Vacation rentals in Congers

Our stay at Starlight Serene was everything we hoped it would be! John was very responsive and helpful, especially as this was our first time using AirBnB. The pictures are very accurate, there were plenty of towels, linens, and a VERY well equipped kitchen - much more than we expected (or I have in my own house, I think!). Lots of nice bonuses to this place - my kids loved the firepit and there was wood on hand as well as a s'mores kit; the hot tub was warm and ready when we arrived. You are at the narrower end of the lake, but still a beautiful view with plenty of wildlife. The location is great - roughly 30ish minutes to Bear Mountain, Legoland, and the Palisades Center (which had tons of rainy-day fun for kids). We even rented a pontoon boat from Murphy's Cove Marina - Richie was really wonderful to us and our kids and they loved their first time boating and fishing on the lake. Truly a wonderful escape just a couple hours from the city. The cabin is much nicer than pictures. Open kitchen and living room concept. Amazing property on the lake. Great views and super cozy!

We loved it and couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay to celebrate our Anniversary. Peaceful, clean and such amazing views of the Lake! Would definitely stay here again. Great food in the area as well.

This is the 2nd year we stayed here in March for a bike event in town. The location is perfect, you can walk to town, plenty of room for our bikes in the garage and the hot tub is great amenity. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to have meals at the house. Bruce is a great host, very helpful and always responsive. We look forward to staying again next year!

FENCED. YARD!! Apart from the clean, spacious, well appointed home, the yard was the best part. And it wasn’t just boring and flat and grassy-think boulders for climbing and jumping, hills for racing, “secret passageways” for exploring. Just be prepared to look for ticks. Clearly an excellent choice for families with children, and our dog loved it most. The home has lots of character, good books to read, games for passing time. While venturing out for hikes, we enjoyed the views along the windy roads with charming homes and mountain scenery. The kitchen had so many pots and pans and plenty of dishes. Lillian was always responsive and quick. Good choice for a peaceful getaway.

Great place for families, there is a lot of room and toys for kids, and the lake is just a short walk away!

Absolutely superb hosts and such a great location. Steven couldn’t have been a better host, our kids and us loved his place and would highly recommend. Thoughtful touches everywhere and very clean. Hope we can stay again sometime.
