At walking distance there is an outdoor swimming pool, hiking forest Vosbergen and beautiful estates such as "the Braak" & "Vennebroek". Here you can go hiking and biking. Stay in our cozy renovated barn house in the heart of the green village of Peize, located near the beautiful nature reserve of the Onlanden and within cycling distance of the bustling city of Groningen. Our sustainable barn house has all the comforts and offers views of "de Peizer Molen". Enjoy a delicious dinner at our neighbors; restaurant de Peizer Hopbel and cafe-restaurant Bij Boon. Also within walking distance: supermarket and bakery!

In the cottage you live basic, close to nature in a wonderful hiking and cycling area, in a large, nature-rich place: vegetable garden, just landscaped food forest, flower gardens & pond are ecologically managed. There are a few pets (dog, chickens, running, bees). The refrigerator is underground and the composting toilet an experience in itself. The whole is made as environmentally friendly as possible and an invitation to live simply while respecting nature. There is a wood-burning stove.

Our B&B offers you a spacious apartment (45m2), lockable, on the 1st floor with private entrance. This makes contactless stays possible. Kitchen with 2-burner stove, oven, microwave, fridge, coffee maker and kettle. Through the landing, you enter your own bathroom with sinks, shower and toilet. The private entrance is on the ground floor. If you come with 3 or 4 persons, there is a second living/bedroom in the apartment available (25 m2 extra) Pets are allowed only after consultation.

Deze for-rest cabin wordt omgeven door bos en zandvlakten. Vanaf de riante overdekte veranda heb je fantastisch uitzicht op de grote bostuin, die wordt omgeven door natuurlijke afscheidingen en veel privé biedt. De ligging is rustig en op 10 minuten lopen van het centrum, de gezellige terrasjes, restaurants en winkels. Vanaf de for-rest cabin kan meteen worden gestart met meerdere wandel en fiets routes die duidelijk worden aangegeven.

De Hofstee

Geniet van groen, rust en natuurgeluiden in deze in scandinavische stijl verbouwde koeienstal. Met prachtig uitzicht over ons voedselbos kun je de hele avond genieten bij de knusse kampvuurplaats. De zonsondergang kleurt de lucht terwijl vogels zingen. Struin door het weiland en spot wilde dieren. Een plek om gewoon te 'zijn', weg van de drukte. We verwelkomen je graag om onze plek buitenaf met je te delen!

From your bed, you can look into the garden or the woods.

Welcome to Donderen, a nice village located in the head of Drenthe. Close to the cities of Groningen and Assen (both about 15 to 20 minutes drive), Eelde airport (about 10 minutes drive), the cozy villages of Norg and Zuidlaren, National Park Drentse AA and nature reserve Noordscheveld. Ideal base for cycling and hiking trips. The accommodation is less accessible by public transport.

Chateau Weiland is a lovely bright cottage with its own entrance plus views of the greenery. A good bed and nice shower. Equipped with all comforts such as well functioning internet (fiber optic) , an air conditioning,and a kitchenette. When the weather is nice, you can open the doors to the terrace and enjoy the sun on one of the sunbeds in the garden.
