Overall I’m happy with the experience. We enjoyed it perhaps too much that we over used the firewood then we had to pay extra for that. There’s lots of land and amazing views. We got lucky Darin let us feed the house and donkey. The French dog Louie was so cute. Awesome experience.

Seven of us (3 adults and 4 teens- ages 12-18) enjoyed our stay over Labor Day weekend! Melissa stocked the house with games (indoor and outdoor!), linens, everything you’d need in a kitchen, and even firewood for the fire pit! We were delighted to find 4 kayaks with every size life vest we could possibly need in the garage. And the kids LOVED having a bunkhouse to themselves. We spent the weekend fishing, playing games, cooking, and enjoying a private channel off the lake. It was ideal! Melissa responded incredibly quickly and was kind and thoughtful from start to finish.

All of us were in disbelief that we stumbled upon this gem. From the kitchen to the bathrooms to the outside gardens and decks the attention to detail was commendable. Top notch appliances and walk in showers and lighting and extremely high ceilings. The house looked like a farm house built 100 years ago however the recent update gives all the modern conveniences. Beautiful hardwoods with absolutely no squeaks and no smells. We are looking to book next year!

Well appointed bedrooms, coffee machine ready to be set for the morning, and a great family area to relax in before bed was just what we needed before continuing our journey. Looking forward to coming back to relax for a few days. Appreciated how many "extras" were available for our use.

We had an excellent time at Cherish's backyard camp! The location is absolutely beautiful. Great sunrise and sunset, only a two minute walk down to the beach where you can relax in on the shore or take the canoe out for a spin. Wrap up your night with a great long fire and campsite dinner! Don't worry about being uncomfortable either. We were warm as could be all night even when it got down to 40°F!
