Everything about our experience staying in Tessa's beautifully decorated tiny home was absolutely wonderful. She was friendly and responsive and made everything a breeze. She gave us a tour of the homestead which we particularly enjoyed; it's always a pleasure to meet great people doing neat, environmentally friendly things. The tiny house is also quite amazing, it's an impressive blend of comforts with a rustic farmhouse vibe. I would not be surprised if we wind up staying again, it would be great to see the plants in full summer glory! But even on a drizzly October weekend it was wonderful.

The cottage was lovely. It was perfect for my family trip. It is very close to everything in Oak Harbor, but still very quiet. My son had a blast exploring the farm and looking at the animals.

Great comfortable home and a wonderful host! We had absolutely no issues and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Watched the spring begin on this lovely peaceful farm with green meadows bordered by towering trees. Watched bald eagles courting from the front patio and could lie in bed listening to the peepers peep all night long. The house has a great layout with southern exposure . Lopez Island has some of the most beautiful oceanside parks and hikes in the world.

This beautiful property is off the beaten path, peaceful and bucolic, cozy and well appointed ... close to all you want to see and do in Portland. We woke to birdsong and woodpeckers, strolled through the vineyards, and then picnicked under the cherry blossoms along the Williamette in downtown Portland for lunch! The kitchen had everything we needed for a fun family dinner with game playing around the farmhouse table when the weather turned rainy in the evening. Highly recommended!

Liz was a wonderful host and made our stay feel so cozy and inviting. We would definitely book with her again if we are ever looking to stay in the area again!

We are a family of 4 with 2 kids 3 and under and a dog. We had a great stay! The place is as described and more. Very well stocked with all the essentials for kitchen and otherwise. Lots of space. Clean. Heating and cooling. Thoughtfully decorated. Lots of yard space. Beautiful view of the local mountains. Scott gave us a tour of their farm and our little guy fed the ducks - fun! Right next to Little Qualicum Cheeseworks - fresh dairy awaits. Location is good - farm setting but close to town. Overall great value and would stay again!

What a wonderful stay! Charming, family-run farm, incredibly restful location, lovely apartment above a barn. Plus, they had puppies to visit while I was there! Caela and family are just the sweetest. Thank you for a wonderful stay and the best sleep I've had in months!

If you love the peace and quiet of the country, this place is perfect! We loved it! Beautiful setting and still close to lots of things to do! We will be back

Sheila is super nice. The home looks like the pictures. We had wonderful nights and enjoyed the private patio with firepit. I definitely will come again.

Great place for a getaway specially with kids. Private and quiet. The animals and the yard is a great attraction for kids. They forgot all about their electronics and ran outside , jumping on the trampoline and feeding the animals. Highly recommend.

great place - a lot of family fun on the basketball court. dogs are amazing - it was like a puppy vacation for our pups. kids loved the room to spread out. we will be back. :)

Joe and Susan’s place was great. The home is dated in decor but very well maintained and the view. The view is amazing. We loved our stay and we have already booked to come back.

Susie’s farm house was wonderful. The location was amazing with a great view of Olympia National Park. The amenities and guest book were a nice touch. I highly recommend staying here.

Quaint old house surrounded by flowering trees (cherry?) and literally hundreds of wind turbines. The best front porch you could possibly want that is the very definition of peacefulness and calmness. I want to live there!

If you're looking for a peaceful, relaxing and beautiful getaway, this is your place. It's only a few minutes away from The Dalles but you'd never know it. The property is absolutely gorgeous with tall trees, a creek, and orchards all around. Lonnie made us feel welcome right away and was so helpful when we had questions about how to work things in the house. He encouraged us to explore the property and had great suggestions for local attractions. He's right there if you need him but also gives you space if that's what you prefer. The house was full of charm and had everything we needed. There are games and books (The Curious Gorge guide they have has everything you need to know about local hikes) and we especially enjoyed using the cornhole set in the evenings. The house was clean and the beds and sofas are very comfortable. The area is quiet and we all got great sleep. This will be the first place we check for our next trip to the Gorge.

If you're looking for country side house this is perfect place. Great property and my dog absolutely loved running around.

This was our second stay at Steven's Scholls Valley Retreat and it was just as wonderful as the first time, a few months ago. Actually better, because we did feel like we were coming home! The living space is so spacious; the views of the beautiful countryside from every window are peaceful; and the warm, earth tone colors of the furnishings all make this place a comfortable and pleasant place to spend a week. And, a delightful bonus was that all of Steven's Christmas lights were still up when we arrived! In addition, Steven is a wonderful, friendly & responsive host who we always enjoy talking with!
