Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Cartago Province

This airbnb mountain home exceeded all expectations with its breathtaking views and cozy, beautiful interior. We all had a relaxing time...the fireplace and fantastic jacuzzi made for a truly unforgettable stay. On top of that, Maria Laura was incredibly responsive, kind, and welcoming, even providing us with coffee and delicious homemade tortillas! 10/10 we hope to be back soon!

We needed a few days of rest away from the noise and routine of the city, and in this house we found a lot of peace, nature and tranquility. In addition to some super friendly dogs and access to basic services about 10 minutes away.

Quiet, just to relax and disconnect.

Communication with the host was excellent. Very helpful and responsive. The cabin was great. Kitchen well stocked. Bed was comfortable and the view was beautiful. Note that the 5:30 am morning sun comes in and the animals get up that early. If you want to sleep in, bring eye covers and ear plugs. We had a lovely breakfast on the porch looking at the volcano. Overall, it was a good stay.

We stayed at Doug's house for one night, 4 families, with 4 children. The area is one of the most beautiful in Costa Rica. It has a spectacular view and if you like the cold weather, it is the ideal place for a vacation outside the city but quite close. The cabin is super cozy, equipped with everything we needed for the needs of all families, Doug was super attentive from the first moment. We had a really good time - we would recommend it and will definitely return. We loved it!

Absolutely stunning! The photos don’t do it justice. Isabel was an amazing host. She took her time to show us around the house and give us amazing recommendations for white water rafting and a chef to come to the house. I can’t wait to come back.

Great place for a stay in the area. Alvaro's house is beautiful and very well-equipped and Alvaro quickly answered our questions. We would recommend this Airbnb without hesitation.

This is a beautiful vey nicekt decorated home. It was very comfortable for six adults. There is a restaurant within close walking distance which was excellent. If your in need of acomdations in this area this is a great place to stay.

Sara was a great host. The unit was exactly what we were looking for. It felt like a place you could settle into nicely. Would recommend Sara and the unit to anyone looking to stay in that area.

We had a fantastic stay. A beautiful place with a garden of paradise. We felt right at home. Unfortunately we were only 2 days there. Monika is very helpful and available at all times. We will be happy to come back. Thank you for everything.

Our stay with Monica could not have been better. It was the little touches that contributed to a great stay. There were fresh eggs from Monica's personal hen house. We enjoyed feeding our veggie and fruit scraps the chickens each day. The jacuzzi was just the right temperature with an amazing view of the surrounding hills. Feeding the coy in the pond was mesmerizing as they came in large numbers to be fed. The shared living area was comfortable, and the large outdoor seating area was used by us every day to watch numerous birds and identify them with an app that identified them by sound. The highlight of our stay was a tour by Monica of her lovely gardens that were filled with many plants we were unfamiliar with. We are certainly hoping that we can visit again when we return to Costa Rica.

Great Airbnb! Nice pool and gym area! Lots of restaurants in the area. Felt really safe!

We had a great stay at this property. I loved the location. Very central to many great restaurants and cafes. We stayed over a weekend and there were quite a few activities and festivals happening in the area. The pool was great and climatized. We enjoyed the equipped kitchen since we walked to Fresh Market (2 blocks away) to pick up some groceries to have on hand

The view, training room and all utilities inside the house are worthy of a luxury home, the unparalleled security and privacy of the place allows you to enjoy the fresh air and the view of the entire city of Cartago. Note: They wake up in the early morning and go out to the balcony of the master bedroom! They will thank me

Wanda is very friendly and helpful, always available for any questions we had. The cabin is very well-equipped, clean, safe and very comfortable. We had a great time and quiet!
