Dear Hortensia, We had a very good Holy Week at your house. The house is beautiful and does not lack any detail. We were very comfortable and felt right at home from the moment you came out to greet us and show us where the house was. Your kindness, affection and goodness have made our stay an incredible experience. You even invited us to eat roast chicken at your house and gave us typical local products to try. The house was pristine when we arrived and it had everything. Beds made, new towels, fresh oranges, bread, honey and all with a smile and very good manners. We enjoyed watching them make a bun in the "forno" and they explained where to go and where to eat. A sweetheart. I recommend this house 100% especially because of Hortensia's warmth. He even gave me a typical Portuguese tablecloth. Amazing stay and wonderful owner. Thank you very much, Hortensia.

Comfortable house in a beautiful setting. Friendly and helpful host, who fortunately takes apiculture very seriously! As tenants, we received a jar of delicious chestnut honey. Recommended.

My experience with this Airbnb was unbeatable. The place is cozy, attention to detail and surrounded by tranquility. The hosts have been lovely, always attentive and with a very nice energy. We only stayed one night because we went specifically to see an event in Vinhais, however, it's very nice. Large house, with everything needed for a longer stay. Beautiful views, very clean and arranged house. Quiet place and close to several places of interest. D. Paula is very friendly and responsive to messages. It was a short stay, but we really liked the hostess and the house.

I spent 3 nights in this accommodation, renting the entire house with family and friends. The stay was great. But the best part was the attention of the hosts of the house, Ana Carina and Marcelo, who were always available for anything we might need. They were very kind when we arrived and left. The house, carefully equipped as a family home, exceeded expectations: impeccable cleaning, efficient heating in winter and a traditional, simple and tasteful decor. It offers the essentials with excellence, including in the package, typical village security and an authentic charm, away from the standard of mass tourism. Parking is on the street but it is easy and certain, as is the confidence of the host by providing utensils and towels at will — a gesture that deserves reciprocal respect. However, I had an initial difficulty: the address was not located by Google Maps/Waze, as it is in a rural village. I contacted the host who was promptly solicitous and everything resolved. Despite this small logistical challenge, the experience was perfect. For those seeking a cost-effective connection of simplicity, values respect for space and details, as well as seeking an authentic and welcoming experience, I recommend without hesitation! Everything was great, the host was a very kind man, whenever we needed something he helped us with whatever it was. The place is great, secluded with great views and a lot of peace. Mr. David and his wife were very attentive and friendly people. We had some difficulty finding the place since in the village next door there is a street with the same name and the GPS directed us there... However, Mr. David was always contactable and we quickly resolved the situation. Upon arriving at the accommodation, he was waiting for us to receive us and facilitate check-in. There was a misunderstanding regarding the number of guests, but it was quickly resolved thanks to the promptness of the hosts. The home was clean and well equipped to welcome us. There were also sweets and coffee available to us. The stay went very well and we had a peaceful night.

Picote is a peaceful village where it's good to rest and for that the Casa Da Penha was perfect for us. A stone interior, tastefully renovated and has retained the character of the old with its fireplace and old stable. The small outdoor courtyard is also very nice. You can walk around the village and reach the beautiful viewpoint of the Douro in 5 minutes. A big thank you to our host for a great stay full of beautiful memories.
