CASTA1 - 1 BDR Apartment at the Historical Center

One bedroom apartment perfect for couples or solo travelers that want to explore the city on foot. Located just 400 meters from the main tourist attraction (el Pilar) and right next to the river, the building has been recently renovated as well as the apartment itself trying to keep the features and spirit of more than 150 years of history. Some custom made pieces of furniture for the bedroom are still missing and the photos will be upgrade accordingly. The apartment is situated in an edifice that was re-build after the Napoleon wars over 200 years ago. In 1884 the owner asked permission from the Municipality to raise the roof and add small balconies to each of the units. The exposed wooden beams are mostly original from that period. Guests have full and exclusive access to all the apartment areas. There is no lift and you will need to climb to the first floor. Parking in the center can be difficult sometimes.

We appreciated the complimentary food and drink that Javier had left for us for when we arrived. The views of the Pilar Basilica and the city are amazing. Would definitely recommend!

A unbeatable location with easy access to the historic district and all the nice restaurants nearby. The apartment is nice and clean, with two bedrooms wide apart. Modern appliances. It has everything we need. The cathedral bell starts ringing at 8am. Check-in could be made easier if photos of the entrance is provided. Free parking across the bridge is not recommended. It doesn’t look safe. We paid 24 euros per day in the nearby parking garage. Overall strongly recommend this place. Very responsive host!

I gave 3 stars for ease of finding location only because there are roadworks outside the building and it was impossible to get close to the front door, but with google maps we managed to find our way in the end. Also, the directions to the car park are a bit vague. The parking is in the underground garage of the building opposite, on the other side of the main road. The entrance to the garage is at the back of this building! I think it took us about 40 mins to work it all out but mostly because of the roadworks, which wasn’t Raquel's fault. The apartment is spacious enough, there were only 2 of us. it’s in a busy neighbourhood with plenty of bars, cafes, restaurants around. It was busy every night until midnight. The old town was a 25 minute walk away but easy enough to walk.

Thank you very much to Alejandro for his kindness and how attentive he was at all times, always making the stay as comfortable as possible. Everything is just as described in the listing, and if that's what you're looking for, you won't be disappointed. Everything is super clean and tidy and the truth is that there is nothing wrong with it. I went for the MotoGP weekend in Alcañiz and the truth is that it was just what I was looking for and needed. Those who decide to book will not be disappointed, the rating is totally deserved

We were very comfortable and enjoyed attending. We only stayed one night to sleep with my family, but it was enough to enjoy the gym, the foosball and a nice shower. Highly recommended.

A lovely stay for a weekend with friends and family (with children of different ages). The pool and garden are a plus for everyone as you can enjoy it a lot if you want to cool off and/or spend time outdoors, with swings, trampoline, barbecue... Teodoro has helped us with everything and has been willing to offer total flexibility in entering and leaving the house. He's very kind. We had a great time and enjoyed our stay. We recommend it 100%!

Fran’s place was clean & very spacious, with a lovely, peaceful garden area. There were buses nearby to the city centre. Although Fran was away while we stayed, he communicated with us well, gave us directions to the house and how to get there. His mum was there instead and very kindly gave me a lift to the bus station and my daughter to the airport on our last day. Would recommend.
