Absolutely what we love. Impeccable cottage, superb and unknown region for us, superb hikes to do... We had a wonderful time and what a pleasure to relax on the terrace after the walk... We will advertise the Pilât Park and this accommodation well

A house in the middle of meadows

SophieRating, 5 stars21 months ago
The nearest village is St Genest Malifaux, 2Km downhill where most items can be purchased. A few restaurants and bars. A nice place. Great help in the tourist information. There is virtually no English at all in the location, Les Chomeys. We were greeted, and Deloris did her best to inform and guide us. The place was as seen and advertised, everything you could want. Lots of wooden features, quiet and spacious. It is on different levels, with two steps, but easily accessible. Dozens of wine glasses, however no coffee mugs. It’s a little tight getting the car in and behind gates. Needed for room for the cows. The bed, it’s a French solid wood construction, great shapes, but an Ikea frame and slates. It didn’t work. Noise, clunk, bang. Disappointing. It’s high up as a property, nearly 4000 feet, there is livestock. There are masses of flys at this time of year, we coped, but be warned. Would we recommend, certainly. Great experience, tremendous location, peaceful and French quirky.
A tidy room features a single bed with white bedding and a decorative wall with a modern pattern. A closet and shelving unit provide ample storage. A doorway leads to an adjacent area, complementing the open layout with soft natural lighting filtering through.

Gîte du Crozet – Pilat Natural Park

RobertRating, 5 stars21 months ago
A super place for a break. Perfect for a couple, or for a family of 4. Réne and Françoise live on site and met us on arrival. They left us to it but were available if needed for help and tips. The house is very well equipped with everything we could need. It was also blissfully quiet and peaceful. Great walks right from the door.

Grand Gîte de Peycolomb at the edge of the Pilat forest

Thank you to Pascale and Yves for their charming and very comfortable cottage. Cleanliness and quality of the bedding. We woke up in a very green environment with views of the donkeys in the morning, the children loved it. We also appreciated that the house is well equipped with roller shutters that do not let light through. Thanks to them too for the fireplace before we arrived.
