It truly felt like a hidden gem - secluded and peaceful, offering the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle, yet still conveniently close to town and the beach. We stayed here prior to a cruise on Doubtful Sound. Very comfortable rural setting on a farm for two couples. A dozen farm eggs for us in the fridge, making for a nice meal of omelets, combined with some extras purchased at nearby Four Square. Plenty of cereals and yogurt. Highly recommended.

This was our second long stay at Ida Cottage. It is in the right location for anything in Lumsden, is quiet, peaceful; up to date and perfectly clean and functional. Duncan is flexible and eager to help in any ways.

Such a lovely host and very inviting place to stay. We were treated with juice, milk and hot cross buns being Easter. The cottage has everything you need for a home away from home. Walking distance to Queens park and only minutes drive to town. Super clean, tidy and well equipped with all the amenities. We had two vehicles which Lee accommodated for on-site. A very quiet and peaceful place to stay. Would definitely recommend thanks again Lee all the very best.

Amazing accommodation, such beautiful surroundings. The house had everything we needed, it was very warm and comfortable. Would love to stay again. So much to do in the Catlins area and the little town of Owaka was a short drive with everything you could need. Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️

We absolutely loved our stay! The unit was clean, has stunning views and was very peaceful and relaxing! We really appreciated the kitchen being stocked with fresh milk, orange juice and muesli! It was lovely to come back to a spa at the end of the day after adventuring around The Catlins. Thank you Lisa :)
