Excellent choice to escape the city routine! Accessible location, with parking and useful infrastructures about 20 minutes by car. Very beautiful and welcoming historic village, calm, surrounded by nature and peace. The house exceeded expectations, being better than in the photographs, besides that it was impeccable: clean, tidy and equipped with everything you need. The huge courtyard, the amazing jacuzzi, the bicycles, the hammock, the skylights, the air conditioning, the fire, the fireplace and the salamander were some of the cherries on the cake, but everything amazed us and made us feel right at home! Reception of companion animals also pleased us a lot. The hosts were impeccable: friendly, available, responsive, accessible and always ready to help or give suggestions on what to enjoy in the surroundings. Dona Paula is a very humble and caring person, who knows the history of the village and sharing it with a glow in her eyes. We hope to return one day!

Nuno's house is spacious, well-conditioned and has everything you need. Easy access, ample and comfortable parking on the property. Exceed what was seen in the photos. Very quiet area, where you can rest with total privacy. Walking you will easily reach the monumental area and all kinds of services and commerce. Crossing the street there is an extraordinary and highly recommended restaurant: good atmosphere, fabulous cuisine, excellent value for money. The house is totally recommended. If we visit the area again, we'll repeat for sure.

Would consider a longer stay in the future, home was comfortable, clean, well equipped kitchen, and beautifully furnished !

We really enjoyed staying at Gonçalo’s house! It is on the outskirts of Chaves but easy to drive in to town. The area is nice and calm. The porch is nice to relax with some wine and have a glimpse of Chaves. The house is located on a hill so there is a nice view from some areas of the house. The neighbors are really friendly. The house is comfortable to relax and cook some meals if you choose. Very comfortable beds and bedding to get a nice sleep. Bathroom water pressure and shower is great, which I don’t see very often in older homes even when refurbished. Gonçalo met us at the house and explained everything we needed to know. He has all kinds of tips for the area that he’s glad to share. He was always available if we had any questions. We definitely plan to stay again later this year as there are so many interesting small towns in the area to explore! Chaves is really a beautiful city with an amazing park, castelo, all types of restaurants and many small local businesses.

Both Marco, with whom we spoke by message, and Maria José, who received us, were super attentive, helpful and friendly. The house is a delight. Super spacious, comfortable, tastefully and simply decorated. We didn't want for anything! We rented all the rooms (the whole house), but you can also rent just the room, then share the common spaces with the other guests. All rooms have TV, air-conditioning and a bathroom. 4 of the rooms have a balcony and the one that doesn't is a huge suite with two double beds. Breakfast arrived early in the morning: baskets with various delicious homemade products. In fact, almost all products are produced by the owners of the house, and can be purchased by guests. We loved our stay and hope to repeat it in the summer to enjoy the pool.

Hello, place set back from the city, peaceful, very clean, very friendly owner, the pool was also very clean, showers nearby. Linen, consumables, hair dryer, present upon arrival. Very much appreciated. Very nice view, during the day and at night, beautiful… Privacy respected as well. The space is dedicated to you with a parking space.

Warm and welcoming hosts. Fabulous gardens and pool. The apartment was well equipped. They generously gave us some of their delicious homegrown produce and eggs! They were instantly on hand to respond to any questions without being intrusive. We very much enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider another visit.
