Jim & his wife was so over welcominv . They were so amazing human being. we had a lot of conversation and they shared their story which is quite inspirtaional. just loved their company and hospitality. Will definitely recommend people to go and check in for a peace loving place .

Our group of 11 volunteers from our monastery thoroughly enjoyed their retreat. Elijah was on site and excelled in his pragmatic and friendly hospitality. He went beyond the call of duty to assist our group feel safe and welcomed. If you enjoy off the grid and a remote location experience while still having the basic amenities, this retreat is for you. Absolutely a beautiful Yurt with beautiful views & even more beautiful souls the straw house team went way beyond & felt more like family then a staff. everything about a vacation away from redding was perfect , food . thank you so much for bringing down blankets & chairs & a table for us by the river to lay & read & relax. the cafe'is heaven & can't wait to come back for more. in love with All of it. 🤗 very blessed to gave found this place. Absolutely amazing experience for the money. It was exactly what I needed to get away and find peace. You couldn't say better things about the host because they were available with clarity every step of the way. I highly recommend a chance to enjoy that Camelot atmosphere. The yurt is truly a unique place to stay! Jim and Patricia are lovely hosts. The place is comfortable and spotlessly clean, and the fun decor adds a wonderful personality!

Had a great stay! Very easy and laid back check in process. Hosts are quick and responsive. Yurt was clean and good size with multiple sleeping options. We pushed the futons together to make one big bed and it was very comfortable and surprisingly didn’t get too cold at night. The traffic from the road was a little loud at times but didn’t keep us awake. You can hear the river from inside the yurt which was peaceful. Will definitely be staying again and for longer next time!

My partner and I spent our third year in a row at this wonderful yurt during the holidays. It definitely holds a special place in our lives now. Sally is a magnificent host. Everything you see listed is just as it looks and more. Sally is great at communicating and makes this place feel like home. I would highly recommend staying here! Far away enough from the busy city but close enough to things to do. A great place to relax and feel at peace. Put this on your must stay list!!

We stayed in the yurt for almost a week and had a wonderful time! It was very cozy and stayed warm even on nights when temperatures were near freezing. The only thing the yurt lacks is running water but Janine goes above and beyond to make sure you have water and anything else you need so it really wasn't an issue at all. The actual location is very nice too! It's a short walk into town to the restaurants and the brewery and there are lots of nice hikes in the surrounding area. I would definitely recommend Janine's place!

Kathleens yurt was amazing and in a beautiful location! She and her husband were very friendly and helpful. There were so many nice extra things like a record player with a library of records. I would definitely stay here again.

I was very impressed with how thought out and complete the yurt was. This was my first glamping experience and even though I didn’t use the sauna it was very clean. If you’re a cold plunger I would recommend adding ice! The bed was very comfortable and was a nice escape from my crazy life. You won’t be disappointed with with property.

Valhalla Cabin is in an extremely beautiful location deep in the woods of Southern Oregon. We could not get enough of the view. We greatly appreciated the extremely comfortable living room furniture, which seems to be lacking at several other places we've stayed. We were delighted by the deer that visited us and the cabin frequently. Kitchen facilities were easy to use and functional, and we had excellent wi-fi reception while we were there.This place is magical, and we would not hesitate to book again. There is a bit of a drive from Jacksonville, but worth every inch for this beautiful place. Bring your bug spray if planning on being outside for any length of time, and your camera for the friendly deer!

Their place is absolutely beautiful and incredibly peaceful! perfect for relaxing and recharging. The surroundings are stunning, and the atmosphere is serene, making it an ideal getaway from the city. Jane and Daan were kind, and attentive hosts. It was a great experience, and I would highly recommend their place to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat

What a wonderful, peaceful place! I would love to return for a longer stay so I would have more time to explore and relax. The tub on the deck is spectacular and the bed was sumptuous!

I loved my stay at the yurt! The hosts were very friendly and responsive and the check out process was super easy. It definitely got a bit cold at night. A heater was provided but I believe it did cost extra to be able to use it (for the cost of the propane) so we didn’t have it on too much during our stay. The little kitchen was super easy to use and we loved the fire pit. Very cozy and would definitely recommend!

The yurt was easy to find and the setting is simply beautiful. We very much enjoyed the ability for our dog to be outside with us as the property is fully fenced. He could explore off-leash as we soaked up the peaceful setting - having coffee on the deck, making s’mores in the fire pit and throwing around the frisbee with our kid. The bed was comfortable, the sleeper sofa less so but my husband was okay with it. The kitchen is a bit sparse - there was no pot to boil water, but we managed to boil our pasta in the electric pan that was provided. There were fresh eggs and butter in the fridge which was a pleasant surprise. The kitchen was well stocked with plates, bowls, cups and glasses. Everything was clean and in working order. Tyler was quick to respond to any questions and concerns that we had and his mother, Bonnie, was on-site for a few hours of the day for hands-on help. Overall a pleasant stay and we would happily come back.

The Sisters Yurt was absolutely perfect. The one negative was....I called specifically to see if there was a fire pit. I was told there was so we picked up firewood. There is NO fire pit near the yurt. That was not a make or break for us though. The view of the 3 Sisters is amazing!! The quiet surroundings was exactly what we needed. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen was fully equipped. We will be back, we loved the property and the yurt.

Such a cute place to stay. We mostly used it to sleep but after a long day of exploring Olympic National Park it was such a peaceful space to go back and relax at. Loved the deck on the back with the bird feeders. Personally I love hearing all the nature noises but if you are sensitive to loud nature noises such a birds, wind, or rain it may be a bit much for you so maybe plan a summer trip. Overall a really cozy and comfortable spot tucked away.

My husband and I stayed here with our dogs for two nights in June. I really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and all of the local wildlife that either live or pass through Batwater preserve. My dogs didn’t want to leave! A well thought out kitchen and common area made us feel right at home. As an easy riser, I liked the separate sleeping quarters that allowed me to enjoy the yurt without waking everyone else up. I would like to come back later this year. Thanks for a great stay!

This place is a dream Airbnb!!! We can't wait to go back. The huckleberry yurt is nestled into the trees in a way that makes it feel so private and secluded in nature - we loved the way the hot tub was covered but also surrounded by trees. You can watch the sunrise from the hot tub, and the sunset from the fire pit. The yurt is soooo nice and comfortable, we loved everything about it. We also appreciated the guidebook and the pet supplies. Thanks so much, we didn't want to leave!!

The yurt was a wonderful experience. We tried to save money by cooking at home and they had everything we needed, including ice trays for drinks. It was so peaceful outside the place and was lovely keeping the windows open at night to experience the fresh air

So comfortable and welcoming. I spent two nights in the Yurt and it was a great experience. Host was incredibly welcoming and had some suggestion to check out a local lake. Really felt like I was able to get away.

We had a sweet welcome by a farm dog who made friends quickly with my dog. So peaceful and the Yurt is next to a creek - slept soundly. The breakfast sausage, eggs and muffins a were delicious treat. Booked another night in one of the other rooms.
