Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Cranston

The Mermaid Cottage is located on a quiet property away from high traffic roads. It’s about 5 minutes from the main part of Westport, and less than 15 minutes to Horseneck Beach. What I enjoy about the cottage is it is peaceful, and has everything we need for an enjoyable visit. Thank you Steve!!!!

We spent a wonderful weekend at Rachel's home. The house is beautiful, clean, spacious and well stocked. The neighborhood was quiet and lovely. Many restaurants, beach, shopping and sites a short ride away. Rachel was responsive and welcoming. Highly recommend this house and area, just beautiful! We hope to visit again soon.

The house was perfect to stay at for a wedding weekend. Close enough to walk to second beach for those that don’t mind a short walk on a busy road. The house had everything we needed and more and was extremely spacious and private.

The house was exactly how I imagined it. A very relaxed beautiful setting with birds chirping and right near the water. The home was gorgeous and Leigh Anne was great with communicating and all the lovely touches that she did that went above and beyond. I was unwell and she dropped off tissues and specials teas etc to help and advised me on the best way to get to a Doctor. The place was amazing and a real oasis to relax and unwind on a very busy 5 week trip. We had 3 night here and we wish we could of had more. Thanks for your wonderful hospitality.

The owner was friendly, helpful and responsive. The house was clean and attractive. The price was good.

Awesome stay! Aubrey is a great host. Easy to communicate with and responded to our questions right away. The house is lovely. The fenced yard was a plus as we had dogs with us that were showing in Warwick. The outdoor deck is great to enjoy your coffee, listen to the birds and just relax. The house was well stocked from kitchen to toiletries. Can’t say enough good things about our stay. We highly recommend this home. You’ll love it!

Great rental with awesome coastal decor in the quaint setting of historic downtown Bristol. House was exactly as presented, immaculate, and comfortable. Parking is an issue unless you have a compact car. Truly enjoyed our stay and definitely would recommend to others.

I hate to say too many great things since I kind of feel like I want to keep this a secret. This is our second time staying here. The location is awesome — spectacular views from any of the many windows in this contemporary style house. The beds are decent and there’s lots of beach stuff (chairs, towels, umbrella) plus kayaks w/life vests. Well equipped kitchen and good size dining room table. And did I mention the views?… of course I did, but it’s worth mentioning again! A great beach about a mile away. Dining choices are limited now because of the tragic fire at the Matunuck Oyster Bar a few nights before our arrival. Our host was kind enough to send us an email prior to our arrival to inform us of this sad event. We had reservations there for our first night at the house. Since we are pretty casual, the food at Captain Jack’s and Jim’s Dock is decent… but sure missed Matunuck Oyster Bar and our hearts go out to all the staff as the busy summer season was about to begin.

This place is fantastic for large parties. We were a bit disappointed to only find 4 actual bedrooms, but there were more than enough beds so we could make do. The location is awesome and the bar is very loud, but it was exactly what we needed for the weekend and had a great time.

Tom and Cindi were delightful hosts and thier property was immaculate! I especially liked that they didn't use heavily perfumed cleaners and the apartment smelled clean without a hint of chemicals, excellent for my allergies. It was a peaceful, quiet stay only steps away from the wonderful waterfront. If I return to this area I would definately return to Tom and Cindi's!

Location was perfect. Short walk to restaurants and nightlife, while still in a peaceful residential neighborhood. The room is spacious and homey.

Lynda is an absolute sweetheart! And the place is adorable and perfect for a little get away!

We had a great stay at bobs apartment. The unit was just as described. It has a large yard where we could let our toddler twins run around to burn energy. Bob was very responsive when we had a question. Instructions were clear and concise. He gave us a lot of grace when the little ones had middle of the night tantrums (we had a 24 hr drive so our routines were totally messed up). My only critique would be we really wish we had a broom to sweep up. Thanks again!

We had a great MDW at Paul’s apartment. It was in a perfect location — walkable to Thames St. but also in a quiet area near King Park with beautiful water views and a great playground for our little one. Ideal location to start 10 mile drive and easy access to the Breakers and other mansions. The apartment is clean and neat and the fireplace was cozy for cooler temperatures at night. Of note, there are only sheer curtains on the windows and apartment gets very bright when the sun rises early. Paul has sleep masks in the closet and you may very well need them if you don’t want to wake up at sunrise!

The apartment is very comfortable. The pictures are accurate. Beds comfortable. Plenty of very nice bath linens. I loved the types and amount of lighting in every room. Wonderful water pressure in the shower. The kitchen is very functional . I loved cooking on the beautiful big stove. We really appreciated having both a Keurig and a coffee maker. The one thing I would caution about is the stairs. They are as pictured. We had no problem with them, but people with knee issues might. I will certainly look for this property again when in the area.

Mathews unit was wonderfully located a quick walk to the main downtown area and conveniently located next to Nitro bar, a convenient store, and a handful of delicious restaurants. The unit was very clean upon arrival, stocked with toiletries, coffee, etc. Our stay was comfortable and well worth the price of our stay. We would definitely recommend staying at Matthew’s to anyone coming to explore Newport!
