Vacation rentals with a kayak in Clare

Great host, great house, great location! This is a very private house that is not far from town, only 20 minutes from the ferry. The house is clean, well appointed and spacious. It’s right on the water which gives hours of enjoyable relaxing both day and night. Speaking of night, you haven’t seen a night sky like this, it’s really amazing! This home was the perfect temporary home base for me and my family as we explored southern Nova Scotia. The host is excellent at communicating clearly. My family of 4 was more than comfortable during our stay here. We’d definitely stay again! Thank you for a great stay!

Every step of the way - John was a a great communicator, making sure we had all the information we needed for our visit and the surrounding area. His cozy get away, is surrounded by beautiful nature, very private and yet only 10 minutes from the town of Annapolis Royal with all the amenities. The open fireplace, with lots of DRY wood and kindling was a bonus as the weather was stormy during our visit. John also checked in with us a few times to make sure we could get in and out of the driveway during the storm. 2 lovely balconies would be perfect in the summer for sitting out and looking into the trees - and which we were able to use this trip for barbequeing in the snow storm:) Very dog friendly as located off the main road and km of trails right out the door for walking off leash or snowshoeing. Would absolutely return at any time of year!

I have been thinking what I would include in this review since we stepped foot on Ginny’s beautiful property. None of what I’ve thought about saying scratch the surface of how amazing the property is. The photos don’t do it justice! The property is in amazing condition and well appointed with comfortable linens and furniture. We particularly appreciated the abundant supply of dark towels to help with washing everything from sticky fingers to removing mascara. Ginny has thought of everything you could possibly need, want or need before we did. Everything you might need or want on a whim has been thoughtfully provided by Ginny. Oh, and on the topic of Ginny… a better host has never existed! They’re so thoughtful, proactive and kind. Thank you for such a lovely and relaxing stay. Our only regret is not spending more time at your lovely property.

Ryan was fantastic! He was clear about everything that we needed to know up front, was super helpful when I had questions (even when I realized after the fact he had already given me the information I was looking for lol), and the property was absolutely stunning and so much fun for everyone! We went as a group of 3 moms and 6 kids five and under. We will be back! Nothing was missed in this place, everything you could think you would need was there! Fantastic!

Perfect stay at a delightfully remote lake and forest.

Lori's place is fantastic, especially if you have young kids. My 5 and 8 year old really enjoyed the kids toys (which came in very handy as it was a rainy trip!). I cant wait to return in the peak of summer sometime and enjoy the amenities at their best. Lori was responsive and very quick to answer any questions. I highly recommend her place!

Serendipity, the name of Tam’s place, is in an idyllic spot along a beautiful lake! It is peaceful, quiet, gorgeous. There are shared spaces, but that works out fine! You are off the beaten path, away from the big cities, yet not too far. There is easy access to the highways and you are just a few miles from beautiful Mavillette beach and the lighthouse of Cape Ste-Marie and the cliffs there! Tam is great!😊👍👍👍

I am not going to give away their secret but they went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. You will have to book to see how they look after you. Their home was exceptional roomy and extremely clean. Very well stocked for everything you need.

Beautiful spot nestled in the woods on a gorgeous lake. Plenty of outdoor activities and two large cabins for those rainy days. Can’t recommend enough if you are looking for a secluded get away.

my family and I loved staying at Henrik's lake house. The view of the lake from 2 sides of the property were stunning. the house was very clean and relaxing. I would definitely recommend this property!

We felt like we had a break from the world. It was peaceful, very cozy, charming, and comfortable. We slept like babies, even though it was cooler weather and we had to put wood in the stove for heat (something we enjoyed immensely). Kitchen was reasonably equipped, so we just cooked our own meals. If you’re ok with a few bugs and spiders here and there (nothing dangerous), you’ll love it. We plan to be back.

Unfortunately, due to health circumstances, we were unable to stay at Shelly’s place. However, communication with Shelly was excellent, she is very compassionate and understanding, and I look forward to staying at her place in the future.

Morgan and Zoee’s space was beautiful and it’s perfect for a private getaway or a family trip! there view from the back windows is stunning and even better if you go on the floating dock. if you find it cold, there is a lovely fireplace in the main room, and an electric one in the master bedroom. both heat the space so well! the place came stocked with all the amenities you could need, and there were lots of fresh towels and blankets. the kitchen is fully stocked with all types of dinnerware and dishes, and the fridge was a highlight of our stay. there was also a really cool mirror in the bathroom and we all loved it!

Had a great time! Perfect for a little weekend getaway. Lots of activities included to make the most of your stay, had fun kayaking, fishing, and biking. The cabin feels a little out in the open, with no trees and located near the main road, and being quite close to the other cabins. Hosts were great and responsive and made us feel welcomed!

My family and I loved Mark’s place. From the moment we arrived we felt right at home. The cabin was very clean and had everything for you that you could think of. My kids loved waking up every morning and going on the lake fishing. At night after a day out we would come back and light a fire at the fire pit lakeside. I would highly recommend this place and hope to come back again next year.

A cute rustic cabin overlooking a beautiful peaceful lake. I only wish we could have stayed longer. Just as described: small but clean and well equipped. Highly recommend!

What a great little place, the location is beautiful. Hoping to come back when the weather is warmer and I can take advantage of the proximity of the water. Laura was a very responsive and accommodating host!

Jennifer was quick to respond and the spot is incredible so peaceful and beautiful sitting and watching the lake and the humming birds was amazing , would rent again for sure

The cottage was just as expected from the photos and description. The grandchildren loved going to the lake each day , just hanging out in hammock and playing in the cottage. They would like to come back again and so would we.
