect location close to the walk around Back Cove, close to all downtown Portland had to offer… but in a quiet neighborhood that felt very safe. Neighbor was out gardening most mornings. Great coffee in the morning, well equipped kitchen and comfortable house all the way around. Bed & bedroom were great & cute backyard. Pamela was easily reachable and responded to any and all of my questions. Thank you for a great stay!

Had a wonderful time at Daniel’s Airbnb! We were greeted with a warm reception and delicious apple cake with delicious sweet tea! I can’t say enough good things about Daniel and his beautiful home. We felt right at home. He gave us great recommendations for restaurants and things to do in the area. Our accommodations were very comfortable. Best part was the delicious breakfast with coffee and tea and scrumptious omelette with homemade hash browns! I wanted the recipe! I highly recommend Daniel’s place, it made our vacation a little more special! PS: Reds Eats in Wiscasset Maine was the best ( Paul Newman and Robert Redford ate there too) Thanks for the recommendation!!

Dr. Jerr is a very kind and generous host - he provided us with fresh coffee and breakfast snacks each morning during our stay. We loved the location on Cape Elizabeth, close to Portland, and to many beautiful coastal and woodland trail walks. We came home laden with fish, flash frozen from the fish markets in Portland - thank you Dr. Jerr for your recommendation. We would wholeheartedly recommend staying with Dr. Jerr for exploring the stunning Maine coast and hope to find ourselves back on Cape Elizabeth again next year. Tom & Gillian Hamilton

Jen was an amazing host! She was quick to respond and always friendly when we had a question for her. She gave us plenty of local recommendations and made sure we had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. Her house less than a 10 minute drive from the OOB Pier but it’s in a peaceful, quieter part of town. The house is spotless and fully stocked from towels to kitchen utensils to beach equipment that you can use for your stay! We HIGHLY recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is what an airbnb should be. We’ve rented many bnbs over the years and Christine’s place felt like home. The surroundings are beautiful, and the house is charming, exceptionally clean and welcoming. Yarmouth is a great town as well, just a stones throw from Portland and the coast. We really couldn’t have asked for a better host or place to stay to enjoy the beauty of Maine :)

Very comfortable apartment in a quiet neighborhood in the west end. Walkable to everything. The beverages and snacks were a nice touch. Kimberly was very responsive to my one request.

Thoughtfully designed and appointed place - has all the things you need and Marcia makes it very easy to get in and check out. Easy to get to Lewiston, Brunswick, Portland and everywhere in between!

Wanting to go camping without all the work?! Definitely check this place out, well worth the stay and felt like we were glamping in the middle of nowhere!

Kimberly 's place was perfect for a solo female traveler visiting Portland for the first time. The location was quiet and a short walk to downtown/Old Port. I never felt unsafe walking around the neighborhood. The bed was very comfortable. The snacks and toiletries were also very appreciated. I would happily stay here again on my next visit to Portland!

We had a great time at Joan’s cozy condo! She made freshly baked goodies upon our arrival, it was delicious! 2 min away from the beach! The location can’t be beat. The only downside was the train, very close to the house, that passes roughly every three hours during week days. If you don’t mind the nose, the place is perfect for a small family, friends and couples. It had different board games, beach toys for kids, foldable beach chairs etc. Overall great place! We enjoyed staying here as we explored the city and found a permanent apartment to rent. We were very comfy!

The grounds are beautiful and the inn is very clean and charming. Jill is so friendly and quickly responded to the messages I sent. My husband and I had a quick visit but enjoyed a delicious homemade breakfast (French toast casserole, ham and egg bake) before we left! I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Christine was gracious and kind by giving me time to myself when I needed it and being helpful and accommodating at other times. She very kindly provided breakfast in the morning and good advice on taking a more scenic and enjoyable path to my next destination. My dog was treated very well. The bedroom was very comfortable and I would gladly stay there again. Thank you!

This is the second time I've stayed with Marsha and Steve and I never wanted to leave! Their home is beautiful and welcoming, as is the island. Can't wait to come back :)

What more can we say - wonderful experience and wonderful hosts! We greatly enjoyed staying with Gretchen and Keith and found them to be great people - friendly, accommodating and welcoming. The room was as pictured and described, in a great location, the breakfast by ‘Chef Keith’ was delightful. If you’re considering staying here, do it. We’ll be back!!

We only stayed for one night but had such a good night's sleep! Peter and Karen were the perfect hosts. Responsive when we asked questions and were very accomodating! We particularly enjoyed the warm, bathroom floors and the spruced up studio. 10/10 would recommend to other travelers :)

We were very happy with our stay. As noted, Valerie was friendly, informative, and helpful. Our room was clean and the breakfast was delicious. We would definitely stay there again if we were in the area.

When I think of a cozy New England Inn, a place like the Candlebay Inn would fit my vision to a "T." We even had a dusting of snow that just enhanced the fairyland experience. The room we had for the night in the charming inn was very clean and comfortable. My wife was totally smitten with the lobster towel art piece on the bed, what a neat accent. I spent a few hours reading in the enjoyable atmosphere of this lovely house. To top it all off we were literally steps away from a sportsman's paradise. None of this would have been possible without the fantastic attention Connie provided, well maybe she didn't have anything to do with the snow. We hope to return real soon.
