Beachfront vacation rentals in Cabo Verde

We had an unforgettable stay at Mr. Koen’s villa at Melia Tortuga Beach. He went above and beyond to make everything easy and smooth for us, including putting us in touch with Mr. Silvino, a fantastic local taxi driver who picked us up at the airport and was always just a message away. He and his nephew really made our trip with great tips and insights about the island. The villa itself is simply stunning. Right in front of the beach with a breathtaking sea view. It’s spacious, well equipped, and the private pool is a real highlight. Waking up to the sound of the ocean and ending the day with a dip in the pool was an absolute dream. This place is an incredible spot with excellent VfM, and it exceeded our expectations in every way. We’re leaving in just an hour, and we’re already talking about coming back. Thank you, Mr. Koen, for everything! P.S. Please consider tipping local workers. The minimum wage in Cabo Verde is only 13,000 CVE/month (~120€), and tips make a big difference.

Manuel is an excellent host, he picked us up at the harbor and even made extra rounds with his car to give us good tips regarding restaurants etc. The tips turned out to be very helpful - thanks Manuel! We were allowed to deposit our luggage before check-in time, which was very helpful. The apartment is functional and well equipped and we were able to discover the city well on foot from the apartment. Great location, close to the beach and the center. We can highly recommend!

One of the best views ever. And the sound of the ocean right out the front door is so peaceful. A 2 minute walk to a restaurant. Or a 3 minute walk. Or a 4 minute walk. Or a string of restaurants during your 30 minute walk. I could easily spend more time on the upper veranda, watching the waves come in. My wife slept upstairs in a comfortable bed while I slept downstairs in one of another pair of comfortable beds. I chose downstairs because I have a bad knee and I found the stairs to the upper bedroom problematic. Other than that “No Problem.” The local maid provided what we asked for and Luis remotely answered every question promptly. Done deal, thanks Luis. It was an affordable long weekend.

Amazing! If you don’t stay here, you are missing out on a fantastic experience. Chris and Mona are incredible. such kind, generous and welcoming people. The meals they served us were so fresh and tasty, there are also lots of fun activities like snorkelling and fishing available here. We had a lovely time and will definitely be back again! Very nice sea view, large and bright. We were there as a couple, if several parties share the apartment, it can probably get quite ringing. When we arrived the water pump was broken and we had no running water for two days. However, Ines and Rui have arranged this in a timely manner and the good news for everyone after us: now a new water pump is installed and there should no longer be a problem. We also really liked Santa Maria and had a great rest. Gladly again, also in this apartment.

Patricia and her husband offer a magnificent house with the most beautiful view! The apartment offered everything we needed - a pool, quiet rooms, a well equipped kitchen and an outdoor BBQ and all support we could think of of Patricia and her staff. All in all: we had a wonderful stay in Maio, it is really an island to calm down, enjoy nature, sun and the sea. Thanks a lot!

Charles and Sylvie's apartment is a small haven of peace where you can feel good. The environment is quiet and peaceful. We were hosted very well by Charles and Sylvie, who were very kind, giving very good advice and accommodating. We recommend the accommodation to discover this beautiful island of Santa Antao.

I had a fantastic stay at Nina’s apartment in Santa Maria! The location is perfect. The apartment itself was clean, cozy, and had everything I needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. You can tell Nina really cares about her guests – communication was smooth, she was super helpful with local tips, and made check-in a breeze. If you're heading to Sal and want the ideal spot to unwind and enjoy the beauty of Cape Verde, Nina’s place is it. I’d come back in a heartbeat. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay in this lovely apartment with a beautiful location right by the beach. The veranda was a real highlight, offering a great view of the lush garden, the pool, and the sea. We truly enjoyed our time here and highly recommend it. Nina was a fantastic host – very welcoming and easy to communicate with.

