Family-friendly vacation rentals in Cassowary

Good location to walk into the city. Apartment was clean and easy to get into. Just make sure you know what you’re getting into as there is no living room and you have to pull up the black out curtain next to the bed to leave. So it’s a bit of a pain if one guest wants to sleep while another is awake.

A great apartment in a clean and secure hotel. The central location made across to trips , resturants and the harbour for trips to Great Barrier Reef very easy. The apartment was very clean , comfortable and as described. KAy even arranged to pick us up at the airport which made arrival very easy . Would book again if visiting Cairns.

Thank you for an unforgettable stay, Jillian! Seascapes was such a peaceful place to be and my partner and I felt relaxed as soon as we arrived. I really appreciated all the little touches of home that you have made throughout the house. I had the best sleep of my life with the fresh air and soothing sounds of the rainforest, and it was just lovely to feel so isolated yet a short drive from some great attractions in the Daintree. Also, I need to buy myself a hammock now! I could have stayed in that hammock on the verandah with the ocean view for days on end haha. Thank you again for providing a welcome escape to nature.

We really enjoyed our stay at Sonia’s and recommend it highly! The resort was beautiful. The unit had everything we needed. Linens on the bed and the bed itself were wonderful. We stayed a week so Sonia provided a linen change half way through our stay. Short drive into Port Douglas where we went on the best Great Barrier Reef tour on QuickSilver. Highly recommend a visit to the Wildlife Habitat right down the street. The walking tour at Mossman Gorge was a highlight of our stay.

We had a great stay here for 5 nights. As others have mentioned the mini bar is great, well priced and very useful. The apartment was extremely spacious and comfortable, the balcony lovely, and the pool was amazing despite the rain!! We hired a car, but it is close to Cairns and the airport and it is very easy to get Ubers. We enjoyed diving on the Great Barrier Reef, Daintree rainforest, Hartley's Croc Park and Cairns Aquarium. Alyssa and Aaron were great with communication and we were so pleased that we were able to have a late check out. We would definitely recommend staying here.

Beautiful apartment and surroundings. Within walking distance to restaurants and beach. Owners and admin were very responsive to questions. Beds were so comfortable and everything was very clean. Appreciated the extra towels. Internet was a bit hit and miss and no shampoo in the bathrooms (lots of conditioner though) which may have just been an oversight. We would definitely stay again. Gorgeous home in a stunning location! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Daintree Magic, it’s hard not to love it there. It was such a welcoming environment to come in to and had everything you needed for an off grid stay. Kate’s instructions were super clear and little touches in the fridge were very welcome. We all loved cooling off in the plunge pool, enjoying the view and listening to all the different sounds of the rainforest. Thank you Kate, you have a wonderful home that we wouldn’t hesitate to revisit should we be this way again ☺️

Thanks Fab. Head a great stay at your place. Very clean. Excellent aircon and ventilation. Just what we needed. Loved the location too lots of local cafes and walking distance to the Esplanade.

Florien was extremely welcoming, right down to having ice blocks for my three children in the freezer and water in a bowl for my dog. He was very responsive when I had to text as I couldn’t work out the bbq. He maintained the property in a very unintrusuve and respectful way. Pool was immaculate and very much enjoyed by my children. Quiet and safe location. Loved my 5 week stay there. Highly recommend.

This apartment is perfect for a stay in Port Douglas. It has everything you need and more, and it was perfectly clean and tidy. The garden was very relaxing, and we ate outside every day. If I could, I would give it 10 stars!

Great location to the main strip in palm cove while maintaining privacy just a short walk away. Easy location to get picked up for excursions and using public transportation. Local restaurants were great and the Palm Cove New Years events were spectacular!

Beautiful home right on the beach front in a gorgeous location close enough to amenities but far enough away to enjoy the solitude and surroundings. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend a few nights away in Cairns.

We had a great stay at Mark’s place. It was very good value for money, had everything we needed and the communication with the hosts was frequent, clear and informative. If you stay here I would recommend hiring a car not just to visit the sights further afield than Cairns but also as Mark’s place is around 30+ minutes walk from the city centre. Also the TimTams were very well received, thank you!!

Such a beautiful home and location! The house has plenty of space to fit a large group, and is literally seconds away from the beach, a wonderful restaurant, and more. Loved it!

Had a great 4 nights relaxing after travelling up the east coast and between 5 of us the price was a really good deal

Peters house was amazing. Communication from start to finish was excellent with really quick responses to questions we had prior to our visit. There was so much space in the house and plenty of bathrooms for us all. There was everything we needed in the house to make our stay enjoyable, it was in a quiet neighbourhood and we enjoyed sitting listening to the sounds of the wildlife and watching the birds pass over the pool. Stand out has to be the amazing pool area where we spent hours cooling off after a hard days exploring. We would love to visit again. Thank you Peter.

We loved our stay here, the block of townhouses was very peaceful and the pool spectacular- the kids couldn't get enough! The accommodation was clean, comfortable and well equipped. It's a short drive into the main area of port Douglas but also there is a beautiful cafe right over th road as well as essential shops nearby.

Amazing place to stay , has all the cooking things you need and more. Beautifully planned out , stunning views and a very helpful ,responsive Host . Can not recommend this Home enough ! You will not be disappointed at all!

What can I say but wow.!! We stayed for a week with four generations. Youngest lived in the pool the whole time and we were all able to spend time together basically living in the outside area. Such an incredible stay, spacious with aircon and the most comfortable day bed to read books on while everyone was spending time together in the covered area around the pool. Four mile beach is stunning and right on the doorstep. Loved walking the beach each day and just marvelling at where we were. Brilliant, brilliant spot and hosts were super onto it. 10/10
