The Lewisburg Lodge-Voted Coolest small town in US

JerriRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We stayed at Alex's beautiful restored two story log cabin when in my hometown for a family reunion. The location in Lewisburg was perfect for our needs. The home was spotless and full of character. We appreciated the well-appointed kitchen because we had to make a dish to bring to the reunion while there. It is walkable to Food and Friends, Hill and Holler, Cafe Del Sol, and other shops, etc. The screened in porch was cozy. We would definitely stay again on a return trip.

All I can say is WOW! my wife and I just got home from spending the weekend here for her birthday. This place was everything you could want in a home away from home. Andrea literally thought of everything. its no wonder this dome carries a 5 star review. its gorgeous, peaceful, fully stocked with anything you could want or need and is presented exactly as described. we spent 2 days exploring local sites and when we came back to the dome we looked forward to a relaxing evening in the hot tub and listening to the nature. it rained last evening and in the middle of the night you could hear the rain on the dome roof. it was so incredibly relaxing and cozy. we will definitely be back. we ran into Andrea one time during our stay and she was so helpful and kind. you won't be disappointed if you choose this place!

Yurts on Potts Creek

KarenRating, 5 stars5 days ago
Some places you stay—others stay with you. This yurt was one of those places. Perfectly curated, thoughtfully built, and full of charm, it wrapped us in calm the moment we arrived. Every detail was intentional, from the cozy furnishings to the salvaged and repurposed treasures used to create the space. You can feel the heart in every corner. Wes & Susan were absolutely incredible—welcoming us (and our dogs!) like old friends. They shared local tips, fishing advice and gear, and genuine kindness that made our stay unforgettable. We also left with tons of ideas for our own waterfront property because we were so enamored and impressed with the yurt and surroundings. The mini hiking trail right on property is perfection and we caught some trout! We visited the Paint Bank store, ate at the restaurant which was delicious, visited the fish hatchery and also visited the Sweet Springs area. We came for a peaceful escape and left with full hearts. We’re obsessed!! We will be back!!

Forest Glamping, Blackberry Blossom-2 of 3

SusanRating, 5 stars3 days ago
Absolutely beautiful! My tween daughter and I spent 2 nights here while we explored the New River Gorge. We found it to be clean, quiet, comfortable and private. It’s located close to all the outdoorsy activities, so there were plenty of things to do. The tent itself was immaculate and every detail possible was thought of by the host. Pour over coffee, mini fridge, A/C, heating, a small tote to carry your things, etc. We cooked most of our meals outside on the provided camp stove, but there’s also a grill and picnic tables. We felt very welcome and would stay here again. It’s the best I’ve ever slept “camping,” but this experience was seriously so much nicer than camping. Bathrooms and showers were spotless. Highly recommend this gem.

3Bears Overlook

Cheryl’s place is in a beautiful setting in the hills of West Virginia. It is private and peaceful. My husband and I loved the tucked away location. It is near a historic town, state parks and the southern end of New River Gorge National Park in the Sandstone area. She was the most hospitable, attentive host I think I’ve ever had in spite of having fantastic past experiences with other hosts. She went out of her way to provide us with a welcoming feeling, leaving us farm fresh eggs as an example among others. Her attention to detail was exceptional. Her communication was fantastic. We could tell she really cared for us and wanted to create a wonderful stay. Her place was very clean and she left items for breakfast that aren’t usually provided. She respected our privacy, but in our communications we felt like a part of the family.

Luxurious 3-bedroom Home on the New River

MichaelRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
If I had to describe this Airbnb, I’d call it one of the more thoughtful I’ve ever stayed in - both in being well-considered, and being genuinely comforting. From cookies for myself and my party, and Andes mints on the beds, to USB flashlight bars by the couch and fire-starting supplies, the little touches added up. The kitchen was stocked with what many places overlook: oil, Pam, sharp knives, and even Tupperware. There were more than enough towels and pillows, there were bedside tables with outlets on top, and full-length mirrors. The stairs down to the fire pit were lit, which made evenings by the water feel easy and welcoming. The three season room was wonderful, as well, for those of us who attract some bugs, but enjoy the sound of the nearby rapids, and wind. The home was spotless, peaceful, and perfectly located for a visit to the nearby National Park (New River Gorge). The host was also very responsive - when we had a question about the dishwasher, they replied within minutes!
