Revamped Minimalist Stone Country House

Nestled on the foot of mount Giouchtas, in the picturesque village of Archanes, our stone countryhouse is located in one of the most central and beautiful parts of the area. Archanes are 20 minutes away from the centre of Heraklion(15km), 15 minutes away from Heraklion's International airport, 15 minutes away from the famous Minoan palace of Knossos, as well as 20 minutes away from numerous beautiful beaches. Situated in the center of the most important wine-producing region of Crete, it has a 5000 years old history, while excavations conducted in the last 50 years have brought to light a lot of sites dating back to the Minoan period. The village is also very famous for its typical Cretan architecture. Most of the houses have been restored recently and Archanes has won the second award as “the best restored village in Europe”. The house enjoys a spacious interior and a private garden, which is protected by a peripheral wall. This is a typical characteristic of old Cretan houses of the area. Guests enter the private garden through the gate which then leads to the main building. I am always at the disposal of my guests, so that I can make their holiday problem-free. Furthermore, there is a free parking very close to the house. The country house is only 20’ away from the “Nikos Kazantzakis Airport” and the port. The archeological site of Knossos is 15’ away.

The house is easily accessible, with nearby towns like Ierapetra and Agios Nikolaos, traditional villages and many beaches.

Discover authentic Cretan hospitality in the quiet village of Kroustas, just 12 minutes from Agios Nikolaos. The house is located in a central but quiet part of the village. Enjoy relaxation on the spacious rooftop with lawn, sun loungers, jacuzzi, barbecue, and a large table ideal for meals overlooking the sea and nature. An ideal place for families or groups of friends looking for peace and traditional atmosphere. The house is located a few meters from a playground, taverns and mini market.

A ten minute drive takes you down to the sea and to the city of Agios Nikolaos - to shops, Cafés, Restaurants, bars and beaches.
