Unique and charming little house, "Alapetti"

Stay inexpensively, but comfortably, along the way. The cottage is located near the 4-way road and you can drive the car into the yard, next to the cottage. The courtyard is mentioned as culturally and historically significant, and the cottage was originally an ancient smoke sauna, the current interior of which was designed and implemented by graphic designer Laura Matikainen from Belgium. The toilet is an old outhouse. Hand washing and domestic water are provided. The cottage has a fridge, hot plate, coffee and water kettles, a pot and disposable dishes

Sauna cabin by the lake on the beach

A small and atmospheric sauna cabin on the shore of a clear-water lake offers a wonderful escape from everyday life. The property has a sandy beach and a swimming jetty. You also have access to a sauna, rowboat and outdoor terrace for cooking and dining. The sauna cabin has a fireplace and an electric heater, so you can stay overnight even in cooler weather. There is room for four guests, as the sauna cabin has two sleeping places on the loft and a sofa bed that can be spread out downstairs. The outdoor toilet is located behind the sauna cabin.

Hirsimökki Hietanen

Hietanen is a log building made for summer use, which moved to Hietasalmi, a peninsula between two lakes, in the 1970s. At the tip of the peninsula there is a sandy beach. The forest areas around the plot belong to the Vehkala farm. The terrain is undulating, small-scale moraine land, which in some places changes into rock or wetter depressions. Nearby you will find all types of forests. There is no real swamp in the area. A boat route runs through the strait from Vesantojärvi towards Rautalammi. The water is particularly good for canoeing.

Pihakammari (uninhabitable)

Pihakammari is located in the vicinity of Alvar Aalto's home; Aalto's experimental house and Säynätsalo town hall are within a radius of 2-3 km, and Muurame Church is 7 km from the accommodation. The experimental house can be seen along the ice route. The accommodation has a kitchen equipped with dishes, a coffee and kettle and a microwave, as well as a refrigerator. Breakfast supplies are for you, go ahead. Traditional Finnish yard sauna for rent in the summer, with swimming in the lake. There's no wifi in the chamber.

Guest house with its own beach

The guest house is in a great location on the shore of Lake Päijänne. You have a cozy room with a large, covered terrace, your own private swimming area, barbecue, shower and toilet. Possibility to rent a beautiful beach sauna. Great views of the big back. In winter, the sleds leave the yard for the ice and there is an ice hole on the shore. Nearby nature trails, Himos, Saunakylä, Petäjävesi's old church, Aalto Museum. A short distance to the main road and bus stop, you can also get there by public transport.

Sunset lakefront old-growth forest guesthouse

This newly-built guesthouse 2024 with comfortable amenities is located in a the middle of old-growth forests, with a private bay and a calm lake with sunset view. It is a place “to adopt the pace of nature”, with the sound and sight of wild nature. During the winter, a local skiing center with sledding place for kids is open for everyone, about 5km from our place. Also, you can enjoy Sauna, walking in forest, ice-fishing. Relaxing in hot tub in this landscape is truly a unique experience.

Guesthouse Aimola - Korpilahti

Spacious, peaceful and comfortable accommodation in Korpilahti. Situated next door to the soon-to-open Ainola B&B is our charming guest house. Featuring a simple, clean and comfortable interior, this is a peaceful location close to Päijänne and the village centre. Light, airy rooms - some with views of the lake and adjacent 1870s main house. Himos resort is 20 minute drive. Bookings are available for 1-4 guests. Free parking is located within 50m, and a boat berth is available.

The guest house offers accommodation for two from spring to autumn, when the night temperature is always above 5 degrees. Guests use the Main Building's ecological, water-saving dry toilet. In addition to accommodation, an additive-free breakfast made from local ingredients is available, which can be enjoyed in the Main Building or outdoors. A small cozy room on the lake, equipped with everything necessary for a comfortable stay. Spacious private terrace overlooking the lake allows you to enjoy the beautiful nature. The cottage is located in the Lossisaari Tourist Center, which offers a wide range of services: from dining in a restaurant to various types of leisure activities on the territory of the center and more!
