Very nice space, in the center of Portalegre had everything around, we will undoubtedly return.

He saw for all our needs, and as it is 2 minutes from there, if he needed him , he showed this point in no time, informed us of what there was to see in the surroundings and the industrial but quiet and new accommodation, no dog barking, especially in the night , everything was perfect I highly recommend it, if not the best I had the best I had the pleasure of meeting.

Pleasant stay for two nights in this very nice rural town with an interesting history. The apartment was clean, comfortable and had the amenities we required. Only thing I would say is that there were a few small maintenance things required that would bring it into another level. Would stay again.

Luis was a fantastic host - responsive and always of service. The lodgings were fantastic - clean, comfortable, had everything that was needed and more, and in a part of the village I found SO interesting (the medieval part). It was close to the village centre and all that was needed for a pleasant stay. I HIGHLY recommend Luis and his lodgings, and the village of Castelo de Vide for what could be described as nothing less than a STELLAR travel experience! Jaye

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The host Eduardo went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect from start to finish. Communication was prompt, clear, and helpful, and the space was exactly as described-immaculately clean, beautifully maintained, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we could possibly need. It’s clear the host truly cares about their guests’ comfort and experience. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a top-notch Airbnb stay. Castelo de Vide was a beautiful quaint Portuguese town that had loads of history, hikes and all the amenities you might need. It was also very close to Spain for any day trips.

We had a lovely stay in Castello de Vide. Eduardo and Laura were a kind, lovely and helpful couple who went above and beyond what was expected of them as hosts. The apartment was cozy, and felt like home after just a few short days - This was in no small part due to their tremendous hospitality. We would recommend staying here to anyone. I absolutely adored this place. The host has decorated this place like a home. It had bright colorful items, high quality linens, pillows and pots and pans. The kitchen is a full kitchen with a large full refrigerator and freezer so I did all my cooking there. There is a large grocery store with all possible items needed a 5 min drive away called pingo doce. The apartment is located on a side street that is cobblestone looking at a mountain, was gorgeous. In 5min I could walk into the center of town which had a lovely square and park. Within 10min walking distance of the apartment were nature walking trails that were up to 3-4hrs of walking time through gorgeous fields, hills, woods and farms. The entire area is so peacful, well maintained and restful. This is for nature lovers, those seeking history and peaceful relaxation. The host was very responsive and communicative. She came to show my personally how to use the stove and welcomed me in person upon check in.

The pictures definitely don't live up to the paradise we found. A house (NOTHING SMALL), lost on the hill, among sheep, donkeys and chickens, which transports us to a film. We wanted a quiet place, for a one-night getaway in the middle of the week, and we felt like more. Undoubtedly, it will be a place to repeat, with more time to enjoy all that the house offers us to explore: private collections, winery, walks, pool, landscape… Mr. Élio always friendly and helpful. All the people who passed by us were super friendly. And let's not talk about the homemade bread and the boleima: of eating and crying for more!
