Lake house vacation rentals in Chicago

We booked this room for my sister who was visiting family with us. Having stayed here ourselves before over the holidays, we knew it was just the right thing for her. She was very comfortable and slept well.

Our family had such a wonderful visit with our new Sailor. We spent two days sitting around, eating & playing games. We have a large family & we had more than enough room plus the common areas were large enough to accommodate family time. Beautiful home & property & the host is a great at returning messages.

The place was perfect for our needs in Chicago. It’s well kept, up to date, and fits the description.

Lilly was prompt in her responses and very helpful. The place was well kept and clean. A quick Uber ride to downtown. Our group really enjoyed our stay!!

Th convenient location with parking can’t be beat. The room and bathroom are well-appointed, and the bed is comfortable. Jane is responsive, gracious, and accommodating. She’s my favorite AirBnB host I’ve ever met! I’m hoping my travel plans allow me another opportunity to stay here again. Thanks for the hospitality and a place to stay!

We found our stay with Paula to be absolutely delightful and better than if we had a place all to ourselves. She was generous, responsive, and helpful in many ways. We could not have had a nicer, better hostess and we look forward to staying with her the next time we visit Chicago.

I can’t praise this place enough. Not only was it more beautiful than the pictures, but Janet also provided amenities above and beyond what was listed. She provided towels, sunscreen, and a beach pass and the house is in walking distance to Lake Michigan. She was always quickly able to answer any questions and was readily available. Janet really tries to make the space feel at home and provides you with everything you need for a comfortable stay. I was surprised by the quality and ease of the entire stay, and the room was gorgeous (lots of natural light and plenty of privacy). I HIGHLY recommend this location for an Evanston visit (walking distance to downtown and the lake) as well as the excellent service I received from Janet.

This place was amazing... They layout was terrific. quiet neighborhood, safe, and had everything we needed. we were celebrating my birthday (pre) My friends 🧡 Even set up a Bday table for me down stairs and we had our in vip golden girlz(ladies) celebrations 🍾 😀 😄 ❤️

Olga’s place was really great. Took the train to the city most days. Felt really safe, bed was comfortable and was a great stay!

We had a great stay. So many great spaces in the house for a group of working adults. Everyone had a desk or comfortable place to set up laptops. The house was fresh and smelled wonderful from the wood burning fireplace/fire pit.

EJ’s place was a perfect base for us to explore the surrounding area. In a quiet, charming neighborhood that we enjoyed walking each morning and evening. Well equipped for a family with kids, with big bedrooms, a lovely kitchen and living space. EJ was friendly, super responsive and an all around great host. We highly recommend this space and will be sure to come back soon!

Eric’s home was a great place to stay while we were in the Chicago area. The house is in a cute little neighborhood, which judging by the amount of Christmas lights on the houses, is family-friendly and felt totally safe. 11/10 recommend booking your stay with Eric!!

Very comfy home. We loved the 2 living rooms with the bigger tvs. Will say the kids beds were very hard, I don't think kids would mind but the adults had a hard time. We enjoyed the kitchen honestly. So much space and it was very clean. Having 2 bathrooms was also a huge plus also!! Thank you for having us!!

The apartment is lovely and very convenient. We really appreciated the charcuterie tray in the refrigerator.

We had a great experience at Craig's place. Great location--super walkable, close to public transit and restaurants. The place was very comfortable had everything we needed. Very happy with our choice.

This is a Beautiful Home, with a peaceful atmosphere. A Great place to walk into and relax after a long trip, and spacious enough for a small group to enjoy one another's company without feeling overcrowded. 2 Full Refrigerators and 2 Full size stoves makes this location a rare find.

Robin is a lovely host and has a gorgeous home- feels much larger than the pictures and is beautifully decorated. Tons of space for a large group. We ran into a problem with the AC and refrigerator and Robin was extremely responsive and proactive in getting everything taken care of and taken care of quickly. The street this house is on feels safe and the neighbors were kind. It was perfect for a long weekend!

Kristen is an excellent host. The carriage house is exactly as pictured and described. There were so many little extras that Kristen provided. It’s like she thought of everything a traveler could possibly forget and provided it. The hand written thank you note, dark chocolate bar (that happened to be my husband’s favorite), disposable house shoes at the front door are just a few. The kitchen is fully stocked, and having 2.5 bathrooms in a two bedroom Airbnb is not easy to find. The house was very clean, and most importantly the beds were comfortable with nice linens. I was very impressed that the decorative pillows had removable covers, that lets me know they can be cleaned after each guest. Kristen was very polite and prompt in all her responses. We have definitely found our Chicago Airbnb.

Place was great to stay! Jimmy is very responsive, helped us with an early check-in to get people from the airport into the airbnb.

We had a WONDERFUL time at Olusesan's place! It was spotless, very comfortable, and well worth the price. He was also very responsive! If you are picky about where you stay, I HIGHLY suggest this Airbnb. It is immaculate. We can't wait to stay here again!

Amy is a fantastic host! the home had so much character and charm with plenty of space for the 4 adults we had staying there. I personally enjoyed her decorating style and enjoyed looking at the different artwork she had around the home. Amy was very responsive and had clear instructions for us. The neighborhood felt safe and wasn't too far from downtown Chicago. We would definitely come back again!

My family and I really enjoyed our stay. The house was very roomy and comfortable. The kitchen had the equipment needed to cook We had plenty of towels for showers. The house was very clean. The neighborhood was quiet and the beach was nearby. A very relaxing visit. On Saturday afternoon we went to VIN for a wine tasting. The town center was pretty close and we went out to local restaurants for 2 breakfasts. A grocery store was also nearby . I would definitely stay again.
