Family-friendly vacation rentals in Brighton

Staying here was the weekend getaway of our dreams! We did a puzzle, used the hot tub, and went on plenty of walks. If you truly want a weekend without phones or other people, this gem right off the beaten path is for you. I will say the roads to get there closer to the dome are dirt, or in this case mud because of the rain, so do come with a car that can handle the mud. We will be staying here again for sure, can’t wait for our next visit. Thank you for having us!!

We had a lovely and relaxing stay. The cabin and surrounding property are beautiful, and Evangelyn was a wonderful host. If you’re looking for a peaceful, “home away from home” getaway, this is just the place.

Home away from home! Susan was a fantastic host. She was very responsive and communicated quickly. This home was perfect for our group of 6 and it was extremely cozy! This was our first time in Vermont and it definitely exceeded all of our expectations. If you looking for a pleasant place to stay with amazing views, look no further than this adorable Airbnb! We skied in Stowe, toured the Ben and Jerry’s ice cream factory down the road and enjoyed some live music at the ZenBarn. I would highly recommend this property! We hope to visit again soon :)

Maxime's place was fantastic. So close to the main street in Sutton, great view of the mountain, so close to skiing. All of that in a quiet setting. The house gets great light from big windows and the hot tub was the perfect way to end the day. Maxime was super responsive and accommodating. I'm looking forward to staying here again.

Steve's place was great! Reasonably close to Stowe, easy to check in and out, and as described in the listing.

Awesome apartment, in an awesome little town. Host was excellent and even offered early check in, no issues with communication. Would stay here a million times over. Great coffee shop and bar right below you. No issues with parking as well. Only thing to note since it is a coffee shop and near a main road you do get some noise (deliveries, plows, etc.) but nothing that bothered us too much.

The cottage was cozy and peaceful, perfect for a winter weekend getaway! There was about 3 to 4 feet of snow on the ground but the stove kept the cottage nice and warm. The area was beautiful and we had a great time! We highly recommend staying here if you're visiting northern Vermont!

Sally was extremely responsive when it came to communication, and her binder gives you everything you could possibly need to know about not only the house but the whole area in general. She is an amazing host

We had an absolutely spectacular time staying with Gerette! Her beautiful cabin was everything we hoped for and more. Our golden retriever had the time of her life bounding through all of the snow!

We had a lovely time at this quaint mountainous home. The neighbor nearby had some horses that grazed near the home every morning and the vistas in the distance were incredible to see. We would love to come back again next year, maybe during the more peak foliage season. Thank you all so much for your hospitality, especially for providing us an extra night!

loved the place. we were there to snowmobile so it was perfect. we trailer our sleds so I can't comment on trail access from there but I was told there is access. The only thing I have to mention is with the heat set on 65 degrees it still kicked on at night and made both bedrooms warm and woke us up. it was nice and cool in the rest of the house.

This rental was lovely and welcoming. It was well appointed and easy to be at home. I appreciated the art on the walls. It was very cold when we visited and flannel sheets on the bed made it very comfortable. We look forward to staying again during mountain bike season.

Claudia’s cabin was exactly as described- a private little cabin in the woods. The house was adorable, cozy, and close enough to Stowe for skiing (about 25 mins to base). The only minor issues I had were the use of the beautiful soaking tub (unusable due to water pressure/temperature), the temperature of the first floor bathroom( cold), and the amount of dog hair throughout. Disclaimer, I travel with my non-shedding dog so I’m not used to seeing dog hair on my clothing, and perhaps it was the previous renter who had a long haired shedding dog, but it was everywhere- couch, beds, cozy chairs, floor. Came home with hair covered clothing. There’s a sign by the door that says “no outfit is complete without dog hair”! These issues were not enough to complain to Claudia about, because as I mentioned - minor- everything else was spot on. She even had snacks in the fridge. Do bring extra toilet paper and paper towels if you book. I couldn’t find any. Otherwise, great stay.

Apartment in a very good location. Everything is there to ensure you have a pleasant stay. Charlene is responsive when asked.

Wonderful Stay. Perfect for skiing at Jay. Wonder spot to relax by the fire and wake up to the view. Judith was helpful and responsive. Hope to come back next year!

Just awesome. Slopeside access, close to Tram Side and right on Grammy Jay which was easy for the littles to get the day started on the way to the double. When it was cold (once) we used the fireplace and the condo warms up quickly. Plenty of hot water. A near perfect stay. Fantastic!

We had an amazing stay, this trip far exceeded our expectations and staying in such a nice place made everything so much more enjoyable. This spot was the perfect mix of private and secluded while still also being very close to Stowe, and Johnson. We were able to complete everything on our itinerary while also being able to come back every night to a beautiful home with everything we needed. It was very nice to be able to sit down with family we havent seen in so long and enjoy an amazing home cooked meal or play some board games. Thank you Kristin for your amazing hospitality. This has made Vermont one our favorite states to visit. We will definitely be back.

Stayed at Mike’s place for 3 nights while skiing at Jay Peak. Ideal location and was just the perfect layout and space for my party of 6. Even with 3 adults and 3 kids there was still plenty of extra space for additional guests. Some nice restaurants just down the street towards Montgomery. The space was also ideal for cooking in and enjoying time with everyone. Have been to Jay Peak often and would certainly be interested in renting again.

We enjoyed our family stay very much. The place is intimate and we enjoyed the fireplace, spa and sauna. Kitchen is large and well appointed to cook for multiple people.

Had a great experience. The place was easy to get to and was happy to find complimentary snacks at the house after a long ride. My friends and I were provided exactly what we needed before a day of riding at Jay Peak, which was less than 10 minutes away. Appreciate the clean linens, comfortable sleeping areas, bath towels, and Netflix subscription. Will keep this stay in mind for my next big group trip to Jay.

We had the most magnificent view of Willoughby Notch. Carl needs to showcase that more. The place was very comfortable, and Carl was easily reachable if we had any questions.
