Stayed for a week in May with our 3 teenage kids, the whole family enjoyed the breathtaking views, the traditional Swiss feel, lots of local adventures We will all miss the sounds of the cow bells 😍 already planning a winter trip back, Nicole was a wonderful host and we couldn’t have wished for more

We spent three wonderful quiet days in a family and warm atmosphere. Pure relaxation! We enjoyed the teas and herbs from Astrid, which you can choose and buy directly in Astrid's organic shop. If you are looking for a quiet break in and with nature, this is the place to be!

Accommodation in the Swiss countryside with a beautiful view and access to a terrace with chairs, table, barbecue and lounge chair. The room is accessible by a staircase without a door. The accommodation has private access and a private terrace. Close to stables and hiking trails.

Lovely cosy studio, very clean and quiet. Hosts communicated well and were very responsive to requests. We appreciated their attention to details such as the option for different pillows and provision of a Swiss adaptor which saved us having to buy one.

9.5/10 Review for Max Chalet Gimmelwald Max Chalet was perfect for our family of three—a fantastic base for a mountain getaway! Surroundings: Gimmelwald is stunning, with hiking right outside the door. We loved the Northface Trail and the easy gondola access to Mürren, Schilthorn, and the valley. Parking at Stechelberg was only $10/day. Entertainment: Hiking was our main activity—beautiful trails and mountain huts. Pension Gimmelwald and Mountain Hostel next door offer meals, drinks, and great pizza (8.5/10). Food: Dining options nearby, more in Mürren, and a grocery store for essentials to cook at Max. The House: Spacious, cozy, clean, with big windows framing epic views. Well-equipped kitchen, laundry room, and a great patio. Quiet at night (bring a fan for white noise). Floors creak but didn’t bother us. Host: Marianne was super responsive and helpful. Summary: We’d absolutely stay again—9.5/10! (We’ve never given a 10, so this is top marks from us!)

Our stay at the cabin was absolutely amazing for us family of 4. The setting is peaceful and private, with stunning views that made it feel like a true escape. The cabin itself was spotless and cosy and solidly built. We especially enjoyed peace and quiet and lying on the sofa looking across at the big mountains on the over side of the valley. This hut is well equipped with good quality cooking facities, equipment and knives, and we appreciate the soldar handsoap and the washing up liquid. The host was responsive and made everything easy from start to finish. It’s close to great hiking spots and a nearby town with a shop, yet still feels secluded. We left feeling refreshed and restored and can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend this gem in the mountains.

We spent 4 nights in an absolutely ideal place to rest. The setting is very quiet, with a magnificent view of the lake, perfect for disconnecting. We had a place with an outdoor kitchen, which was really nice to enjoy the environment. The room was very good, comfortable and clean. The place is also perfectly suited for a stay with a small child: there is a sandbox, a swing, some toys on site, a high chair, a crib… even board games for family evenings. The owners are lovely, with lots of small touches that make the difference: on our arrival, fresh fruit, yogurt, beer… And for those who like their peace and quiet, don't worry, we hardly saw them The only small point of improvement in my opinion would be the addition of a small pool, that would really be the cherry on top. But otherwise, everything was great, a real slice of heaven

We enjoyed it very much in this beautiful old house. I will always remember the entrance door, because you rarely see such a great door. A very nice neighborhood, and the beautiful Swiss mountains. What more could you ask for!

Except meat Green - behind every window, beautiful greenery awaits you And then this tranquility - only the chirping of the birds Roses, right in front of the entrance - new ones bloom every day, and they smell seductively These little details - that's how I imagine a home In the night of the rain that patters on the roof - so cozy and enveloping Yes, the kitchen - everything there that delights a cook's heart, just start My goal - to experience this cottage once in every season!

We spent two nights in this house! It was amazing. It is literally a small cozy house with very beautiful interior made of wood. It was absolutely clean and everything was new. We were sceptical at the beginning about bed, but it turned out to be comfortable and solid. Me, with 1.90m had no problem. Thanks to Karin we had wonderful stay there and definitely will come back!

Kind and helpful hostess. Chalé Suiço located in a place, bucolic and beautiful place. From the balcony you can see snowy peaks bypassing a beautiful lake. You need to be in a car. There are many animals on the property. Tìpica Alpina landscape. I will miss the place.

The four of us spent a short family vacation in this accommodation and it is highly recommended! The location is quiet, rural and very nice. The farm located on the premises was one of the highlights for the children. The place was also spotless. You had plenty of space and everything you need. For breakfast or in the evening to unwind, you could sit relaxed in front of the door, enjoy the weather and the tranquility and still have the many meadows with the horses and cows in the background. Check-in and check-out were totally easy and relaxed. The host was also always very accommodating and friendly in his messages. We would always like to go there again!

We spent 2 nights here and enjoyed the time very much! The view of the countryside through the large windows is wonderful. Since it was still cool in the evening, we enjoyed the small wood-burning stove - cozy atmosphere guaranteed! We also think it's great that dogs are welcome. The tiny house is well equipped and very modernly furnished. Personally, we think it is better suited for 2 people - or max. 2 adults and 2 small children - because there is relatively little storage space for suitcases or the like. For very tall people, it could get a little "cozy" in the shower and in the double bed - the note regarding the room height should be taken seriously here. ;) We can also confirm the comments regarding the motorcyclists who ride along the nearby (but not visible) road in the morning and evening in good weather. All in all, however, there is still an unreserved recommendation from us - we will be happy to come back! (:

We loved our time at this airbnb. If you are ok with a 5min walk, yo Uber a simple but well equipped and comfortable place to yourself, one with a spectacular view and quiet surroundings. Zero regrets staying here!

The hosts were very friendly and helpful, but gave us complete privacy. We felt right at home! The neighborhood was peaceful and close to train station/bus stops. Their amenities and furniture comfort were great. Thank you!

Great location right on the lake. Wonderful amenities. Directly across from the Villette VD train stop. The house was beautiful, clean, and felt like home. The views were amazing. My husband, myself, daughter and son in law had plenty of room. It was great to be able to have a full kitchen too. Incredible trip!! Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Kate was amazing! This is by far the nicest Airbnb our family of 4 have ever stayed in. It exceeded expectations. The location was great, only 10 minutes from Lucerne and so peaceful. Very close to grocery stores too. The space is lovely and the air conditioning is so welcome because it was hot! The beds are so comfortable that our first night after our flight was our most restful. The rooms are clean and modern but also homey and comfortable. Kate was very responsive and answered all our questions and gave great advice about the local sites. I would absolutely stay here again!

Everything was tiptop. Clean, kitchen well-equipped, the mattresses very comfortable. It's a narrow mountain road to the house. For this, secluded in nature and wonderfully quiet. We will be happy to come back.

We spent very relaxing days in the wonderful house with unique views and panoramic views. It is worth mentioning the quiet surroundings and the plenty of space in the house. The chalet is very tastefully furnished, we felt totally comfortable from the first second. The drive by car was easy, the road is well developed. In 15 minutes you are in Ilanz, where there is everything you need to buy. The inhabitants of Riein are very friendly, we would have liked to have stayed longer :-)! We will be happy to come back!
