A beautifully renovated farm house that is ideal for 3 couples. The house has many entertainment areas (courtyard was our favourite) and has some unique decorative art pieces. There are lovely small touches like the water filter and bath soap that made the stay more memorable. We had a wonderful stay at De Vrede - as a plantswoman myself, the garden must've been my favourite part of the whole property. Expansive, wild and prescribed a slower temporal pace I found incredibly fruitful. The cottage itself was delightful too, where we spent most of the chilly evenings by the fireplace. Highly recommend and would most definitely stay here again!

A lovely home nestled in a quiet and picturesque location — the ideal base for exploring Tulbagh and the surrounding areas. With excellent wine estates just a short drive away and Tulbagh’s rich history and charm, it’s a destination well worth visiting. A perfect spot for a peaceful and memorable escape.

What a beautiful spot! The view is exquisite, it is very quiet and private. So peaceful. The pictures don’t do it justice. Unit is comfortable and we utilised the much needed indoor fireplace. The kitchen has pretty much all you need to make meals. The one bathroom only has a bath, so bear that in mind if you are sharing with others. A magic spot in an awesome location! Susanna was very responsive to requests. We had a wonderful time. Thanks Susanna!!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful villa in Franschhoek. The place was stunning—peaceful, comfortable, and perfectly located for exploring the area. Our host; Nora Elsa, was incredibly responsive, and made sure everything went smoothly from start to finish. A special mention also goes to Analine, she was so helpful, kind, and attentive. Her presence really added to the comfort of our stay. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend this villa to anyone visiting Franschhoek!

The house was prefect. Clean , spacious and well equipped. Elda was super nice, she was very patient and super helpful with recommendations. I had seen a review before complaining about noise, it was very quiet when we were there. We had zero issue with getting a lot of rest. We had a really good time. Would highly recommend.

This farm is at the end of a valley, there are no passing roads and visitors are encouraged not to drive the farm roads. Thanks to this, the quiet was striking; there was no noise pollution from either cars, farm vehicles or aircraft. The birds and animal sounds reign here. We heard zebra, blesbok, springbok and so many bird calls. At night, owls called. The accommodation is charming; loved the colour palette—greens, white, deep red, a warm sand—and the simplicity of the rooms and lovely art (not only prints). The stoep is the perfect place to drink morning coffee and watch the sun rise and the mountain range in front glow, and we had all our meals at the table there too. So beautiful. Best of all was the dam with crystal-clear water where we swam after our hikes. This is a real find!

What an amazing home! We loved our stay in Abigail’s place. It is beautifully curated and decorated and we enjoyed the retro hifi, great kitchen, cosy fireplace and outside spaces such as pool and sauna. Would recommend for groups of friends or special occasions but worked amazing for a small family of three perfectly too :) We will come back

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful apartment! It’s tastefully decorated, thoughtfully equipped, and had so many extra amenities that made our visit really comfortable. The host and her family were incredibly warm, welcoming, and helpful, they went out of their way to make us feel at home and gave us great local tips. We especially appreciated the extra touches to accommodate our son and baby. It made traveling with little ones so much easier. The location is convenient yet peaceful, on a quiet street with a lovely garden. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, family-friendly place to stay.

Perfect location, close to town but still far away so that you could relax. Farm is beautiful, with an amazing spot to have sundowners while surrounded by the majestic Franschoek mountains. Manager was responsive, super helpful and flexible.

I have stayed and about 60 airbnbs at least, and this is the best one I have ever been too. So many special touches and care in setting up a perfect get away. Honestly you will love this place. Hosts were wonderful as well!

We stayed for 1 night as a little break away from visiting family in Cape Town. We such a peaceful and relaxing stay. I loved the decor and the hot tub and bbq facilities were an added bonus. We will definitely be back when we visit the area again!

Our stay at the Stables house was fantastic! The place was beautiful and exceptionally well-equipped. Semma and Charl provided amazing service and clear instructions, making our experience even better. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Highly recommend!

Had a lovely stay in the cottage. You are really out in the middle of nowhere, it is quite peaceful and quiet. Beautiful views around and the stars at night were spectacular. The included game drive was great! We saw giraffes, springbok, wildebeast and some antelope on the drive. We also saw zebras while driving on our way out. The bathtub was massive. Nice towels and robes as well. We used the pizza oven and braai and enjoyed the semi catered package. Note - there were a fair amount of flies in and around the cottage and they were quite annoying but bugs were expected with the remote location. I recommend taking a SUV vs a car when driving there.

Very nice place to stay. Maybe a warning that other people are on horses around the farm and the dam is not very accessible or easy to swim in.

We enjoyed a lovely two days at Lika's spot. She was very welcoming and helpful, and was very kind to let us check in earlier than normal because the house was ready for us. Thank you for the lovely, peaceful stay.

An absolutely incredible spot, the sunrise’s are something truly special. You feel like you are part of the mountain in this beautiful and charming cottage. Surrounded by nature with no one else around it’s a completely private getaway. Star gazing from the hot-tub is a must. We loved every second and will definitely be back. Thank you very much Anso for being a wonderful host.

Bonnie and David were such lovely hosts. A very warm and friendly couple. It felt like a home away from home. The cabin was so cozy and don’t even get me started on the garden. Absolutely stunning! It felt as though we were out in nature. An absolute gem. Definitely a go to when in Somerset.

A breathtaking stay. We were honestly blown away and will absolutely be booking another stay. It’s such an incredible escape and the 4x4 track is a bit of a thrill. I was also really impressed with how well stocked the cottage was - it has everything you’d need! I highly recommend this spot!
