Amazing remote location camping in the mountains with fantastic views. If you like nature and simple living you should stay here! The tent accomodation is really cosy and you may even share your bathroom with a few small frogs! The outdoor shower has a great view. Amila and team looked after us really well, Amila is very friendly and kind, a great guy to talk to. The food the chef made was amazing ( even if there was so much we couldn't eat it all!), especially as we were so far in the mountains and everything has to be brought in. Shermal organised us a guide to trek up Knuckles Peak 1 and 2 with wonderful views from the top. The guide was excellent with a huge knowledge of plants, animals and birds. It can be cold and wet so we needed warm clothes and rain gear one day, but the fire in the dining area is lovely in the evening to keep warm by. We loved our stay here although it is hard to find..luckily our driver communicated on the phone with Amila to get directions along the way.

What an incredible location, hosts, accommodation, and food! I need to give a special mention to Vihanga who was an amazing host and we had some amazing conversations and he helped me immensely with arranging transport for future trips, and also arranging a tuk tuk to drop and pick me up for the day. His Mother prepared an amazing dinner and breakfast (dinner was very reasonably priced too). I loved every minute of my stay - thank you! ❤️

The breakfast was delicious and the serving sizes were generous breakfast. It is conveniently located within walking distance to Sigiriya Lion Rock. The host was super friendly and helpful. However, the photos are not accurate as they display a thick blanket on the bed and like most of the accommodation in Sri Lanka, they only provide a thin sheet. The room was spacious but a few minor additions could have made it even better such as a kettle, shower gel and a thick blanket.

Place was simple and sufficient. Host was welcoming and cooked a really nice breakfast. Overall amazing stay , would recommend.

Back of Beyond Pidurangala is located in the middle of a forest with a thick tree cover. Its evident the hotel has done its best to preserve the nature as much as possible. Walking distance to the pidurangala rock. Many beautiful lakes nearby, great food and friendly staff. Bikes can be rented for sight seeing. 5-stars for everything!!

Our stay in Kandy was absolutely beyond amazing! During our time at the accommodation, we had several birthdays to celebrate, and even though we had or originally coordinated something small for breakfast ourselves, Aruna bought us a whole cake and hung up decorations for us! We are so grateful for this family's accommodation and dedication to elevating our trip experience by just that much! If we are ever in Kandy, this is sure to be our stop every time ~ Thank you guys so much!

Alba and her Partner Manolo were great hosts: always super helpfull, friendly and attentively. They gave us good advice and helped us with organizing trips to Sigiriya, Kaudulla, Dambulla and Pollonaruwa. To visit all this sites Sat Nam Village is the best place to stay! Cause after an exhausting trip you can relax perfectly in the beautiful garden in a hammock under a tree or in the brandnew pool. And don’t forget the fooood! We really enjoyed the rice and curry prepared by one of the lovely ladies who are working on the property! It was delicious. If you need some variation they also offer great Spanish food prepared by Alba herself! We totally enjoyed our stay, would definitely come back and can highly recommend Sat Nam Village for a cultural but at the same time very relaxing stay!

Stunning views! Out of the way of busy Kandy. Just what we needed to unwind after a busy day travelling from Sigiriya. Wish we stayed longer! They can organise food from nearby so you don’t need to leave the complex. It’s up a big hill that luckily our driver could get up but everyone is willing to help with bags and couldn’t do enough for you! Will 100% return

We are so very pleased with our stay at the Sweet Cinnamon! We were two families and both the children and us adults where very satisfied with the service and food. We celebrated christmas here and it will be moment we will remember with joy for a long time. We give our warmest recommandations to stay here if you visit Kandy!

Our family was very happy with our short stay at the hideout. The hosts communication was brilliant throughout. We had contacted them before we arrived with numerous questions which they always answered promptly. The pool and outdoor area was lovely, clean and relaxing with great views from the lookout area. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the lovely chef came out to say hello in the mornings and was kind enough to make pancakes for my fussy son when he wouldn’t eat anything on the menu. We also loved the breakfast and had two lovely evening meals in the restaurant during our stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our break to Planters House. If you are looking for a little slice of heaven you have found the right place. The gardens and pool area are so peaceful and the views are spectacular. Our room was great and the bathroom lovely too - I even had a nice bath one night. The staff are kind and attentive. We were given a plan for a hike up to Lipton’s Seat from the house. It was a particular highlight for us and we would highly recommend it. The journey up to the house was interesting but once you are there you don’t want to go back down anytime soon!

Unfortunately, we more than enjoyed our very short stay. The property is not far from local streets restaurants and Mount Sigiriya is only 10min away by car. You will be welcomed with damp cloths and drinks. Extremely attentive staff. You can get in touch with staff day or night because of any issues and everything else. The rooms are wonderful. In the middle of nature, with balcony in the green. But beware, as it is very (too) clean, there is a risk at low risk in the accommodation :D very nice complex also with pool area. We were surprised that the breakfast was included! It was wonderfully prepared with an explanation about the respective (typical Sri Lankan) products. We felt very comfortable and above all thanks to the loving, attentive employees. Thanks again for that.

This place is awesome!!! close to lot of shopping places and restaurants. Right next to Kandy lake. I would highly recommend this place for anyone. Service was amazing and on point. Food was amazing. Get the breakfast!!!! don't miss out. Everyone from front desk to manager was kind and very helpful. I would definitely book this place next time im in Kandy. 5 stars!!!!!

A large beautiful house with several rooms with a beautiful panoramic view in all rooms and from the roof. Situated on a small mountain away from the city centre, but easy to get to (or order delivery in Uber) The house also has a house manager who looks after the house and can cook for you for an extra fee.

Amazing place, surrounded by nature and still an easy drive to Kandy and Ambuluwawa tower. We spend 3 nights in the wire house and would have loved to stay longer! From the first moment you feel at peace and welcomed. The design of the small boutique hotel ist really beautiful and the food is great! I still think about the hoppers and curry for breakfast. My favourite Airbnb on our Sri Lanka trip!

Really nice apartment with a very friendly host! You have a nice view on the lions rock when you eat breakfast and the pool was also very nice. I would definitely recommend going here!

Sathishka was very friendly and his place was a pleasure to stay at. Breakfast was delicious and we were well looked after throughout our stay. If you’re ever looking for a place to stay that is a bit on the cheaper side, this is it.

Where do I even begin with this magical place? First the actual place: it's located down a long winding track on the banks of a beautiful little lake. The immaculately maintained cottages open up to either the lake or a verdant forest. You are met every morning by a cacophony of bird chants. There's a huge natural boulder on the property from which to contemplate the universe. The four dogs - Dexter, Tani, Kalu, Moy - provide company on walks unprompted while the five-month-old kitten Sudhu provides cuddles on site! What makes this place truly memorable are the couple who run it - Amila's parents Kumari and Somadasa. I have rarely met such warm, generous, caring, attentive people. Kumari provides food on request and uses hyper-local produce to prepare delicious, quintessentially Sri Lankan food. Far better than the expensive local restaurants. You may be in middle of the jungle but local attractions and amenities are just 15 mins away! I hope to come back again and again.