Fantastic stay with amazing views The apartment was in perfect condition, very clean and well cared for. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom spacious and the spectacular views. Communication with Gabriele and his team was excellent. They were always attentive and everything I asked for was provided with taste and very good predisposition. As an improvement, it would be helpful to have a clothes rack and a washing machine. Also, the WiFi sometimes doesn't work well. The place is somewhat far from downtown, so it is necessary to move by taxi. Even so, the experience was very good and I would definitely come back. ⭐⭐⭐⭐½ (4.5/5)

A fabulous apartment, small complex with pool and direct beach access - just as described. Peter was a great host - met us on arrival and gave lots of helpful local tips. The apartment was spotless, very comfy bed, and had everything we needed for our stay. Really recommend it and Santa Maria is beautiful! Thank you 🤩

The village had already been in Santa Maria and this experience managed to be better. The house is the same as the pictures but I wasn't worried about this point because I wanted to enjoy the city more. The location is one of the best, in front of the beach and three minutes from the center. Super safe place, I always walked at dawn and even alone and never felt unsafe. At the same time, it is a safe place and a family environment. I loved it all and advised! I'll be back soon!

The communication with Rachael went smoothly. She was also very accommodating to us in case of concerns and took care of our concerns very quickly. The apartment is right on the beach and coffee, with a mini shop was right around the corner. For 1 week, 2 rolls of toilet paper were a little too scarce,but I don't know if we asked if we had got 2 more rolls. Otherwise very cozy, we would come back here. Thank you

Ideal space for a quiet vacation outside the confusion of the tourist center. Pleasant 15-minute walk to the center along the sea side wall. Quiet and safe.

A great apartment with space for 4 people. Great view of the sea and beach. Quiet location at night and yet very short distances to the beach, the center, shopping and restaurants. The kitchen is well equipped, even to cook for yourself. We stayed there for 1 week and felt very comfortable. The construction site in front of the house has already made some progress, so it is to be hoped that the temporary construction noise will decrease. The communication with Katja was excellent and the on-site support (Adrian) also supported us very much and provided us with very good recommendations

Liliana is a very heartwarming host, quick to respond to your questions and helpfull in aiding your trip around Saõ Vicente. Couldn’t have wished for more. About the appartment. It is located right on the sea board. A beautiful and tranquil place to enjoy the ocean, read a book and at night you have an amazong view of the stars. There’s a garden with a lot of shade and place to relax. Right next door there’s a small turtle sanctuary and you can make a roundtrip by foot around the vulcano. So enough to do for everyone. Inside the appartment is very clean, tidy en cozy. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Great place with a great view! Quiet and peaceful. The only thing i would suggest is change the single beds to doubles. They are to small for adult size people. Other than that it was a great stay

The studio provides all amenities for a comfortable stay. It has some extra items that are very useful: spices and spices, tea, dishwash detergent… The washing machine is particularly important for longer stays. It has a very inviting outdoor space. The location is the best of Santa Maria, close to everything, but calm enough to relax: on top of the beach, excellent pool with always available loungers. The condominium is very quiet, has privacy and the security guards are attentive and friendly.

Apartment with an excellent location, next to the famous pontoon, on the 2nd line of the beach, next to the main pedestrian street of Santa Maria. The only if not is the noise of the rental of motorcycles that is underneath, audible in the rear of the house but for those who leave in the morning and return at night, will not feel this problem. Nearby restaurants at the price of the Portuguese (between 5 and 15€ pp) and supermarkets (Chinese at prohibitive prices). Táxis in door. Host always available and responsive. I will again choose this site.

What a wonderful place Luciano has created! Beautiful spacious apartment with amazing views across the sea and bay, and easy walking along the beach to the village. And Palmeira - what a fabulous village (a true taste of the ‘real’ Cape Verde) really lovely people, and amazing fresh fish at the Rotterdam Restaurant. Luciano is a lovely host, gave local recommendations, sorted transfers from/to the airport (and even let me use his washing machine!) This was the third stay for our first trip to Cape Verde, and totally made it!! If you are looking for something different from the ‘All Inclusive’ and more touristy areas of Sal, then would absolutely recommend this place - it’s just gorgeous.
