House vacation rentals in Candlewood Lake

Yanna's house exceeded all expectations. Immaculate throughout the spacious layout offered plenty of room for two families with children. My 10yo son said the bed was the most comfortable bed he ever slept in. Master bedrooms far enough apart so adults can have some privacy. Large kitchen with dining table perfect to cook and hang out. We skied at Belleayre both days (easy drive on 28) and less than 10 min from Woodstock if you want to go out. Also very close to a large grocery store. Would love to stay there again!

Truly home sweet home. Just walk in and relax. Fully stocked kitchen including milk, eggs, butter and pastries so no need to rush out to go grocery shopping. Convenient to New Haven yet completely quiet neighborhood for resting and taking walks.

We had an amazing time at Marybeth’s suite—it truly felt like a winter wonderland. Our kids had a blast "swimming" in the snow and "rolling" over the gentle hills. Every moment was filled with joy, whether we were relaxing in the sunroom, playing in the snow, or swinging outside. The time spent together as a family, along with our conversations with Marybeth and her family, was truly precious. We can’t wait to return in the summer!

Great house and great host. The place was beautiful -- big kitchen, comfortable bedrooms, great bathrooms (especially in the master bedroom), nice setup outside (jacuzzi and BBQ), etc. Perfect place for a family weekend in Litchfield. Location was perfect -- a 2 minute drive to great coffee, pastries, bread, ice cream, etc. in Bantam. Liz was an excellent host -- very helpful and responsive. We'd love to visit again soon.

An amazing location when you want to get slightly off the grid for peace and tranquility. Everything you need to truly slow down, dial out and get peace, quiet and rest. An amazing spot for a weekend getaway. If you want to find yourself amongst serene surroundings and a quiet, private wooded area, this is the place. Just enough modern amenities to be comfortable, but just basic enough to make you slow down. Tanner the host was the most responsive and helpful host of any of the airbnbs we've ever stayed. Truly went above and beyond at every turn to make our stay as comfortable as possible. More than accommodating with every request.

We had a great weekend celebrating our parents anniversary. The house was plenty big for all of us and the grounds are beautiful. Nathan was quick to respond when we had trouble navigating the AC and made sure we enjoyed our stay!

Jean was extremely friendly to let us book a last-minute stay at this home the day prior. The home is in a good location and has a nice layout, although we were only three people and did not use all of the house. One thing to note is that the heat was restricted to 70° and 72° depending on the thermostat and my elderly parents from Florida were extremely cold the entire weekend, wearing jackets and warm hats the round the clock even inside during their visit. Sadly for our group, the foliage of Fall had all disappeared save for one tree. Also, the pool was not available so we cannot comment on this. All in all, a lovely home, but definitely priced quite high, considering.

Having a current child / Cadet at West Point and also another child / graduate of West Point , we always make it a point to stay at different Airbnbs in small towns around the USMA on both sides of the Hudson River . Melanie ‘s place was wonderful. Plenty of rooms/ beds for our Parent Weekend visit. Peaceful and safe location , yet a short 20 minute drive to the Academy . We felt right at home and look forward to staying at Melanie’s place again . The house was very clean and we had no issues at all !! Thank you

I had a wonderful stay at this beautiful modern home in Wallkill, NY. Tucked away on a quiet street with plenty of privacy from the surrounding trees, it felt like the perfect escape from the city. My favorite part was the open-concept kitchen and living area, with expansive windows that made it feel like I was immersed in nature while still enjoying the comfort of being indoors. It was the ideal space to rest, relax, and recharge. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway, I highly recommend this home!

Mahmoud's accommodation was more than we could have wished for, it was perfect and had the most incredible views of the Hudson River and surrounding mountains. Mahmoud was very responsive and was able to answer all of our questions and fulfill our requests. We highly recommend his home to anyone else that's interested and we would love to make a trip back sometime in the future!

Full recommend. One of the most beautifully appointed Air Bnb's I've stayed at both inside and out. Gorgeous views and serene surroundings. Clean, comfortable and close to food & fun. One note, there is no TV - that is indicated on the amenities list - but you might miss it. So get outside when you're there!

We felt right at home in this beautiful home and surrounding space. It’s an older home with quirks, but tons of charm! It was very well stocked, with clear labels and instructions. Yanna was extremely responsive with great recommendations. Great location to explore Kingston and nearby surrounding areas. We especially enjoyed the outside space with the front porch and deck perfect for morning coffee while the kids enjoyed the hammock and tent! We had a wonderful stay in this cozy, comfortable home. We spent the weekend at this amazing farmhouse and didn’t want to leave—seriously, we were this close to moving in. Mark and Whitney were absolute gems of hosts, making us feel instantly at home with everything we could possibly need. The vibe? Retro charm meets cozy comfort. The kitchen counter was so long and inviting, it became my hangout spot whether we were cooking or just chatting. My daughter claimed the little lounge outside the second bedroom as her study nook, our family friend took over the artsy fashion studio room, and my wife fell in love with the living room—aka the evening chill zone. We shared family-style dinners in the dreamy dining area, melted into the comfiest beds ever, and just when we thought it couldn’t get better… enter the old-school record player. Dropping the needle on vinyl while we lounged around? Pure, unexpected magic. The whole place had this nostalgic, feel-good energy that made the weekend unforgettable.

Beautiful, well designed home - just like in the photos! Eli was very friendly, responsive and thoughtful, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We had a great time, especially our dog who loved running around in the woods. Eli's home was peaceful and perfect for anyone who enjoys nature. Highly recommend!

Excellent place to stay at. Truly luxurious with modern fixtures and appliances. Very clean and neat with tasteful decor. Great view in the winter, extremely peaceful and private. Driveway definitely requires AWD due to ice and snow in the winter. Tons of towels and toiletries provided. Patti and Bob were so helpful and courteous. Many great suggestions for places to eat and things to do. Very knowledgeable on the local trails. Wouldn't hesitate to return!

A lovely old home, made so comfortable. All amenities you could want. We loved being walking distance to a couple breakfast spots and the historic Stockade district.

Faisal was extremely responsive throughout our stay. we loved the indoor pool and the game tables. there was a nice selection. The rooms were nice. It was great that the bedrooms were on the same floor as the living room, dining room and kitchen. We came with an elderly person and they were able to make their way around the house. my son asked if he can use the fire pit out in back and he was able to. he collected wood from the side of the house. nice location. we really enjoyed our stay.

The Lilac House is the ultimate dream AirBnB! Kathy is the most communicative, proactive, and thoughtful host I've ever encountered. My group felt like we were being personally attended to and had a true bed and breakfast experience, despite Kathy not being physically present. The house is lovely and has everything you could possibly imagine you'd need. We had such a relaxing fantastic weekend, birdwatching from the hot tub. The area is great, with Kingston just a 15 minute drive away, and such a cool town! Rhinebeck is a bit further out but also great. Great food and hikes to be had all over.

Our host was very cool, friendly, flexible and hospitable, but what made him stand above all others as a host, was how available he was, texts were responded to in less than 2 minutes. The space and surroundings are beautiful as well, great find.
