We are so pleased to have recently stayed at Scarborough House. Ted and Sue are the most welcoming and hospitable hosts who insured that our stay was nothing but the best. Their guest suites are extremely comfortable with all of the comforts of home. The views from this property are stunning and we appreciated the special marine life of Kaikoura.

Jen is friendly and enthusiastic, and also responds promptly. When I checked in, the two little dogs greeted me very warmly as well. The surrounding environment is beautiful, and the garden is well-maintained and cozy, making me feel relaxed. Highly recommend it.

Very friendly host and a great location with an amazing view! The breakfast selection was really good and offered a nice start to the day. We stayed in the “Puppy Flowers” room, which had its charm, but could use a fresh coat of paint or a little more love. Overall, a pleasant stay!

We arrived after dark and in the rain, but Gordon met us at the gate and helped us get inside. The place was clean and comfortable. The location was amazing with some awesome views. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Just a few minutes walk or very short drive to the end of the peninsula. The location is essentially on the peninsula loop walkway. We hiked the loop walkway and got to see hundreds of seals, some very close up, as well as lots of shorebirds etc. We had a great although brief stay. We wished we could stay longer and would definitely stay again.

We had a wonderful stay here. The space itself was spacious and had everything you'd need. There was a washing machine and a clothes line which was very convenient. The location was perfect, very peaceful and quiet with amazing views all round. Claire, the host, was amazing. She was very welcoming with plenty of suggestions for things to do in the surrounding area. And finally, Archie the dog was the most polite and excitable young man!
