Lake house vacation rentals in Chicago

Gary’s place was a great fit for myself and two teenage daughters. Nestled In between Wrigley ( via walking ) and downtown shopping (via train) and a short walk to the lake for sunrise. The residential area was beautiful, safe and clean with tree lined streets. Parking requires a little patience. The accommodation was clean and comfortable, nice and cool for the best sleeps. Gary reached out to ensure we were comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.

I have never felt so fully welcomed into an Airbnb home! Jane and Lewis are wonderful hosts, and their home's location is great, a short walk from a park and lovely beach. I would definitely stay here again.

Our stay with Paula was great! Very cozy and so close to the Aragon Ballroom. We walked to a lot of nearby places for food and drinks. Paula was very sweet and responsive for anything we needed!

Janet's place was magnificent! She was so flexible with checking in, I was coming to town without a car and she accommodated me and made it convenient to check in. Her home is lovely and steps to the lake. Very walkable, in fact I walked 8 miles 1 day. Janet was warm and welcoming, giving us the history of the beautiful home renovation. I am a big home history buff so it was great. The neighborhood is filled with beautiful homes. Janet provided everything one would need. My stay was wonderful and Janet's restaurant recommendations were spot on. Thank you for a great restful stay.

This place was amazing... They layout was terrific. quiet neighborhood, safe, and had everything we needed. we were celebrating my birthday (pre) My friends 🧡 Even set up a Bday table for me down stairs and we had our in vip golden girlz(ladies) celebrations 🍾 😀 😄 ❤️

Stay went very smoothly and I would recommend for anyone seeing an event at Allstate arena(walking distance) or needing a place to stay flying thru O'Hare. Target and a wide variety of fast casual dining 1 min away. The listing mentioned a grill and that was unavailable, you may want to check with the host in advance if you are planning to use any amenities.

The house amenities were well thought out and had everything we would find and need in our our home. extra linens, convenient and safe location, and even toys and pack and plays for the kids. would absolutely recommend for any and everyone.

The hosts were incredibly nice! They truly did care about our stay. My stay consisted of recovering from a surgery. They went above and beyond to make sure I was safe and cared for! I got to enjoy the home and my husband got to go across the street to the beautiful park to fish. The questions we did have received quick responses every time. Next time we are in the area, we will be going back!

Words can’t describe how beautiful and clean the property and neighborhood is! The house is very spacious and modern. The basement is new, has a big room and bathroom with shower. The masters bedroom has a living room and GORGEOUS bathroom! The host provided cleaning supplies and even personal bathroom supplies for men and woman. The host was very nice and friendly 🥰 We had an incident with our previous AIRBNB and we had to rent this one last minute- The host responded at 1am letting us checked in at 1am. If you plan on staying here, please take care of it lol It’s such a lovely house! 100% Recommend!

This was our second visit to Efren's place, and it was just as delightful as the first. A beautiful home with nice amenities in a great neighborhood. We had one small request (fresh batteries for the remote) and response was immediate. Thanks, Efren!

The little house felt like home while my husband and friends were in town for a co vent job. The place was clean, we had everything we needed, and the place was very thoughtfully organized and decorated. We found what we needed easily and had enough space easily for the group. Our hosts responded to messages when we had questions. Highly recommend staying here, the neighborhood is beautiful and safe and there’s lots of access to entertainment, food and shopping.

Lovely space and a perfect location for exploring the city. Great restaurants within a short walk. Lincoln Park also just a short walk.

Craig was very responsive both before our booking and upon our arrival. The place was beautiful and spotless; it looked and felt like a hotel but was also very homey. We enjoyed the lovely place and the town and the convenience of getting to local areas and going to Chicago. The house came with nice supplies in the bathrooms and nice quality linens, kitchen cookware, etc. The ping pong table was a nice addition. Definitely will stay again.

I had an excellent stay at Jabeen’s house in Villa Park. The home was exactly as described, spotlessly clean, very comfortable, and well-equipped with everything I needed. The location was peaceful and quiet, perfect for a restful weekend. What truly made the experience stand out was the combination of thoughtful amenities and top-notch communication. I especially appreciated the fast Wi-Fi, well-stocked kitchen, reliable AC, and relaxing patio. When I mentioned that the blender wasn’t working, Jabeen immediately replaced it—an example of her responsiveness and attention throughout my stay. I highly recommend this place for families looking for a comfortable and hassle-free stay in the area. Would definitely return!

Jimmy was friendly and helpful; his directions were clear and simple. The house is tidy and completely dust free. It’s inviting, but unpretentious, set in the most appealing area walking distance from a lake. Kitchen is suitably equipped. Towels were fluffy, bedding was inviting. AC gets cold.

This home is well-appointed, in a quiet and tree-lined neighborhood, and very clean. Five of us (including 3 over the age of 75) enjoyed our stay and would return. Easy drive to downtown Highland Park and surrounding towns. Amy was responsive and a great host!

My family and I really enjoyed our stay. The house was very roomy and comfortable. The kitchen had the equipment needed to cook We had plenty of towels for showers. The house was very clean. The neighborhood was quiet and the beach was nearby. A very relaxing visit. On Saturday afternoon we went to VIN for a wine tasting. The town center was pretty close and we went out to local restaurants for 2 breakfasts. A grocery store was also nearby . I would definitely stay again.

Aina hosted our group of 10 in this beautiful home. The home was exactly like the pictures and very clean. The instructions were clear and made for an effortless stay here. We would definitely recommend!
