The place was fabulous, exactly how it was presented in pictures. Had all the amenities as listed. I would say you will feel at home staying here, the rooms were cozy and clean. Bathrooms were spotless and overall we had a great experiance staying. Please don't think twice before booking the place if you see it book it.

The place is right in the middle of Thamel. So it is very easy to move around. It is a sixth floor without lift. For me this was ok. Very polite and helpful host.

Shailendra's guesthouse is a gem! After trekking in the mountains, spending 6 nights at his place felt like coming home. Nestled near Patan Durbar Square, the guesthouse is situated in a quaint, historic area of Kathmandu, where narrow streets devoid of cars wind through charming alleys filled with cozy cafes and eateries. Without hesitation, I recommend this location over Thamel (in my opinion, at least). The space itself exudes charm and comfort, with a homely ambiance. The Wi-fi was reliable, which was important considering I had quite a bit of work to get done. Oh, and the breakfast each morning was amazing! Above all, Shailendra's hospitality sets this guesthouse apart. In my 10+ years as an Airbnb user, he stands out as one of the finest hosts I've encountered. His warmth, assistance, and brief nightly chats added a personal touch, truly transforming the stay into a home.

The BEST Airbnb I’ve ever booked in Nepal! The space is stunning—loft-style, modern, peaceful, and filled with natural light. The big balcony was my favorite spot to relax. It’s located in a quiet area but super convenient—there’s a laundry and mini grocery right next door, with fruit stalls and several mini marts nearby. Great cafés and restaurants are just a 5–10 min walk, and the iconic Boudhanath Stupa is only 10–15 mins away. Jas, the host, was incredible—so warm, kind, and helpful. He made me feel truly welcome and taken care of. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Kathmandu!

Sachin is a brilliant host, gave me lots of information about the area and assistance with anything I needed. Apartment is pleasant and very clean. Roof top area is a nice bonus with great views too. Comfortable bed

We stayed for a month over Christmas and new years and we were very happy and comfortable. The neighbourhood is relaxed and friendly and there are lots of shops around for anything you might need, there is a bus to Thamel and we would usually walk back as it was difficult finding the bus on the way back. The kitchen didn’t have the mentioned oven when we first got there but this was resolved and we cooked/baked a lot during our stay. Rajendra was helpful with anything we needed, he let us do our laundry a few times and you can use the roof to relax but we were content with the private patio :) we shared a wonderful meal on our last night. We would definitely stay here again in the future!

I love this place! Riwaz was so helpful, he was here to meet me even though I arrived quite late in the evening. He's been a great host the entire time, so easy to communicate with. The space looks exactly like the pictures, the location is beautiful, super close to many temples and great restaurants, everything in walking distance. I loved staying here ✨

This charming, cozy room was located in a gated complex. There is a kitchen and bar located directly on the property that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Chef Nir will also be opening a bakery very soon. The location is one block behind the stupa and there is no shortage of restaurants and shopping. Sonam was exceptionally helpful in responding to my questions.

What shall I say about this place! It was like I was with my family; caring and protective hosts, delicious foods, local traditions, and the company of the little ones of the family unforgettable. I usually travel from city to city when I am in a new country, however, staying with this family fulfilled me so much that I did not feel the need to go anywhere else- so, I spent an entire month that flew quickly in Kathmandu. The house is located in a local area, away from the noise of the rather touristy Thamel where you see more tourists than locals. The Kapan monastery area is the best to stay at. I would recommend this homestay to anyone visiting Kathmandu as it is a genuine homestay experience.

IF YOU’RE READING THIS PLEASE COME STAY HERE! I was fortunate to meet a friend from Norway at a vipassana meditation retreat in America who had been here and told me about it. One of the best experiences I’ve ever had and a true gem of Nepal. Kamal, his wife Goma and family instantly welcomed me into their family. I had initially booked for 4 nights not sure what to expect and ended up staying for 12 and I really wanted to stay longer. This place attracts a certain kind of person and I met some beautiful new friends from America and Europe who I really bonded with over the 12 days. From the breathtaking hikes, truly authentic and homegrown meals, intimate meditation/yoga classes every morning and the most peaceful, idyllic atmosphere you could ever dream of, I’m already looking forward to coming back for a longer stay in the future. Thank you Kamal and family, you are wonderful!

A home away from home is how I will describe my stay with Shanta. Extremely warm, humble and proactively assistive host. The place reflects his persona too. Clean, immaculately maintained has everything for your convenience and more. The place, some 150 metres from the the bustle of Lazimpat Road is in a quiet locality. Within 2-4 kms of most of the sightseeing you wanna go for locally. So happy that we chose to stay with Shanta. Kudos to his hospitality. Will surely be coming again.

My son and I stayed at Rabin's unit for two weeks in February because my son was playing a tennis tournament nearby. About the place: We stayed at the unit with the attached kitchen and bathroom - the unit is exactly as in the photographs, clean, roomy and has a small kitchenette. Rooms were cleaned once a week, and fresh linen and towels were provided. What struck me the most is that Rabin is the most genuinely nice and helpful person I've met. For example, when my son's shoes gave way in the midst of the second week, Rabin personally assisted me in getting them repaired. Rabin, his lovely wife, and his wonderful parents made us feel at ease and safe - they took excellent care of us! added bonus: Rabin is a good cook!

Sanjeeb and his family are helpful and nice. House is clean and you can feel as at home. The house is near the street and you can buy anything easily by walk distance. If you like cooking, it is a very recommended location to stay. Would like to stay next trip to Nepal.

Extraordinary home with unique historic restoration filled with intriguing books, paintings, photos, Nepali furniture and rugs, gorgeous quilts. Ben was out of town but consistently available & Chechee who lives within the garden/compound was friendly & available & took great care of us & the home. Everything was convenient and comfortable. Ideal location.

The apartment is very spacious with two bedrooms and a good kitchen with everything for cooking. Taxi is easy to the city center and scenery spots. Highly recommended!

I had a wonderful stay at this cozy and beautiful accommodation. The location was perfect—convenient and close to everything. It’s a fabulous little flat with everything you need in the VIP area of the city. The family who owns the place takes lots of love and pride in making their guest feel comfortable. For a longer stay I found it just right.

I recommend all looking for a place to live in Kathmandu, Nepal, to choose Raju’s place coz it’s the best one and the host is super-friendly. The place is both peaceful and near to the hub of the city. Strongly recommended to all the Airbnb guests from all corners of the world.

If you want to stay near Patan Durbar Square with friendly host, this the best option. Orijesh is supper helpful. He allowed me to check in at 12 PM since my flight got delayed and he is very thoughtful he placed tea bags and showed me the kitchen of I would like to cook. Since I was afraid of Dog, he make sure that whenever I want outside he was there so that I would not get afraid. Aunty is really sweet, she helped me when Orijesh went for his work. The place was really clean and it is much better place stay. Thankyou Orijesh for your service.

Manish’s apartment was as per the description. It’s a cozy apartment with every facility you need. Cold evening in Kathmandu was not a problem with A/C and a heater making the apartment warm. Security was very nice. Sumit from casa deyra, was also greatwith communication. No hassle in check-in and check-out. Overall, very nice stay. Would definitely book this place for my next visit and recommend for my friends.

We had a very heartwarming, comfortable and nice stay. Chandan is helpful, asks you for breakfast, coffee or dinner (very tasty), is hospitable, responds quickly to messages and speaks good English. The apartment we stayed in was well maintained and comfortable with a balcony. There is also a beautiful roof terrace where you can enjoy the view for hours. A taxi can also be arranged for you if you plan to leave early in the morning. I highly recommend this host!
