Waterfront vacation rentals in Christ Church

My partner and I stayed for a week in Jess’s apartment, whilst I surfed and remote worked from the UK and close to my partners home in Oistins. Jess’s cosy apartment was just what we were looking for, private, quiet, comfortable and with lots of outside living space. The breeze blows through all the open shutters making it nice and cool and we enjoyed dinners in the garden and afternoon naps in the hammock. The apartment is a 5 minute walk from Freights Bay to surf and 20 minute walk to Miami Beach and Oistins for the shops and places to eat. Jess was the highlight of the trip giving us loads of great recommendations and an all round great host and person. We will definitely be keeping in touch and saying again!

Modern, cosy and extremly clean. The apartment was neat and well equipped with everything you would need and more. Boasted some stunning views of the ocean. The hosts are really cool and responive. SOV301 is centrally located if you’re planning to enjoy the beaches and nightlife, up the west coast or down the south coast. 100% would stay here again.

We were there for a family reunion. Lots of us were scattered about at LC , Salty Toes, Barefoot Bay etc. so the location is great for convenience, grocery shopping, bakery etc. Lots of sea weed at this time of year which is not great. But can’t beat location for convenience. If you plan not to rent a car, it is easy to move about on foot or by local transport. Noisy though at night as a busy junction.

Kevin was an excellent host, always available and responsive about questions we had as well as many recommendations for things to do/places to see. We were pleasantly surprised that the balcony was bigger than it looked in the pictures. You cannot beat the view of having a private balcony literally on the beach. The beach in front of the apartment did have lots of seaweed the time of year we went so we didn't spend too much time in the water there, but Carlisle Bay is a short 15 min drive away for the perfect lazy beach days we all wish to have on vacation. Carlisle bay also has excellent snorkeling if you bring your own gear and don't mind a leisurely 100yd swim or so to get to the shipwrecks. Having the waves as a natural sound machine made every night pleasant and restful as well as having AC in the bedrooms to keep it nice and cool. We highly recommend renting a car vs using public transport so you can have a lot more freedom to roam the island on your own time.

We could mot imagine any bettee location..directly on the beach..amazing terraxe on the top appartmen. we felt like home on our full week of stay. further we got free beds and umbrella on the beach every day. A full during stay cleaning with a glance. Gregory was always reachabble..around with lot of recomonantions and any help we required. We hope to stay again in this wondeeful place.

It was exactly what I needed. Beautiful set up and location love the levels. Very spacious. Amazing beach setting Sound of waves all day Very local. Everything in walking distance or a cheap z van. Thank you for everything

David and his team were fantastic, right from the moment we contacted them inquiring about a last minute booking. The rental is stunning, spotless and has everything you need to enjoy your stay. They honestly thought about everything. The staff on site were super sweet, helpful, a true pleasure to chat with. I highly recommend this piece of heaven , we loved it and know you will too !

Great location near the Gap, very spacious apartment, great pool, incredibly flexible and friendly local host (Orissa) (the flexibility was much appreciated as we had four 2 and under!) - an overall great stay!

Lex’s place had it all. There is a beautiful beach right outside the back door, it’s walkable to a grocery store, several cafes and bars and the Friday fish fry. We also could grab busses right outside the house to get to Bridgetown for more beaches and restaurants. Walking around felt safe (well lit) but of course be aware of your surroundings and the cars wiz by so be aware of where the sidewalks are. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space. We loved how there were lots of towels and pillows! The only thing to prepare for is that the second bedroom gets traffic noise so maybe bring earplugs if you’re sleeping in that room.

Book with confidence! Kathy is a responsive and helpful host, with obvious price in the residence, to the point of visiting shortly after our arrival to help check-in. The location is more walkable than most, with very easy access to a grocery store, an excellent/affordable restaurant, and the Oistin's fish fry. As I later found out... other homes outside of tourist-y areas are not so conveniently located as this one. We slept very well and were not impacted by street noise. The bedrooms were very comfortable, air conditioned, with sinks in each room. At the time of our visit, the entire east and south coasts were impacted by beach seaweed. Not ideal... but the views, beach access, local culture and amenities... cannot be beat! Goodwyn provides a great deal at a very good value. Thank you Kathy, for hosting our first visit to Barbados!

