Quiet place and very adequate amenities. Super clean!

Clean cottage and breathtaking location!

We had a great time at the trapper's cottage. Although we were afraid of being cold when we arrived at the accommodation, we contacted Genessee upon arrival who was very responsive and came to help us turn on the wood burning stove. The space heated very quickly and throughout the stay the indoor temperature was warm even without the wood burner being turned on. Great environment with walks in the estate and up to the reserve where you can see deer. The cottage may seem small from the outside when you arrive, but in reality it is very spacious and large in depth. There were 8 of us and we had plenty of space. Change of scenery and tranquility assured. We would definitely recommend Genessee's homes, which is very friendly, warm and caring.

The house is very cozy and in an excellent location. The sun comes up over the St. Lawrence in the morning and the neighborhood is very quiet and private. The house has a home feel to it versus a sterile hotel room feel. Thank you for a nice stay!

I had a wonderful stay! The place was incredibly calm and peaceful — perfect for relaxing. The view of Mount Massif and the water was absolutely stunning. Inside, everything was spotless and very well maintained. It’s definitely a perfect getaway spot for anyone looking to unwind in a beautiful setting. Highly recommend!

We very much appreciated the calm and snowy landscape offered by this chalet located in front of the Rivière des Chaudières. This stay was a real break from tranquility, allowing us to do nothing and recharge our batteries to the fullest. Simon responds quickly and clearly, making communication smooth and enjoyable. We highly recommend this getaway for a relaxing moment in nature!

We went with a few families to the cottage and we really enjoyed it. The view is beautiful and it was very quiet! Even though the weather conditions were not optimal we played board games and the children had plenty of space to have fun! Thank you & we'll be back for sure :)

We had wonderful 4 days at Yves place. Layout is very smart. Wonderful windows and light. Bed very comfortable. Happily cooked in the kitchen. It is well positioned to walk to the old city and along the St. Lawrence River. On the other side of the Marina is an urban garden with the most amazing veggies. We had wonderful neighbors during out stay in the sister house boat next to us. Looking forward to coming back.

The accommodation is aptly named! Beautiful sunrise over Quebec City and the St. Lawrence, accompanied by the song of the bustards. The view alone is worth the trip and the accommodation is very comfortable.

We loved this location! It was an easy walk to restaurants and shops. The boat was clean and had a great view of the city. Yves was an excellent host…very attentive to questions. We throughly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely stay here again!

I enjoyed my stay of 3 nights, the village is a few minutes away with grocery stores, etc., in the chalet all the amenities are there, the beds very comfortable, the wood stove is a big plus, it heats the entire cottage, and the view, superb!! a big thank you!

Exceptional stay in winter in this very cozy and warm chalet. The view of the Saint Laurent is crazy and transforms every day . Access may seem complicated but in the end there is no problem and if the ice threatened to prevent us from passing our host immediately ordered a snowmobile. We recommend for the location! Everything was perfect, The view of the lake from the jacuzzi is priceless. Super equipped, very spacious. Very clean. Stephanie was very nice and the cabin is a special place to enjoy as a family or with friends.

Diane went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and welcoming. The location was right on the water although due to weather we were restricted from accessing it. The island was quiet but that was what we expected and wanted. Bed was extremely comfortable. Shower was great with good water pressure. We'd love to come back and will stay with Diane again!

Can't say enough great things about Le 98! Beautifully appointed, with everything you could possibly need or want - and more! The view? Wow! The area is quiet and peaceful in winter, perfect for a cozy getaway. You'll need a car, but Quebec City and Sainte Anne du Beaupre are within easy distance, and Montmorency Falls is just over the bridge. Mario was kind, communicative and took great care to see that all was well - even while abroad! Sensational all around. Highly recommend!

The chalet was nice and cozy! The weather was beautiful with the exception of the last day, and we spent all weekend sitting outside looking at the view. Loved the island and the accessibility of the house.

We were looking for a refuge by the river to get away from our daily lives and that's exactly what The Captaincy gave us: a house of yesteryear in all its splendor and charm with everything you might need during your stay!
