It is my third trip in Japan, I have stayed in probably 30+ different accomodations in this country. This is so far the best experience I have had. Taiji-san is a real chef and is a man of honor, my family and I feel grateful for this moment. Thank you Taiji-san, your mother and your grandfather!

Shimonoseki TK (Take) Base 202

Superb stay at Takenaka’s place (TK Base). We had a group of 7 adults and 2 kids (4yo and 1yo) the house is huge and it fits us all! Each room has its TV and there are lots of common spaces (huge living room with huge TV, a comic reading area with chairs, and most importantly, 2 showers! The amenities were well equipped, and it feels like home. The host just lives next door so he was able to help out anytime during our stay. He is super friendly when we arrived and he gave us a warm welcome to his place. It is at the top of a hill in the nearby area. The place worth every penny. However, I would only recommend it to people who will be driving. Otherwise it would be too remote to go there. Thank you Takenaka for your arrangement.
An open living space features a modern kitchen with a sleek island and a dining table with four chairs. A spacious sectional sofa with neutral-colored pillows provides seating. Large windows allow natural light to fill the room, while concrete walls contribute to the contemporary design.

Ryokan-Style -80sq / Orio | Families & Groups

It is a great choice for the experience of staying in a family home in Japan. It is worth recommending when staying with friends or adult families, and it is a bit unfortunate that it is a completely residential area in terms of walking, but it is recommended for those who come by rental car. However, the parking lot is smaller than expected, so it is difficult to park a large car. I think you should check the parking size in the description. There are quite a lot of grocery stores and shopping malls within driving distance. The building is on the old side, but the convenience part was well remodeled, so there was nothing very uncomfortable. Please note that the water pressure in the shower is a little weak (regular faucets are not bad)

Excellent access to Hakata station! You can relax and stay in a quiet residential neighborhood!

The first time I stayed in a Japanese home, I was a little nervous at first, but when I stayed, I found that the two hosts were very polite and enthusiastic, and the room was very clean and comfortable. The host also took the initiative to ask me about my check-out itinerary and enthusiastically asked if he could drive me to the JR station. I was very satisfied with this stay.

I was able to have a happy time in a really nice house. The interior of the house is spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the sun shines well in the well-organized small garden, balcony? You can sit and have a good time. I think it's even cooler than the picture you uploaded. And most of all, the kind and caring host left the most impression:) The hearty breakfast you made and the short conversations were so enjoyable! I was grateful that they actively looked for nearby attractions or restaurants even when I casually asked, and thanks to them, I was able to have a meaningful local trip. <It's a place I definitely want to go back if I get a chance. I highly recommend it.♡
