Hometown home

This home was exactly what we were looking for! It’s in a quiet neighborhood and super close to a ton of great restaurants and things to do. The main living room is a wonderful space to gather and the kitchen has everything needed for a short stay. The cute backyard and patio were a delightful surprise as they’re not pictured on the listing.

Guest house in town! Blocks from square

KimRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We travel to Blanco once a month and we always stay here because it is perfect! The space is in a lovely neighborhood, very peaceful! Everything we could possibly need is here. The bed is super comfortable. You are within walking distance of the town square. There is a brewery, a great selection of restaurants, and lots of fun shops! A short drive away is the Bistro on the Blanco which has the BEST Eggs Benedict on this planet!! Serenity and Justin are great people and super wonderful hosts. If you stay here, be sure to ask Serenity about the Sweet Caroline ReaperJelly that she makes and sells. OMG, sooooo good! A cracker, a slice of Havarti and some jelly, and you have a party in your hand! We brought 3 jars home from our last visit. We can't get enough of it! We highly recommend Serenity's and Justin's place!

Clarie's place was perfect! We stayed over the Thanksgiving holiday to see family. The house was spacious and the kitchen was amazing. Most short-term rentals do not have 'normal' kitchens, but this one was stocked and for once, we actually had everything we needed to cook up a feast. And did I mention the heavenly bed? Oh wait, I should mention the large, fluffy towels and super soft linens. Clarie has thought of everything! Thank you so much for the hospitality. We highly recommend this place and will look for it again when returning to the area!

This stay was just seamless from beginning to end. Judy is the most gracious host. She is an excellent communicator, both real time, as well as the notes and instructions left in the home for reference. The house was very comfortable and was just as described. The kitchen was well stocked with useful products like the wraps, baggies as well as wide variety spices and oils. Garage was such a help and peace of mind for coming and going. Neighborhood quiet and relaxing. Lots of areas to walk for exercise. This home was a perfect fit for my need while exploring the area. Would definitely stay again!

Absolutely loved this home. Thank you, Preston! My friends and I needed to relocate at almost midnight due to an issue at another airbnb and Preston responded quickly and assisted with our issues. The home is located in hills and very close to the lake. It was also well maintained and had much for us to do within the home. Will definitely book again if we are ever in need of a home for a big group.

Hill House in Wonderful Bouldin!

GregRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had a great time at Carole's place and really loved the area: close to South Congress, Barton Springs, and Zilker Park, and not far from downtown and East 6th. The house is across from a small park and creek, which our daughter loved exploring, and the neighborhood is full of beautiful houses, both old and new. The house has most everything you need and was comfortable, with good beds and AC to keep you cool when needed. It was great to have the outdoor spaces to hang out when the temps were moderate. We were looking for activities for our 8 year old, and Carole was amazingly helpful with suggestions.

Lovely 3/2 Home-Texas State Tubes/Don's Fish Camp

JenniferRating, 5 stars6 months ago
The house and the yard was fantastic. It has a large kitchen, and living area . The sofa was so comfortable, nice and had plenty seating. I now want to go buy one just like it. The kids room was great. They had a tent with toys in which my 2 year old niece. The outdoor deck and fenced in yard was my favorite. My little corgi dog was so exited to run around and go stare at the cows and neighbors dog. There is a play scape/funhouse, tree swing , and a zip line. We got to see the cows in the back twice and they are beautiful . Amber left snacks for the kiddos by and keurig coffee supplies and tea. The beds were comfy and had soft quilts instead of thick comforters. Everything was very nice and clean and kid and dog friendly .

Perfect location for our stay in Austin! Hands down one of the best experiences I have had booking a house on Airbnb. The house was clean, quite, and comfortable! Larry is very thoughtful and answered all of my questions before I thought to ask. His attention to detail, communication, and hospitality were all top notch. Flexible check-in and check-out. Just an overall good experience. Top of my list for the next trip to Austin.

