We discovered our cottage in the beautiful Westerwald by chance in 2019 – and immediately fell in love. Between March 2020 and August 2021, we transformed it with a lot of passion and attention to detail into a place where you can relax and recharge your batteries. For me – Janine, a trained hotel manager – it is particularly important to bring people closer to the small and large beauties of life: through time for themselves, with the family or simply in nature. Whether alone, as a couple or with children: our cottage invites you to switch off, feel, pause. A place to find yourself (again) – and to celebrate life.

Ohren - An oasis of tranquility in the countryside

An unique tranquil living space can comfortably accomodate 2-7 persons. Furnishings include queen size beds, bright pool room and an inviting bar. Glass doors open up onto wooden terraces and a koi pond. An adjacent grill under a vine-covered pergola overlooks a large (1400sqm) well-kept garden. It has a private entrance with ample parking. We live on the top floor of the house, but we give our guests their space and guests have most of the garden to themselves. Easily accessible from the A3.

The surrounding area invites you to enjoy nature: whether it's walks, bike rides, or simply some peace and quiet, you'll find the perfect retreat here. At times, you will be greeted by our alpacas, whose pasture is right in front of the terrace.

The small art remise along the Weiltal and Weilstrasse in the Taunus is a small 55 square metre cottage on a former mill estate. Heated exclusively with wood, the shed invites you to linger in a cosy atmosphere or to explore the Weiltal or Lahntal by bike. On the property right next to the stream you can meet dogs, cats, chickens and even the occasional egg. Most recently, the remise was used as a studio, and now art objects by regional artists continue to enliven the space.

Half-timbered house with loft bed

A small half-timbered house sleeps 4 - 5 people. On the first floor are the entrance area and the kitchen, upstairs the bathroom, the bedrooms and the living room. The bedroom has a double bed, 180 cm. In addition, there is a loft bed level for two people, 140 cm above the living room. In the living room, there is a sofa bed for 1 person. The ladder to the loft bed cannot be removed or locked. You should consider this if you want to travel with children.

Up to 4 people can be accommodated in the cozy house and benefit from a fully equipped kitchen, a living room, 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. The upper bedroom is designed as a loft. You will occupy part of the house and use it for yourself alone. Living-dining area and kitchen are located on the first floor. As well as the bathroom with toilet and shower. On the 2nd floor you can use 2 cozy bedrooms. (Bed each 160 x 200 cm) On the 2nd floor is another bed (180 x 200 cm) The bus stop is just a 1-minute walk away and Frankfurt is about 30-40 minutes away. Parking is available at the house.

Thanks to the high-quality furnishings and some extras such as an infrared cabin, wood-burning stove, sauna on the terrace with an outdoor shower, large terrace overlooking the forest and much more, our vacation home is the ideal place to relax and unwind.

In 2018, we lovingly renovated and modernized the guest house, an old half-timbered house on our farm. In the countryside and only 30 km from Frankfurt, this is the perfect opportunity to unwind and enjoy nature.
