Sitting on 1.4 acres of lakefront property, you have plenty of room to stretch out and relax. 2 bedrooms w/ king size beds, 1 bedroom w/ built-in bunk beds. Every room has its own private bathroom and door to the deck. We have a huge back deck that overlooks the property & the lake that's perfect for entertaining and grilling. 2 docks on the lake that are perfect for fishing.

We take our name from the historic draw bridge and train trestle nearby, where today the sound of the trains echoing over the water adds to a quaint feeling to a time gone by. There is a free public boat dock about a quarter-mile away.

We had a great stay at the home. Loved how peaceful and quiet the home was but still close to downtown for the festival. We had one small issue and the host was super responsive. I had two calls within 30 minutes of reporting it. Loved letting my little girl play under the covered awning.

I absolutely love this place. I’m already booking for my next stay. The surroundings were beautiful and peaceful. We were able to play our music without disturbing our neighbors. There were plenty of seating for our guest and the property had everything that we needed. There was a grill, crawfish boiler, pool table, games and more. Loved our stay.

This lake house was perfect for our family. It was updated, clean, and comfortable. It had absolutely everything we needed. The view is fantastic and our kids had a great time fishing from the dock. We will definitely stay here again.

The Bayou was clean, easy to find and checkin/checkout was a breeze. We enjoyed our stay. The hill to the boathouse is not for anyone with mobility issues. We enjoyed the canoes that were available and the host responded quickly to anything we asked. We even asked for food recommendations (cause momma wasn’t cooking on her mini vacay) and they made some great suggestions! Shreveport is about a 35 min drive and we got some good food! Now—the listing says “pets accepted” and we were going to bring our weenies, but the day before checking in, the host said they didn’t allow pets due to son’s allergies. Stated they have had issues getting AirBnb to change that on their listing. We booked for bringing our doggies, and, since it was last minute notification, the host was gracious enough to ‘allow’ it for us, but we found a last minute dog sitter, so we did not bring them. Not a big issue- but double check with the host before you book. They are having issues with the Airbnb listing!
