This is the “in the woods but still near town, new and modern with Lake Superior view” place. Built in 2020, the Loft overlooks Lake Superior (every window has a view). We had two families stay together and felt like there was plenty of space for everyone. It is a short drive (~5 mins) to/from Lutsen Mountain so was an ideal place for us to stay as an alternative to a ski in/ski out option. Nice big entryway for all our snow pants, jackets, ski boots, etc. The place is very well kept and clean. It was great having a bathroom on each level. There are lots of stairs - main kitchen is on 2nd level and main TV watching area is on 3rd level - so something to keep in mind. The house is located on a very quiet road. There were several deer that walked through the yard that we could watch from the windows which was pretty cool. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Book it!! Alex put thought into each and every inch of this beautiful and serene place. The kitchen was impressively stocked for cooking. The style and decor created a place to feel at home in luxury. We loved viewing the water from the bedroom loft and from the living room, as well as utilizing both indoor and outdoor fireplaces. Every detail is so nice. Also, the sauna had a huge picture window facing Lake Superior and felt like you were floating above it. Such a perfect spot for our digital detox weekend. We’ll be back! Oh, and the bed itself and linens (bedding and towels) were really comfortable. Highly, highly recommend!!

Our family of 5 really enjoyed staying at Sarah and Tommy's cabin. The layout was perfect and everything that was needed to cook meals was available. The gas fireplace put out some nice heat and it was very convenient to have the 2-car garage available to keep the car out of the snow. The beds were VERY comfortable, and the jetted tub was welcomed after a day of skiing. Highly recommend!

Staying at John and Kim’s cabin was an experience I will cherish forever. They have a beautiful property that is fully powered by solar with a serene atmosphere of deep woods and even a view of the Great Lake Superior. The cabin is perfect for those who want to be secluded in the woods and enjoy the comfort of a private cabin. The wood furnace works great for keeping you warm on cooler nights, although it takes a bit to warm the cabin up, it is very well insulated and keeps the warmth in even through the night. The cabin is full of the basic necessities to make your stay comfortable and you will not be disappointed in booking your very own oasis in the forest. Thank you John and Kim for the chance to experience this! I hope to stay here again in the future!

My husband and I had a wonderful time on the North Shore. The location was perfect and the views were spectacular. The cabin was very clean and just right for two people. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need to cook meals. We were very happy with our stay.
