Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Carlton County

We recently stayed at Henderson’s Lakeview in Moose Lake. The place is very well-maintained and has been recently updated. The living area is spacious with plenty of room to spread out and be comfortable. The house is a 3-bedroom, with the Master having an en suite bathroom, while the other two bedrooms share a bathroom with double sinks. There's also a ½ bath off the kitchen. The two TVs (one in the living room, the other in one of the guest bedrooms) are connected to streaming services via WiFi and the signal strength wasn’t strong enough to allow anything to stream effectively. Fortunately, after reaching out to our hosts, they quickly added a booster and resolved the issue. The only other item to note (and I’m hoping this gets corrected) is that there is no microwave. We didn’t notice this until we attempted to heat up some breakfast items we’d brought and weren’t able to. When we are in the area again we will definitely contact Staci and Brent to book again. Highly recommend.

This was a beautiful place to stay at. My family loved the scenery. My kids loved that there was a variety of board games for them to choose out of. The hosts were very quick to reply if we had any questions. It was our very first trip up to the area and would love to come back to this place the next time!

We really loved Sarah’s cabin! We mentioned in our booking that we were celebrating a birthday, and when we checked in we found a personalized birthday card and candles for a cake on the table :) just a sweet, personal touch that made us smile. The kitchen is big and was great for cooking. The beds were super comfortable, and the whole place had great AC which was good for the hot weekend. We used the fire pit, hung out on the deck, and paddle boarded on the lake to our heart’s content. Highly reccomend a stay at Sarah’s cabin for a chill group weekend away! (“If we could give it 6 stars we would ;)” - the Birthday Girl)

There was a plumbing issue that when notified was handled quickly and with the concern needed for the situation.

The main floor Q bedroom and walk-in shower is a plus for handicapped access. The upstairs bedrooms are nicer than the photos, especially the King master suite. The upstairs Q bedroom looks out on a lovely maple tree, which must be nice in the Fall. We will stay again when we are visiting family in Cloquet. The home easily accommodated 7 adults.

This is hands-down my new favorite getaway spot in Minnesota! The views were stunning, and the location couldn’t be better—close enough for a quick day trip to Duluth, but peaceful and private enough to truly unwind. We made it back just in time to catch the sunset, and it was unforgettable. The cabin itself was spotless, even more beautiful than the photos, and filled with thoughtful amenities—especially loved the sauna. My friends and I instantly felt at home. Ten stars!

What an amazing gem of a rental in beautiful Moose Lake, Minnesota! Jennifer was so helpful and provided great instructions, and the home was beautiful and plenty sufficient for our small group. I would definitely rent this home again.

Amazing place if you are looking to unplug and enjoy piece and quiet. Cabin was amazing, property was immaculate, and Sue was amazing and we are grateful to have her host us. Highly recommend and we will be visiting again.

The level of detail Cory has placed in his home from the cleanliness and decor, to the subtle finishes and hi-tech devices made the home a real joy to stay in. Everything was meticulously thought out, organized, and considered to include YouTube videos explaining the attributes of the home. The treehouse was an adventure on its own with its own story and focus on the 5 acre property nestled between the home and outdoor fire scape. It was a lot of fun watching and reading how Cory and his family and friends designed and built the treehouse, and our kids truly enjoyed it. Finally, it was a perfect location sharing trees with Jay Cook State Park. Also, it is less than 20 minutes from Duluth. It was a perfect launch point as we explored the northern Wisconsin and Minnesota. Our three days wasn’t enough time!

Only the basics included in the kitchen - plates, cups and a few pots and pans, Cabins are close to each other so not a ton of privacy

Such a beautiful lake cabin with so many amenities! Love taking my coffee outdoors by the swing while watching the sunrise, listening to the chirping birds and sound of the water. I saw a woodpecker too! End the day having bonfires as well. Mesmerized just sitting on the couch looking at the panoramic view. So much cheaper than staying in Duluth where we planned most of our vacation and come home to this lake cabin. Enjoyed the patio from above where you can see more of the view of the lake. If only we knew how to kayak and use the boat. My cousin who came to visit truly enjoyed his stay! Host Robyn is ready to answer any question. Place is so clean, simple, organized and equipped. You won’t regret staying here.

The dock with seating was a nice feature. Much of our indoor time was enjoyed in the lake-facing front room. So much natural beauty, and a great spot for birdwatching!

Very nice clean cabin on a beautiful peaceful lake. Had all the needed convivences like Wi-Fi, TV, etc. with the rustic feel of a log lake cabin. Good fishing also! Tammie and Arron, were very nice responsive hosts!

Awesome house, on awesome property. Amy was very responsive and very easy to communicate with highly recommend! Cleanliness of the house was exceptional. Hot tub and sauna were a nice bonus too. Everything worked great!

The house was more than what we could have asked for. There was lots of space. Closely situated to everything we needed. It was the perfect location to relax and find some peace for the week with family.