Salty toes is unbelievable!, and it's a must visit! From the cleanliness of the house itself to the sandy beach coming right up to the outdoor seating area, simply amazing! It's one of those places that's quiet and off the main street but it has everything on its doorstep! lovely bars, restaurants, food courts, lovely boardwalks etc it has it all.. the house was spotless, fully stocked with everything you could imagine. Big cooker, big fridge freezer/ washing/ dryer facilities. Salty toes has ample space for families. Two big seating areas inside for eating at, and then the outdoor area just has to be seen! Amazing! All 3 bedrooms were huge, crisp clean linen and all beds with memory foam mattresses! We'll definitely be back to Salty Toes, home away from home. I'd be giving this place 20/10! Surfview is a pleasant, small community made up of 7 one story apartments plus a very clean swimming pool. Most of the people staying there are long time owners who are open to socializing which occurs mostly around the pool since there isn’t a beach directly in front of the establishment at this time. The community is located right on the ocean where you can visit the coral rock point and then adventure further to the kilometer long, undeveloped Long Beach. Ian, who is the local caretaker of the grounds and pool is friendly with everyone and has a beautiful singing voice and Cecelia who cleans apartment Apt #9 is also a treasure. Both have worked at Surfpoint for over 30 years. The owner of #9 is very supportive and responsive to all your needs.

We had an amazing stay! The location of the place is extremely quiet and calming the perfect getaway. The ocean view was definitely my favorite part; waking up to it every morning was a dream. We had a small hiccup at the beginning of our stay, but the host handled it with excellent communication and kindness, even though the issue wasn’t their fault. You're about 10–20 minutes away from most things, which made it easy to explore while still enjoying peace and privacy. Overall, it was an incredible experience and we can’t wait to book again!

Karen's place was perfect for our family of four for a week in March. We were greeted upon arrival for check in, and appreciated the warm welcome. The home was larger than we anticipated. The amenities helped us feel comfortable, and we had everything we needed after a quick stop at the local market nearby. The view on the back deck was lovely in the morning watching turtles swimming all around; during the afternoons filled with surfers; and at dusk for beautiful sunsets each evening. The pool was delightful and we enjoyed it for many hours. The location was perfect for walking to Surfers Cafe, Oistins and other local eateries; morning walks along the southern part of the island; and exploring small beaches nearby. Friday night at Oistins Fish Fry was a highlight, and only a 15 minute walk from Karen's. We would highly recommend Halcyon on Freights Bay if you are visiting Barbados.

This may be the best Airbnb I've ever stayed in! Great location, amazing views, well equipped, and wonderful hosts! Hannah and Russell were extremely communicative and helpful throughout the entire stay. Next time I'm back in Barbados I will be aiming to stay here again!

The location of Celia’s place is ideal is you want to be by the coast, it’s stunning and the hose itself has a vintage style and charm which I loved. You are basically in Surfers point which is more rural, lush, and peaceful with easy access to Oistins (10 mins) and Bridgetown (15/20) on the Z bus or car. I wanted to surf so this was perfect, Zeds Surf school, is right next door for private 1-1 lessons. The coastal breezes in this location are constant and very welcome as Celia’s place does not have air conditioning, which we struggled with during the nights. The area does lack grocery stores or coffee places, Buff’s is there for some basics but it’s limited. oistins has all you need, supermarket and fresh fish at really good prices. Unfortunately the basics such as milk, cheese, eggs, coffee are very expensive. I paid 3 x as much for milk! Barbados is very expensive day to day, more so than I had expected, I’d be better prepared now if I return. We had a magical time there 🇧🇧❤️

We spent 11 great vacation days at the blue waters condo. We felt at home from the very first moment! It has enough space, is clean, well equipped, cozy garden, quietly located.... The location is also excellent, a short walk to our favorite beach, Oistins is also within walking distance. And the communication with Alicia worked great! Garry’s place was perfect for our girls trip. It had everything you could need and more. He was very proactive, responsive and helpful. The condo is picture perfect and we really appreciate the thoughtfulness of Garry and his team.

This was our first time in Barbados and this property made for a great trip. We would definitely stay there again. Great location right in the middle of all the St Lawrence Gap action and restaurants, but still felt secluded and private when on property. We were greeted at the location when we arrived and given a thorough walk through of the property as well as local recommendations. If you are looking for a place to stay on the south coast look no further!

We had a lovely and relaxing stay at Maxwell Beach Villas! Yonette was an excellent host- always prompt in answering our questions. We were welcomed with rum punch and fresh rum cake! The pictures accurately describe the layout of condo and it was extremely clean and neat upon arrival . The view of the ocean and pool really blew us away, we never got tired of sitting on the terrace and enjoying the ocean view. It is important, though, to mention that the beach directly in front of the property is much smaller than shown in the pictures. I do wish the photos were more accurate to the current state of the beach. There is a large amount of seaweed there as well. For this reason we didn’t use the beach directly on the property but luckily it’s a short drive to many gorgeous beaches which we enjoyed throughout the week. The condo is also situated near many restaurants and stores. Our children loved the pool on the property and swam every day. Overall this was a very relaxing vacation!

Great place to stay, would love to come back! We come to Barbados once a year to visit family. This is by far the nicest place we’ve stayed. The location is amazing. And is the perfect distance to the boardwalk. The pool is great. The Ac was great, and the staff were always responsive and polite. Located within walking distance of a lot of things to do on the south side. Can get a bit noisy from the location but only for a few hours and we slept just fine every time. (And our 6 month old)
