Kid-friendly vacation rentals in British Virgin Islands

We had a perfect week staying at Smuggler's Cove and visiting the BVI. This house was a perfect jumping off point for all our adventures. The house and views were beautiful, the property managers greeted us at arrival and were completely welcoming to the Island. We had 8 total in our party and the house was easily large enough for everyone. Out of all the places we have stayed travelling, this house is at the top due to the quality, beauty, and attention to detail in the design! Highly recommend!

Karen and Nigel are gracious hosts that go above and beyond. They have created a relaxing, welcoming home for your stay. Words that come to mind : Convenient but feels remote, breathtaking views (high enough to look into the bay but still feel connected to the action), extra extra clean and immaculate, perfect house layout, caring and attentive hosts, luxurious, concrete-walled quietness, safe and secure. Safety is so important to us. Their home was built with love and hard work, and it shows! A true tropical heaven!

Breakfast tacos on the covered patio was a wonderful break from the wedding festivities at Long Bay Beach resort. Fresh flowers were a lovely greeting. The air conditioners worked quickly! We were bid goodbye by a beautiful view of a double rainbow over the bay from the upstairs bedroom balcony on our last morning. The stairs made getting to and from the resort for wedding activities a breeze. Thank you, Sophie!

Meade was very accommodating! If you want a hassle-free experience with friendly folks, you can't go wrong with this booking, and Meade was helpful by meeting us at Souper's hole in the West End. We really enjoyed the stay....will be back!

We had a wonderful stay at Thomas’s place! The location is unbeatable—just a short walk to Long Bay and a reasonable distance from Smuggler’s Cove, our favorite beach on Tortola. The home was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed, and the beds were very comfortable. You may be hard-pressed to cook a big meal, but the kitchen was fine for making breakfast, which is all we did there. A shower curtain in the upstairs bathroom and a window curtain in the middle-floor bedroom’s bathroom would have been helpful additions, but overall, we truly enjoyed our time here.

Flame Villa is nothing short of paradise. The property, view, beach, and access to the resort amenities were 5 star. It was peaceful, and private, but could easily access the club and restaurants by foot. Communication was outstanding and the house was very well appointment. We wanted for nothing except a longer stay! We will be back for sure.

This is our first stay at Stargazer since Irma. We have stayed here a number of times. The restoration post Irma was very well done and there were a number of improvements which enhanced our stay. The main living area was opened up with expanded windows and doors and included a wet bar area. In our stays pre Irma we hardly used this room but spent most of our time in this room and surrounding decks during this visit. As noted in other reviews the drive up and down to the house requires diligence but it is less than 10 minutes. Basic boating skills are also essential during your stay. The house has all new bedding and outdoor furniture and is very well equipped and a true experience of what the BVI'S were like before they were "discovered".

Our stay was great! Had the whole family plus grandchildren! Very open lovely living / dinning space. Great kitchen with all the small appliances you would hope for! Terrific caretaker! Friendly! Removed garbage daily! Amazing views!! Very comfortable bedrooms! Beds were great!! Truly enjoyed our stay and hope to book again for next year! 2 weeks in February please!!! Thanks!! :))

The place was as described and advertised; very quaint cottage located close to Road Town and restaurants and shopping. Also close to the ferry terminal for easy transportation to other islands. If you want to buy groceries, the store is about a 10 min. walk. Communication was timely when we had questions. The interior was comfortable for 2 people with space to move around and everything was clean. We didn't cook anything, so we have no comment; but we found everything we did need in the kitchen, it was well supplied.

Great spot! If you want quiet and to get away from it all this is the place to go! I loved their cat…he came by every morning with his big meow and slept with us one night. 🤗

I had a good stay here. The place was clean and AC worked wonderfully. My only thing to note that the property is quite isolated. No access to anything back walking. If you’re trying to get to/from a ferry or Road Town you will need to have transportation each way.

Dian (the local host) was wonderful! I felt right at home and comfortable in the space. It’s very close to town and I didn’t hear any noise whatsoever during my stay. I loved the location (it’s not on a hill). A great place for travellers and those looking for a more genuine local stay. Loved it.

First of all, the hosts are amazing. Patricia followed up throughout my stay without “hovering.” Alphonso greeted me with patience (it was a long day of travel and my brain wasn’t functioning on all cylinders!) and a big smile. He suggested we get takeaway from Sebastian’s, an easy walk, before they closed for the evening. The food was delicious. The chicken wings are definitely hot…just as I hoped! Settling in was easy. I immediately felt relaxed especially on the porch listening to the neighborhood settle in and then for coffee the next morning. The beach at Apple Bay is clean, private, the water is stunning to look at and refreshing. Patricia and Alphonsos place is ideal for anyone who appreciates immersing themselves in an off the beaten path location. If you yearn to explore everything Tortola has to offer you can also rent a car directly with Alphonso.

Great place and great host!

Mario and his wife were really what a Superhost always should be. Firstly, even that my ferry had a one hour delay they picked me up. Every morning Mario would have a chat with me with an italian espresso. They even took me to dinner on another island. The room was stunning (and yes there was warm water) and the view incredible. The road is a big bumpy, but I had a scooter which worked brilliantly. I would ALWAYS stay again with Mario and would HIGHLY recommend booking this AirBnB. That you very much for this wonderfuel, lovely, and local experience!!

Place is great for a couple to enjoy long bay. 5 minute Walk to two restaurants. spa is just a 2 minute walk. Dipping pool and patio even better than the photos!

Beautiful condo just steps from the beach. The beach is beautiful appears to be for the use of condo and resort guests only and I don’t think there were more than five people on it the entire time we were there. Highly recommend this co do if you are looking for serenity.

Ronald’s place was the perfect spot for our quick trip. It was easy to find, and we enjoyed sitting outside on the balcony each morning with coffee and each night with a glass of wine. Ronald was a great host!

We had an excellent 4-night stay at Kayana’s place. This is a newly refurbished apartment with brand new appliances, furniture, bedding, etc. we found the apartment quite luxurious. It is in fact much nicer than the photos in the listing and is quite spacious. There is a private parking for one car right in front of the balcony. Kayana was an excellent host and made our stay even more enjoyable by her hospitality and caring attitude. On the very first day we had an issue with our rental car. Kayana volunteered to give us a ride to the Road Town supermarket, waited patiently while we shopped and drove us back. Overall we had an excellent stay at Kayana’s place and highly recommend.

My best friend and I came for our 1st visit to Tortola, and we love Elms and Cane Garden Bay! We stayed in the Star Apple Suite, and it was perfect for us! Plenty of room, clean, and amazing balcony with wonderful views! Elvet was kind and helpful, and the live music a couple nights a week and the ribs were amazing! We loved many restaurants in CGB, and it never felt overcrowded to us. We will absolutely be back, and definitely stay at Elm Beach Suites!!

Shan’s place at Tobacco Wharf was ideally suited for us - very central, near to Road Town (shops, restaurants, banks etc) with easy access to most parts of the island. The apartment is well set up, clean and very spacious. In its one bedroom format, which as a couple was just what we needed, there was more than enough space with a good size bedroom and the use of two shower rooms. Thanks for a great stay.
