Blacksmith's workshop

In ancient times, the house was a blacksmith's workshop with his small adjacent home. Recently renovated in a contemporary style, it has become a two-story residence of about 80 square meters. On the ground floor is the living area with the dining table, kitchen, bathroom and a wine pantry, reached by a wooden staircase with staggered steps. A second black iron staircase leads to the intermediate mezzanine where the study is organized. The balustrade becomes the worktop and overlooks the double height. On the first floor, there are two bedrooms with an en-suite bathroom. The floors are in resin-coated concrete and part with tiles in recycled cement paste; the upper floor is finished with parquet. Particularly unique are the vintage furnishings, the lighting of the rooms and the contemporary art paintings by a young Sicilian artist-designer. The house is equipped with winter and summer air conditioning, Wi-Fi, TV and dishwasher. A few kilometers away is the beach of Porto Palo (Blue Flag) with the possibility of boat trips, ultralight flights and bike rentals. Nearby, less than a 25-minute drive, you can play golf at the beautiful Golf Verdura Resort. The most important archaeological sites of Sicily are easily reachable: Selinunte (15 minutes), Cave di Cusa (25 minutes), Segesta (45 minutes), Eraclea Minoa (40 minutes) and Agrigento and "Scala dei Turchi" (50 minutes) To visit: the city of Sciacca, Sambuca di Sicilia (Borgo più bello d'Italia 2016), the Literary Park of Tomasi di Lampedusa in Santa Margherita (15 minutes), the "Cretto di Burri" in Gibellina (30 minutes), the Stagnone di Marsala (Mothia), the Saline and the city of Trapani, Erice (all about 60 minutes by car) The city is well connected to Palermo's Falcone Borsellino and Trapani Birgi airports, both within an hour's drive.

The apartment is spotless, the equipment is such that we could cook and feel really comfortable. The beds are really comfortable and everything is nicely modern and conveniently furnished. Valeria and her husband are very sweet and accommodating hosts who even took care of some things for us at our request so that we had breakfast on Easter Monday. The contact was friendly, quick and uncomplicated. We love the view of the sea and the sound of the sea. Very relaxing in the preseason and the village is rather inactive. Great beach. The fact that the terrace is in front of the house is not visible in the pictures. From there, many destinations for sightseeing and hiking are easily accessible. A little tip for navigating there: if you enter "Menfi, Via Cristoforo Colombo," you won't pass it.

Great place in a great location. It's a rustic apartment in the countryside. Not luxurious, but rustic-authentic. There is everything you need as a family and self-catering. The beach below the house is fantastically beautiful and within walking distance of a few minutes. The hosts were very nice, had helpful tips for us and were currently available. Gladly come again! "Villa Graziella" with pool in Porto Palo (AG)

Graziella's house is exceptional. It is located in a quiet neighborhood near the coast. It's easy to get to the sea and it's close to Selinunte. The house sits on a large property. In the front of the house is a beautifully landscaped driveway lined with a well trimmed hedge and local trees and includes a parking area under a pergola, large enough for 3 or 4 cars. Behind the house is a well maintained garden and pool which also includes an outside dining area, outdoor shower, outdoor kitchen. The back of the property is an orchard with native Sicilian tress (olive trees, citrus trees, etc). The house is elegant and spacious; on two levels with two bedrooms upstairs and one downstairs. Each bedroom has a dedicated bathroom. All common areas (living, dining, kitchen) are beautifully decorated, well equipped and extremely functional. Graziella was a fantastic host. Welcoming and responsive. I highly recommend this house for a great stay!

Definitely recommended Airbnb. We enjoyed the stay very much and most likely will visit again. We received a really good tip for a restaurant we went one evening, it was called La Regina Albastro, and it was awesome ✌️

We enjoyed Giusy’s place a lot. The warm sun welcomed us on the terrace with the palm and olive trees. Everything is easy to figure out and we felt home after the first 5 minutes. Had a great stay at this villa with a friend. It’s exactly as described/what you can see in the pictures. It’s a big, open plan, modern space with a beautiful pool/garden surrounded by vineyards - very peaceful. The nearby towns were pretty deserted - very few restaurants, no bustling high street/town squares etc. So if you’re looking to have regular meals/drinks out, this place might be a little too isolated for you. However, if you’re looking to just chill, cook meals in, hang out by the pool during the day, some peace and quiet, then this place is perfect. You definitely need a car whilst staying; getting from Palermo Airport took 75min (easy drive), the closest large supermarket is about an 8min drive away (in Menfi) and we even took a trip to Taormina (3.5 hour drive) for a night during our stay. Peppe (the owner) was lovely, gave us a warm welcome, showed us around the villa and was on hand for any questions we had. I’d visit again, for sure.
