Caragh Lake House

Soumya PrakashRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Our stay was nothing short of perfect. Tucked away in a breathtaking natural setting next to Caragh lake, this home is a true sanctuary for anyone looking to relax, recharge, and soak in the beauty of the outdoors. From the moment we arrived, we were taken aback by the peaceful atmosphere and stunning views. The house sits right on the edge of a tranquil lake, with crystal-clear water and lush greenery all around. The home itself is thoughtfully designed, spotlessly clean, and incredibly comfortable. Large windows throughout the house bring in tons of natural light and frame the lake beautifully, making every moment inside feel connected to nature. The interiors are warm, inviting, and perfectly balanced between rustic charm and modern comfort. Ettienne was super responsive, welcoming, and clearly passionate about sharing this little slice of paradise. Every detail, from the well-equipped kitchen to the cozy linens, was carefully considered to make our stay super comfortable. Thanks
Two colorful cups are placed on a wooden table, overlooking a scenic landscape of rolling hills and a distant body of water. Soft evening light enhances the serene atmosphere, with clear skies reflecting a warm hue.

Beautiful House Above Barleycove Beach

CelineRating, 5 stars17 months ago
We had a wonderfull time in Illian's house. The house was very cosy, very well equiped with an amazing view. We occupied all the beds and there was still a perfect amount of space for all all of us to feel confortable. It is also a very good location to exolore this part of West Cork, Mizen head (windy and impressive in winter !), Dunlough Castle, the very nice villages of Goleen and Schull, Crookhaven and all the beaches around starting by Barleycove of course ! We have spent an epic winter week, walking around all day, and coming back to a very nice wood fire at night. I would definetly recommand the experience ! The communication with Illian was very easy and he's always been very reactive and helfull !

Fergal’s house is beautifully designed , extremely comfortable and very well equipped . Even though we didn’t cook there it had absolutely everything you would need . The view was mesmerizing and it is perfectly set up for outdoor relaxation if the weather would cooperate. We wished we could have stayed longer . Truly outstanding house in a super location with the village 5 minutes walk and a little beach 2 minutes away .

Luxury Lakehouse, Cottage & Lakeshore Sauna

CourtneyRating, 5 stars4 days ago
We can’t wait to come back here! We’ve just returned from 4 nights staying in easily the nicest Airbnb we’ve ever booked; the photos don’t do this place justice. We’d initially planned to spend most of our time exploring the ring of Kerry but changed our plans to spend as much time at the house instead. The kayaks, sauna and use of the lake made for a really enjoyable weekend of family fun. Lorraine and Claire were fantastic hosts! We will be recommending this place to everyone!

Michael and his family were such lovely hosts. From the moment we walked in, they made us feel completely at home. They were always quick to respond and full of great tips for things to do, especially with the kids. Their place was beautiful and cozy—everything was just right. We’re so grateful for their kindness and would stay again in a heartbeat.

Heir Island House - Heir Island, West Cork

JenRating, 5 stars71 months ago
Craig and Claudia gave us and our dog a wonderful welcome to Heir island. Heir island is one of the few truly unspoiled spots in ireland and is well worth a visit and an explore. It's a short ferry ride from Cunnamore pier and once on the island the walk to Roaring Water Lodge is an easy 10-15 minute stroll. Despite there only being a handful of cars on the little island, there is always a car available to take bags and to offer a lift too if you don't fancy the walk, but we recommend the walk. Pizzas made to order in their outdoor fire are delicious and the breakfasts plentiful and delicious too. A lovely range of breads, fruits and cereals and the Full Irish available too. Clean comfortable rooms and powerful showers to wash down the salt from the fresh Atlantic dip! Friendly and relaxed rooms within the accommodation allows everyone to enjoy their own space or to mingle and share stories. Craig and Claudia are relaxed hosts working away in the background, always happy to chat and to provide extra tips and information on the local area. We highly recommend a stay in this fab little spot, especially if you need to bring your canine friend (provided they enjoy sea travel)! They will love Heir island too!

The furniture and all the little touches really create an atmosphere, we found we did not want to leave and just enjoyed watching the view and the boats on the water. The cottage is beautiful and warm and cosy. We went for a lot of walks in the area, its really beautiful there and a lot of nice places to visit. Vi kommer gjerne tilbake! :)

Barrow Lodge in County Kerry is a real gem, and it's all thanks to Clodagh and Niall! They were absolutely fantastic hosts. The Cottage at Lakefield

LotteRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We loved our stay at The Cottage at Lakefield and hope to return one day. Paul could not be more helpful or welcoming and was very quick to respond to any of our queries. The Cottage is very spacious for 2 people and have all you need and more. The beds are very comfortable, the kitchen is well appointed and the bathroom is nice and big with plenty of hot water. Paul had the entire cottage heated and ready for our arrival so we did not need to light the fireplace, ( even though we were keen to do so as sitting on soft sheepskins staring at the flames seemed an ideal way to spend an evening ). The gardens are spectacular and the the entire area is quiet and peaceful. We highly recommend staying in this charming cottage. Jerry and Lotte
