Alexandre’s place was large and spacious. There was plenty of room for the 3 of us. And then some! I loved the self check-in option. We managed to find parking although it wasn’t clearly marked. There were several restaurants to walk to in the area. We ended up at O Copinhos, a small restaurant with authentic cuisine from the area and a delightful lady who treated us so well! I appreciated how responsive Alexandre was to my questions. Would recommend!

Adoramos a nossa estadia. Somos um grupo de 3 casais e 2 filhas e ficamos surpreendidos com a casa, tudo muito estimado, limpo e com um cheirinho tão agradável. A casa tem tudo o que é preciso, uma cozinha totalmente equipada, vários espaços para comer e estar, interior e exterior, a piscina e o espaço exterior super agradáveis. É uma casa com charme, antiga mas impecavelmente restaurada, adoramos a entrada, a escadaria em madeira, os móveis antigos… tudo impecável. A zona é muito calma, com uma mercearia pequenina, mas com um bocadinho de tudo e pessoas muito simpáticas, pão à porta. Adoramos a zona envolvente, a Elisa indicou-nos uma praia fluvial que é simplesmente magnífica pela paz, tranquilidade e uma água tãaaaao boa. Resumindo, foram uns dias maravilhosos, a Elisa é uma anfitriã muito simpática e prestável, a casa é magnífica e a zona muito boa. Recomendamos e certamente voltaremos.❤️

Passei dois dias magníficos com a minha família à Casa dos Vinhais. O anfitrião, o José, é muito simpático, atento e prestável e fomos optimamente recebidos por ele. A casa é realmente especial com os móveis e louças antigas da família com a sala muito agradável e os quartos muito queridos. Aqui sente-se e respira-se a história. A vista da casa para o rio Douro é linda e nós não pudemos aproveitar para banhar no rio mas, nos meses mais quentes, daria para aproveitar bem o exterior. Podemos pedir para fazer o jantar lá em casa e o bacalhau com natas e a alheira preparado pelo José e Graça foi divinal. Para além disso, o pequeno-almoco está incluído na estadia e é mesmo delicioso! Espero voltar de novo aqui a esta casa. Obrigada por tudo!

A casa corresponde exatamente à descrição e às fotos, luminosa, bem decorada e com tudo o necessário, já as vistas são ainda melhores que nas fotos. Sem dúvida a parte do Douro mais livre e bonita, longe da confusão e da sobre-exploração turística. O acesso ao rio está a uns 8 min a pé da casa e se a temperatura o permitir, ótimo para banhos. As camas são confortáveis e a casa tem uma boa exposição solar e isolamento térmico, mesmo que lá fora pudesse estar mais fresco a casa era naturalmente quente. O Mário foi sempre disponível e prestável e está numa casa maior mais acima, a umas dezenas de metros. Gostámos muito da localização, da casa e de voltar à terra dos nossos avós, recomendo vivamente e vamos certamente voltar mais vezes.

I was extremely impressed with the host friendliness as well as the apartment itself, great location, easy walk from and to restaurants, bars, coffee shops as well as the historical part of the city (castle and villa). The apartment was super clean and organized with all the amenities that a person might need. Amazing view from the windows and balcony, lots of natural light all day. I will recommend and look forward to be back to this amazing city and stay with the most friendly host Sr. Jorge.

Mario ha sido un anfitrión excelente y nos ha hecho recomendaciones muy útiles tanto de planes para hacer por la zona como de sitios para comer. La casa me ha sorprendido gratamente, es sencilla pero no falta de nada y ha superado mis expectativas. Conserva la esencia de cuando se construyó en los años 60 y eso le da mucho encanto. Además tiene un terraza exterior donde poder relajarse disfrutando de las vistas y de la tranquilidad de la zona. Sin duda volvería a alojarme aquí.

This house is exactly as described and a perfect peaceful getaway. The view is incredible. The house is well proportioned with three large double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. We had an extra camp bed put up in one room, and there was also a cot in there (although we didn’t use it). Efficient air conditioning and nice kitchen. There isn’t anything else in the area but this suited us just fine! Nearest shop is in Albondega De Fe (10 mins) bur a proper supermarket is in Mogadouro (20 mins).