You need your grass cut, you let her know and her and her Fiance come and take care of it for you!! Secondly... She allowed us to add something to her home! A fire pit! It was an ask and she was approved out ask. We bought and hope future guests enjoy it!! Also bought a few camo chairs also, for future guests to use as well!! This place is so relaxing, and close to lots of local eatery. Also not far from Lockhart which is where my husband and a few of his coworkers were commuting too. I would highly recommend too anyone who is visiting for a relaxing getaway, business. Beds are small but comfortable. Comfy bedding. Cozy couch, you'll slink right into them and cute and comfortable Egg Chairs. If you've come across this review it's because your considering the AirBnB ... Don't skip last it. It's truly a Gem 💎!! Canyon Creek Oasis/Hike to Lake/1/2 Mile To Ramp

Chang WonRating, 5 stars1 week ago

Hilltop Paradise! Valley View! King & Queen beds!

MichaelRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
10/10 would definitely recommend! The hosts were quick and so easy to talk with, and the home was just absolutely gorgeous. The inside and outside gave such a great and unique impression that screamed “Welcome to Texas”, and the beds were so clean and comfortable. There wasn’t a single issue, and my group was very satisfied with everything. The location is perfect if you’re trying to get to San Antonio or Austin, and Canyon Lake is not from the property. It was a little chilly during my visit, but that didn’t stop me from enjoying my favorite part of the home, which was the balcony. It was relaxing and so tranquil, and each level had its only balcony. When I’m back in this part of Texas again, I will MOST CERTAINLY book again without hesitation!

Delyn was managing our stay and she was a fantastic host! She brought my kiddos cookies from Crumbl for no reason. Just a surprise drop off then a text letting us know it was there. I asked for hangers, she went to Walmart and bought them, again dropping them off then texting letting us know they were there. The house was clean, organized and was easy to make it a home away from home.

Your guide to Canyon Lake

Introduction

Tucked away in the Texas Hill Country on the Guadalupe River, Canyon Lake is all about water sports. Folks flock to cabins here to boat, swim, sail, parasail, scuba dive, fish, and more. No boat? No problem: Marinas and boat rental shops around the lake offer all manner of watercraft, including pontoon boats, ski boats, jet skis, and kayaks. Families and college students come to go tubing on the Guadalupe River, and anglers enjoy fishing for largemouth bass, catfish, and, at certain times of year, rainbow trout.

With 80 miles of shoreline, there’s plenty to do on land here as well. Picnic at one of the nine parks around the lake, three of which have beaches; tee off at a lakeside golf course; or hike some of the 31 trails in the area.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Canyon Lake

It gets hot in Hill Country! The summer months of June, July, and August are regularly around 100 degrees Fahrenheit, and the weather can get muggy. Since you’ll want to spend most of your time cooling off in and around the lake, be sure to pack your bathing suit, sunscreen, a hat, and a refillable water bottle. Spring and fall are drier and much more comfortable but can still be warm enough for water sports, with temperatures in the 70s and into the 80s. Winters are short, windy, and cool, with temperatures in the high 60s that can drop down into the high 30s, and you can expect regular, partly cloudy skies throughout the year.

Top things to do in Canyon Lake

Canyon Lake Gorge

Believe it or not, the Canyon Lake Gorge was created only about 20 years ago. A major flood in 2002 caused the lake to spill over its dam and into the Guadalupe River, creating the 64-acre gorge. Book a spot on a guided tour to visit the area’s waterfalls, lagoons, geologic formations, fossils, and dinosaur tracks.

Scuba dive

Canyon Lake may be a few hundred miles from the nearest ocean, but scuba divers still love to swim along the limestone bottom in search of fish and the occasional submerged car or boat. Rumor has it there’s an underwater ghost town here, complete with a church, post office, and cemetery. And while there were two small towns here before the lake was built, no diver has yet found a trace of them.

Heritage Museum of Texas Hill Country

Walk in the footsteps of dinosaurs — literally — at the Heritage Museum of Texas Hill Country on the southern shores of Canyon Lake. The museum displays around 350 dinosaur footprints in indoor and outdoor spaces, as well as exhibits highlighting Native American artifacts and antique farming equipment from early pioneers.
